Hmm...that s quite a problem, I hate when i put it on my lap and it burns me, or hte couch i place it on next to me. Usually i sit with a book or pillow on my lap, and the computer on top.

If you have a spare keyboard lying around, i would plug that in and see if it works.

Sadly, I have no USB keyboard, and the laptop only has USB.

Go to your local DIY or hardware store and buy a can of compressed air. Unscrew laptop casing, and blast any dust away from the fan itself and keyboard wiring. This solved my issue when I had the same problem.

Also, since the Nequam are more than a bit paranoid regarding everyone going to a meeting they're not invited to Aquilinia, mind if I send my own diplomatic Kommandant to your state? The Nequam aren't likely to wait around for you to be done possibly organising an offensive against them.

I already have a visitor (the Empress of Kylarnatia) around, but sure, why not. It would make things interesting now that the two delegates I had intended to send to Turgenev after the Vienna conference have revealed that you have invited them to negotiations, and are now trying to avert war by encouraging negotiation.

And regarding that cleaning the fan, I've only done that last week, and unscrewing doesn't work because the thing is built a bit...stupidly. Anyway, the problem is that even though the laptop is going pretty hot, the CPU is almost idle, so the system apparently sees no need to turn the fan up.

Well, since I am doing a download that has been running for a day and won't be done for another twenty hours (damn the bleeding Deutsche Telekom (our internet provider) who fail to give us the speed we pay for, and actually bill us for TWO internet access tariffs...and we still only get a maximum of 344kbit/s, although we pay for 6k+1k) I can't shut the thing down (done it before, and I lost about four hours worth of downloaded files) to let it cool down. Ah well, as long as it keeps running...I had it in lockdown for overheating twice before, and it's nowhere near THAT hot.

Well, I will tell Rethan that a delegation from all Guanxi nations would like to meet them and talk.

Oh, and btw, I have reintroduced the Sylvari plant people to Aquilinia. I had only just brought them into the "original" Aquilinia just before the revamp, and I decided to bring them back. There aren't many of them, and they are just like humans in appearance (apart from a few details). The only significance is their weird anatomy and their even weirder culture, as well as their habit of using antiquated firearms. Don't worry, I'll tell you when I introduce a new character whether this character is Sylvari, and none of the currently used characters are (I had considered retconning Grand Admiral de Lune into a Sylvari, but decided against it). The factbook part about them I linked above is heavily WIP, but should have some basic info in it by this evening.

Just one question, guys: Where do you see an Admiral actually weeping? I mean, Grand Admiral de Lune is shuddering with cold rage both at the other delegates and herself, and she did lose her temper a bit, but nobody's weeping...whining perhaps, but Violette and Norina are just a bit overly careful with prospective losses...

KWESTSHUN TYME.

So I'm seemingly in a spot of bother here at the moment. Outnumbered some horrendous hundred to one ratio popwise since Turgenev has a population of just over 300 Million. A few of my compadres from beyond the region have asked if they could assist. Now, I do want to limit this to Guanxi as much as possible, and I've already asked Crontor regarding military assistance in my possible conflict with him about allied support. But now a more general question. Would it be alright by all if a non-Guanxi nation provided aid to my nation? And by aid, I mean like... medical stuff and food for my populace. Not soldiers. Nevar soldiers.
