1. I don't think there will be federal republics outside of Europe at the moment. And probably not many there.

2. Australia is mainly Orcs, not humans and Dark Elves. There are small Dark Elf colonies on the northern coast, but thats it. There are no other Elves there. Gnolls live in the Americas. There are humans, but they're tribal types who don't really care much for state and kings and such, spending most of their time wandering around in the desert trying to get high on spider bites.
(From which most of them die.)

3. 145,000 is rather small. Especially to control most of Australia. You can have Queensland, New South Wales or Victoria and Tasmania. Call it, lets say, 3,000,000 people. Although, as I said, most of them would be Orcs. There are also various beast-people on Australia, however.

Also, I want to point this out to the new guys, Gnolls are not all of the furries; they are hyena-men. There are wolf-men and jackal-men as well. Gnolls are just one of many.
