OOC: Anticipating this thread's relocation to either Global Economics or Factbooks (depending on whether it's for export or not, as the TC has been contradictory), my impression of this fighter is that it is, pardon the criticism, terrible for a Modern Tech design. The lack of detail (ferrying range, combat range, height, length, width, on-board RADAR systems, number of gun rounds and what caliber the 'Type 200' cannon even is, maximum take-off weight, maximum payload, number of hardpoints, any potential stealth capabilities, etcetera) along with the implausible capabilities that are presented for a Modern Tech fighter indicate that a great deal of work is needed to refine this design.

First, at anything remotely approaching the listed maximum airspeed (Mach 5) the externally-mounted weaponry would literally be ripped off the aircraft, causing potentially fatal structural damage. Never mind the fact that the scram/ramjet engines required for these speeds are not available in Modern Tech for use on a piloted aircraft. Of course, there is also the fact that approaching anywhere near this speed would consume significant amounts of fuel, reducing the aircraft's effective combat range, which is not given.

Also, mounting torpedoes on a supersonic fighter? Air-launched anti-ship missiles would be much more effective and, in all likelihood, much lighter to boot. Also, capabilities for the 'MAC-05' are necessary (speed, weight, range, etcetera). Perhaps taking this plane to the NSDraftroom would be helpful.

Lastly, for my money, I would much rather buy planes from Imperial Aerospace/Doomingsland, EA, Lyras, Yanitaria, TSS or one of probably a half-dozen other exporters.
