So I'm seemingly in a spot of bother here at the moment. Outnumbered some horrendous hundred to one ratio popwise since Turgenev has a population of just over 300 Million. A few of my compadres from beyond the region have asked if they could assist. Now, I do want to limit this to Guanxi as much as possible, and I've already asked Crontor regarding military assistance in my possible conflict with him about allied support. But now a more general question. Would it be alright by all if a non-Guanxi nation provided aid to my nation? And by aid, I mean like... medical stuff and food for my populace. Not soldiers. Nevar soldiers.

Being the Delegate, I have no problem with this, aslong as its not a huge number of supplies - but an even number so it speak

Guys, I have a few ideas to get the action back into this RP. Firstly, for the sake of keeping the RP alive, I propose we retcon the arrival of the Rethan delegation until he gets back, since I cannot RP anything happening in Aquilinia - the Empress is frozen waiting for the Rethans to get into the limo.

Secondly, to add a new twist to proceedings, maybe a communist revolution and declaration of independence on Sirius, the smallest of the four Aquilinian islands? I wanted a communist puppet for RPs anyway, and this would be a great occasion. Would add even more chaos to things.

Lastly, how about an attempted terrorist strike at the Vienna Conference?

I'll wait for a reply here before I reply on the IC thread, since I would start RP'ing the revolution straight away.

Where does your military specialize? Armoured warfare, although this will be unlikely as the Yohannesian Empire is overstretched everywhere, from Guanxi to Gholgoth; Tyrrhenia to Europa. Basically look at me as the British Empire during the first world war; that of an overstretched empire.

General Questions;

Would consider your country a superpower? Well, some other rpers call me a major economic power in NS, some call me a new military major power; most knows me as an economic major power, perhaps similar to Germany in real life; without any serious military reputation, but an established economic clout. However, i see myself as a normal player, really. Having vast overseas empires throughout multiple established rping regions are actually more of a curse, rather than a gift; overextension is one of the major reason of that. Overextension will also be the reason the impact of my entry into this conflict will not be significant, as my formations, whether it be land, air and/or naval, are overextended to guard my vast empires

Have you signed any treaties or made any allies in Guanxi? If so, list them here: I believe i am closely affiliated IC'ly with some nations in Guanxi.

Do you promise to stay committed to the role-play, and let other participants know if you are going to be on an extended leave of absence? Yeah, i will gladly take the role of more of a side role, rather than a major role.. i believe my frequent inactivity will provide possible problems for the flow of the plot; hence why i believe i should just be put in as part of the side-story, with the more active members getting the front role.

EDIT: Oh, and of course there shouldn't be an international reaction yet (or at least not too much of a reaction) since they haven't declared independence yet. That'll be done in the first post I make using the puppet. Of course, any interaction between Aquilinia and Sirius will be RP'd using my main nation, for simplicity's sake.

The only issue is things getting too hot too quickly. Kyle and I had this discussion that this is fast becoming a hot war, and not a cold war as was intended. Hence why I'm trying to drag things out regarding my own actions. I figure since Crontor is already marching an army through the NPC nation, I'd blackmail said nation into suddenly turning on him. Probably by planting a few nuclear warheads in major population centres, and threaten to detonate one for every few kilometres closer his army gets to my border. Make this public knowledge in the NPC nation and everyone in it suddenly turns on Crontor in a "Why did you get us involved" kind of way. Fulfills the proxy war side of things anyway....
