The Royal Family of the Holy Imperium of Celis: The House of Melhavre

The House of Melhavre traces it's humble beginnings back to the rule of Prince Robert Melhavre. First Monarch of Celis he gained control through a bloodless coupe that resulted in his ascension to the throne, creating the first Celisian Royal House. Although his origins are debatable it is thought that he came from a native people of Altarra [Altarra being the large Island Celisians have settled.] Though no solid proof exists of such a theory, the families trade mark Violet eyes give rise to suspicion that these accusations are in fact true. No native people of Altarra are alive today, and so historians have been forced to rely on written evidence of how they appeared physically. In these descriptions an obscure text mentions the fact that the Altarrans had deep purple eyes. Throughout the rule of the Royal House of Melhavre, Celis has prospered and a new reign of Monarch's loved by the people has begun. Loyalty throughout the country is focused on the Royal House with little evidence of other political parties being present. Although few do believe in such things as democracy and socialism they are the minority and are shunned, the people believing that the current ruler will be able to discern the proper course of action. The Royal House has married into other foreign houses as well, the majority of these being from the United Dominion. This occurrence has let to friendly relations between the two nations, tying them together in a fashion that cannot be ignored. Now the Royal House is yet again looking for outside individuals to marry into their family. Will members of your royalty choose to marry into the Royal House of Melhavre?

Why the Applicant is interested in the said family member?

I cannot be dishonest and pretend that I know any of the Imperial Princesses whose pictures I have seen but of whom I know absolutely nothing. Nor can I pretend that I come from anything other than a dethroned House which was only recently revived by my father, who seized control from a corrupt political party in an effort to re-establish order and honour to my country. My country is in the midst of a civil war, which has recently managed to establish a cease-fire with the help of the International Community. Your country is so different from my own--in its recent adoption of Christianity, in its long established monarchy which is absolute in authority, in the general peace I gather is its condition.

I am hoping that perhaps I could find out more about the Princesses or High Priestess based on my own interests, so that compatibility could perhaps be a factor. I enjoy playing polo and tennis and I like to swim. As well as these I enjoy the theatre and music; I have to admit that I'm not much of a reader for leisure but I do enjoy doing so to be well informed about the world. Generally I am what would be described best as being confident but quiet in manner, rather like my father.

I am not a courtier by upbringing but a dutiful son and soldier of my country. I would like to demonstrate this by marrying into a more well established royal family, but at the same time I would not want to marry a woman who felt I did not have the willingness to be a good, faithful and devoted husband. It has always been my desire to marry out of mutual respect and desire to demonstrate the biblical virtues that a husband and wife should have between one another. This is described in the Holy Scriptures as patience, kindness, generosity, modesty, faithfulness, tender desire and understanding companionship. I had considered it before, and when the oppurtunity sprung, I took it at my cousin Max(Premier Maxwell P. Alben)'s urging. Corporal Paul Lambourne found himself on yet another patrol in the Officer's Wing of Project Black's Military Complex, the highest-altitude military-owned facility in YellowApple and, quite possibly, all of Earth's atmosphere. The glow of a computer screen through an open door, however, was not routine. Curious, Paul quietly approached the doorway and peered inside, finding nobody throughout the office within. The single glowing computer monitor lured him into the comfy rolling chair in front of it, and Paul read the news feed maximized on the screen, fascinated by the happenings of international royalty.

It wasn't long before he also stumbled upon a bulletin announcing the availability of various members of Celisian Royalty for marriage. He skimmed through the photographs and came across that of Princess Hannah. Something about her struck him as perfect. Is attempts to use reason against replying were futile; he quickly caved into his own temptations and, knowing full well the consequences of infiltrating an officer's communications, he wrote with as much sincerity he could squeeze out of his heart and more eloquent language than what could be expected by even many officers and diplomats.
