Guanxi Cold War: Idea and Sign Up (Closed, ATTN Guanxi)

Give me a name for a Crontorian trade ship that might be in an Aquilinian port and we can start RP'ing that new aspect of the newly rekindled Cold War. Also, since there doesn't seem much more for me to be done, the Aquilinian delegation will take their leave from the conference.

It'll be a while until my next post, though, I'm watching a film right now.

Perhaps it could be a way to start the proxy war we were talking about. You order the Milisians to detain one of my war vessels in their water, they refuse, and you declare war on them?

Either way it should be an interesting development.

I would prefer if a ship of my navy tries to inspect a LCU civilan ship in Milisian waters (not realizing that they are not in international waters), the Milisians try to stop them, the Kriegsmarine fires back and bang we have an undeclared war.

Excellent, I'll start drafting up my post so.

I figure it would be a bit nonsensical if I suddenly invaded everyone with total randomness yelling something akin to BANZAIIIIIIIIII, so how's this for an idea? Due to recent events in Guanxi, the Rethast Nequam Command Unit in charge of Turgenev (my colony) uses it as a cover for building military might in the region. At about the same time ICly as we begin our invasions in Azhukali, we strike out. First at small regions around us (the blank white space on the map) which results in small scale skirmishes in and around our colony. This pisses us off, resulting in larger movements against people's homelands. Between the build up and the actual beginnings of the first set of skirmishes, we'd have a bit of diplomatic banter and people wondering just what we're up to, maintaining the Cold War aspect.

This way, it's worked into the story as opposed to being a random encounter on the levels of Final Fantasy. SUDDENLY, FASCISTS!

Yeah, about that....I would prefer if you wouldn't throw everything you have against me, since as you remember I only have 82 Million population, and I don't really feel like turning that back into 2 billion out of a sudden. However, else I wouldn't stand a chance, I feel. Skill can only get you so far against a force more than 10 times larger than your own. And the only weapon that would help me is one I would very much like not to use: da n00kz. So, yeah, if it comes to war, give me a chance, okay?

Or perhaps, I could improve my chances by bringing forces in from an as-of-yet unspecified colony...would you guys be okay with that? I'm just beginning to feel that 82 million vs several billion won't be much fun to RP for me if it happens. Not because I am likely to lose, but because of the extreme odds with whom I'm going to lose. And I think I won't have many allies...

IC post coming up in a bit, btw. Seeing that I am the only one on an European time zone (excluding Kyle, but he's not at home) playing a major part in this, I'll be taking my time.

And I hope it's okay with you, Crontor, that I say I just got through before the orders to close your waters to Aquilinian ships could be enforced.

Lets just say OOCly (because it was never specified in the IC) that only the yacht went through and met up with the carrier group once it had gone through your waters? I wouldn't have wanted to park a carrier in your waters even if we hadn't been almost at war.

Nice, I will respond later. I propose we don't start fighting yet, instead, we just further heighten tensions, waiting for the Rethan attack. If we win the conflict, I propose the GCW begins anew, similar to the real cold war after WW2.
