The Declaration of Valedonia. (Open (MT))

OOC thread : viewtopic.php?f=5&t=101462

The corridor of the honourable ancestors.

A reflection of countless aspirations, dreams, and voices. Its surrounding stone walls, anciently filled with the irreplacable and priceless passage of history itself, astride of the innumerable cracks identifying the past presence of destiny and story of a thousand generations, whispered upon one's sanity of the never-ending passage of civilisation and mankind.

A corridor of sanctity and soul.

The spot whereby the name Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy was painted upon the very chapter of history itself, proudly embellished upon the year 1987. Never forgotten and put aside, up to the present day. For it was here that the history of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy was made, and the unification of a divided brothers and sisters forever consolidated.

She walked slowly whilst ignoring the commotion around her.

Ceara Bickerton had always fancy it this way. She looked at the bright and blue sky above, rasing her head slowly at the peaceful assymetry and metaphor of heaven's presence itself. The soothing and morning breeze could be felt upon her face, and she was enlightened yet more by the wonderful feeling itself.

She walked slowly towards the left stonewall. A broken yet identifiable painting of the historical flaming vanguard of phoenix itself, flying and proudly extending its majestic wings upon the resemblance of countless commoners. Courage and tenacity could be felt upon as one looked upon the legendary creature of fantasy and numerous tales.

"Courage...", the First Minister of the Imperial and Royal Authority, the highest executive authority within the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, whispered to herself.

She looked straight at the creature's glaring eyes. "Surely i will need it..", and she sighed. Her nervousness hidden within her unshakeable wall of stone, built by her alongside the rite of passage itself, and marked permanently with numerous past experiences.

Ceara Bickerton was unlike any other previous First Minister of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy. Pragmatic and strong-willed, she was deemed publicly within the Dual Monarchy as one of the most popular executive head of government within all its constituent states' history. Born in 02 July 1970 within the atmosphere of a working class family, Bickerton's pragmatic approach towards life, and consequently the realm of politics, was consolidated by the time she reached the age of seventeen.

Her father was the strong figure within the household, as her mother was a dedicated housewife, forever held accountable for her, and all her two siblings' positive achievements in life. She was nurtured the way that she was meant to be; as the oldest daughter within a working class household, Bickerton's mother guided her through the wonderful maze of life itself.

The importance of education, aspiration within one's life, and of course, she thought amusingly even now, the intriguing case of love and males.

She smiled to herself, even now the vision of these wonderful moments within her life still not ceased to amaze her. The alternative vision of whether she would have become a physiatrist or perhaps, a loving housewife within a prosperous household as she once wanted to be, was neither here nor there, she thought to herself. What was of importance would be the fact that without her parents' benevolent and loving guidance, Bickerton would not made it as far as she could ever be as of now.

She looked up at the sky again. Her dark blue eyes could not hide the accumulation of small tears, gaining momentum slowly as she was reminded of her loving father and mother, and her moment of childhood. She had felt this sense of lost for quite some time, ever since her mother passed away six years ago, and finally and most devastatingly to her, the passing of her father a year after that.

And finally, the wave of tears engulfed upon her, nonetheless her effort to block her sadness could not even hold the realisation that her loving father would not be there to guide her way through the maze of life itself.

She raised her right hand to wipe her tears, whilst her left hand was holding an embroided piece of paper. It was not just another normal letter. It was an official letter, symbolised as a "declaration act". Within the Anago-Yohannesian empire, ever since its unification as a single national and political entity in 1987, the "declaration of act" had always been one of the highest order within the hierarchy of numerous other "official acts".

The word declaration within the act part itself was put forward as a way to emphasize the fact that any act associated with that word would be directed at not the domestic realm of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy itself, but the international realm of innumerable and countless nations. An act directed towards the international community.

It was not since the unification of the Dual Monarchy in 1987 that a declaration act was made.

Indeed, Bickerton thought amusingly, her wave of tears was finally receding at last, the first and only official declaration act was constitutionally and officially made and announced only in 2 December 1987 , when the Kingdom of Yohannes and the Confederate States of Anagonia decided to unite under one national banner, as the imperial and royal sovereignty of the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes, and unofficially and popularly known by its close associated nations and unofficial allies as the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, or the Dual Monarchy.

But then again, even she agreed within her heart that this second declaration act was made to finally emphasize upon the position of the empire in regard to its foreign affairs and relations towards the international community of varying national sovereignties.

She sat upon one of the mahogany-coloured wooden seat located just on her left side, whilst slowly reading the letter issued to her by the Imperial Diet, the supreme entity of legislative assembly within the land of the rising sun.

She knew that the recent establishment of cultural, economic, and military alliance made between the Lamonian Free Republic, stratocratic Lyran Protectorate, and the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, was one of the major reason behind the establishment of this recent declaration act.

The said letter was issued to her two days ago, and as according to the laws written upon the #117 Ministerial Act, Bickerton was under the law, restricted from reading upon the said letter, and consequently, act in accordance to her possible reaction towards the legislated decision, until at least the second of the day the initial and completed letter was sent constitutionally towards her working desk.

If her mind had not betrayed her, exactly more or less around this moment that the declaration act would finally be announced publicly and officially towards the international community, and its associated national sovereignties and represented entities.

Knowing amusingly that the restriction was finally gone, she opened the folded letter, and slowly read upon the written piece of legislation.

It read.

Nation,

This…declaration is an interesting one in deed; neither do I have hateful words for or utmost praise for this declaration which I feel is wholly unneeded at the moment. Of course, this is based solely on my opinion. But, the Holy Caelumist Imperiate officially recognizes and commends such an action by the The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes. We hope you continue to show such….merit.

Dear sir and/or madam

I can assure you, good sir and/or madam, that so long as the Holy Caelumist Imperiate diplomatically bound itself to re-assure the empire upon the imperiate's diplomatic and political positive views regarding the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy as a national sovereignty.

With the rightful god-given and heaven-granted right(s) to civilise the mostly unknown and numerous uncivilised barbaric regimes internationally.

Then I as the Imperial and Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs representing His Majesty Government, sees no possible problem as to how the Imperiate and the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy would find each other at an opposing political side.

To: Syahnan Soeharto. Imperial and Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.

Libertarian Governance welcomes your move to take a more active stance in the international community. The tyranny of slavery must be met head on and with force, violence and economic action. We would hope your nation moves immediately to seize the assets of any country, business, group or individual who participates in anyway with slavery or trafficking in sentient beings. We would hope that your honorable nation immediately severs all ties with those involved in slavery. We would hope that the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes moves to search and seize the naval traffic of any nation involved in the slave trade.

Libertarian Governance is willing to provide for a sharing of intelligence in these matters and further make available to military forces fighting this horrendous and despicable industry the use of bases throughout our sphere of influence.

Sincerely,

Dear Tom McWain

Honourable sir, it is indeed a pleasure to yet again hear from you personally. As the Head Authority of the Imperial and Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I have seen yet time and time again, as the Libertarian Free Republic aided and supported the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy upon its various cultural, economic, militaristic, and political "ventures" historically.

Good sir, it is indeed with the utmost honour in mind that we shall allow the transportation and usage of any strategic military and projectile power, naval bases of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy internationally, towards the accomodation and supporting logistical venture(s) of any future governments of the Libertarian Free Republic.

With the strictest sense of diplomatic camarederie and honour.

By Decree of The Acheronian Bastion of Gratislavia
“Fury unmatched, Rage all consuming”

Addressed to: His Imperial Majesty Hamengkubuwono II of Anagonia-Yohannes
Written in the hand of: His Imperial majesty Aeonian Lord Ivan Schroeder, Defender of the Dark Bastion, Protector of the New Roman Catholic Faith, and lord supreme of all Gratislavia and her realms.
Regarding: The Declaration of Valedonia

In past days the Gratislavian state has stood generally on par with the Anagonian-Yohannes state, this declaration is further solidification of such thoughts. With all respect due the Gratislavian Lord and people would like to formally offer their congratulations and pleasure regarding their new found confidence and general civilized expansionist policies that have become common place these days. In coordination with this the Acheronian Bastion of Gratislavia would like to extend a formal invitation regarding a delegation or rather a conference on such matters.

While the declaration does propose various things of a productive manner, it must also be said that the Bastion has sighted one massive flaw; of to which the topic is slavery. While in it's own right not practicing slavery the Bastions urges the Anagonian-Yohannes state to reconsider their position. While recognizing slavery as a deplorable practice, it is rather counter productive to interfere with one's own ideological premises regarding that of economics. Therefore we once again urge the Anagonian-Yohannes state to adapt the status quo regarding the slavery debate, lest the be sucked into the international bureaucratic and suffocating conflict known as the slave war's.

Office of the President of the Free Republic of Lamoni

To: Syahnan Soeharto. Imperial and Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.

We heartily approve of the declaration made this day by the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes. Exiting a period of diplomatic isolation is always hard, but the results can be worth it. With the new alliance between our nations, the Free Republic is always willing to offer a helping hand, if needed.

We also welcome the Dual Imperial Monarchy's entrance in the war against slavery. Slavery is a black stain on the fabric of humanity, and it is the duty of all freemen to free those who have been enslaved. As our soldiers have picked up from those of Allanea, "Death to the slaver!"

She sat smiling, reading Tom McWain's latest report.

Bickerton was expecting Chief Minister Tom McWain and the Libertarian Governance to support the latest venture and objective within the second clause of the Valedonian Declaration. She had watched as the Libertarian Governance never ceased to weaken their never-ending staunch actions againts the socio-economic activity known as the practise of slavery itself. Full trading embargoes, naval blockage, cyberwafare, unwarranted satellite strikes, even military intervention, were just some of the most notable and some political analysts within the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy would say to be counter-productive in result, the hardliner methods conducted by the Libertarian Governance towards national sovereignties which engaged upon the practise of slavery itself. Bickerton still remembered the exact case where the Libertarian Governance had militarily intervened and invaded the Lykosian Unitary Republic, during the 1980s, previously before the unification of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy as one empire. The word brutal would be best describe the unnecessary reactions made by the Libertarian Governance within that historical conflict.

Then again, she wanted to keep in good book with the Libertarian Governance. Observing Tom McWain's latest economic and financial reports regarding the Free Republic of Libertarian Governance, Bickerton could identify at once the various signs of a prospering economy at its apex; relatively low government-to-public debt ratio to GDP, cautious governmental department spending, the consolidated balance of a political strength to accomplish the government's will in relation to its political power of base, an independent substantial arms manufacturing corporation known as LG Defense Inc., the Libertarian Governance had it good, positively speaking, for a substantial amount of time indeed. "their debt to GDP balance ratio seems pretty reasonable for an economically and militarily developed nation as well..", she was nonetheless impressed by the various domestic and international diplomatic, economic, and military achievements made the ruling government of Tom McWain. If there would be one thing that she would agree on towards the Libertarian Governance, then it would be the fact that they would stay for quite some time indeed.

"The Deus Imperiate.."

Bickerton had rarely heard upon and remembered the name. Analysing through past experiences, tried as hard as she could, Bickerton just could not. "Interesting..",she raised her right arm and picked the anaylisis report indicated as the those within the analysis group regarding this Imperiate. She opened the first page, read the introduction, and suddenly one section had caught her eyes in a straight moment.

"This Deus Imperiate practised the art of... cannibalism.."

She closed the page, and decided that her previous and initial diplomatic reply to the Deus Imperiate was perhaps the acceptable reply. Aligning the empire with a savage as the Deus Imperiate would only aggravate the public's views towards her and her ruling government, and would serve in contrast as to the third clause of the Valedonian Declaration. However, the Deus Imperiate seems to hold no resources nor positions of strategic value at all, so it seems that a political position of that of a neutrality would indeed be the wisest choice. No harms done, after all.

KYRUS FROJITA STAETIA
Letter of Foreign Diplomacy and Camaraderie

Komakojnstaetia [ State Command Council ]
Kommasjirstaetia Inozejisprav [ State-Commissariat of Foreign Affairs ]

Syahnan Soeharto
Imperial and Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anagonia-Yohannes

OUTGOING ENCRYPTION: None
PRIORITY: MODERATE

    Dear Ms. S. Soeharto,

The Fortified State of Kyrusia, the State Command Council, and the Kyrus Nation would like to congratulate the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anangona-Yohannes for their decision to enter upon the international community and more assertively direct the growth and progress of their culture.

In recent years, through isolationist surveillance of certain political factions and national entities within the constant turmoil of the international scene, the State has come to see a troubling strain of nations no longer willing to self-determine the growth of their culture abroad. Ethnic and national culture is a pride that each and every person - much less each national entity - should hold as priority, both domestically and foreign. Why nations and their constituent ethnic groups would not desire progress or expansion is confounding; the growth of one's culture and the pride placed within it is not imperialism, as some would suggest, but the inherent quality belonging to each and every culture for growth.

Secondly, the condemnation of slavery is a gracious attitude. The trafficking of human individuals, while the State Command Council does not view it as an issue of morality, is condemned nevertheless due to the inherently ethnically restrictive qualities it places upon the trafficked and objectified individuals. Such acts should not be tolerated; while the State does not view interventionism as an answer to this issue, we can do nothing more than applaud the Dual Imperial Monarchy for its efforts. In truth, it is the official opinion of the State that it is the responsibility of the marginalized and objectified groups to free themselves from the shackles of their oppression; no singular culture or group of individuals can place their support with another entity and expect such a third-party to fully respect the desires and wishes that they, as their own ethnicity, need and require if they, themselves, are unwilling to act in the self-determining manner of securing their own freedom and prosperity.

Sincerely,

Kensington
Reformed Britannia

The unusually clement weather of the day-completely devoid of rain or unpleasant wind-had fit the general attitude of the Prime Minister perfectly. He had much to be proud of; his nation had managed to secure the disbandment of the infamous Free Missouri Watch Alliance, and in the process had also ensured that Missourian intervention abroad would be kept within the legal constraints of what the Britannians perceived as 'international law'.

Such diplomatic successes were not rarities for Britannia, although they were but mere oases of peace amidst the swirling torrent of chaos which was steadily spreading across the face of the civilised world. With the collapse of many major alliances and supranational organisations within such a short period of time, a massive power vacuum had been left-and countless smaller nations, unintimidated by the prospect of all-out war with their neighbours, sought to take advantage of this by reinforcing their country's interests with the bullet and the bayonet.

Britannian civilisation had never been truly inclined to violence, although meddling in foreign affairs was what kept things interesting around Parliament. Lucrative trade deals had given Britannia a trade surplus of nearly 1.4 trillion NSD, an extremely high standard of living, a tiny unemployment rate and the second largest GDP per capita in all Azhukali, second only to the Nicksyllvanians-who were undergoing an invasion by the Allaneans, and as such, their GDP was expected to drop by a little, leaving Britannia as the economic 'tiger' of Azhukali.

Reflecting about all this in his office, Prime Minister Powers-Carne had actually expected to get through the day without having to write a single measly communique or missive when an aide stumbled into his office, clutching a sheaf of papers. The prime minister slowly pivoted his chair around to look at the young man, a freckle-faced lad of no more than twenty five years old.
"Sir," he began in his unmistakeably Salisbury accent, "you'll probably want to see this."

The prime minister motioned for the aide to hand him the papers, which were a printed copy of the Declaration of Valedonia. Powers-Carne read it impassively, making some indecipherable grunting noises as he read some clauses that either met with his discontent or wholehearted approval. Not long after, he had finished reading the document, and had set it down on his mahogany desk. His chair creaked slightly as he rose from it and turned to face his office's window, which had a magnificent view over the city of Kensington. As the sun began to recede behind the sprawling morass of both modern and historic structures, the dark cowl of night advanced, and some stars could even be seen overhead. Against this sight, the aide noted that the silhouetted figure of Powers-Carne was still remarkably imposing.

"Well, what are we to do about it, sir?" he inquired, his voice tinged with the slightest hint of anxiety.
Without turning to face the aide, the prime minister responded in a casual tone.
"Well, issue a statement of support, of course. This is no threat to our sovereignty. And besides, these people have the right idea." It was now that the prime minister looked over his shoulder at the aide, who wore a confused expression on his face. Chuckling slightly, Powers-Carne shook his head and began pacing back and forth before the windowsill.

"I'm sure you remember the Salisbury Declaration, don't you?" Without waiting for a response, the prime minister continued. "Well, that was a little bit of foresight on our part. You see, my good man, the world isn't the way it used to be. A fairly broad statement, to be sure, but an accurate one. The fact is, the power a nation wields becomes less and less defined over time-purely because most nations go about , erm, 'trading on the names' of either alliances they belong to or their own history as a nation." Pausing momentarily, the prime minister stopped and looked out the window.

"The fact of the matter is that it doesn't bloody well matter how big of an alliance you belong to, or how many nations you've hammered into a fine dust, or how many wars you've won if you stay within your niche as a nation. New nations are emerging constantly; the glories of the past mean nothing to them. Unless you get out there and interact with as many nations as you can, your influence is going to decline, because the amount of influence you have within a given circle of nations-say, Britannia's influence within Azhukali-just isn't going to cut it when you're dealing with other nations abroad. Activity on the international stage is what builds power, my good man." Turning to face the city of Kensington again, which was now aglow with lights, he spread his arms outward in a broad, sweeping gesture.

"It made all of this, after all. We wouldn't be the nation we are today if we didn't assert our divine right to intervene wherever and whenever we choose, and lawfully so-if we weren't constantly mediating negotiations and in the process gathering influence with new nations. That's the kind of initiative that builds empires. Diplomacy flows through the barrel of a gun." The prime minister stopped at that point, and turned to the aide, who seemed almost inspired by the prime minister's mini-speech.

"Well, I suppose I'd best get around to writing that bloody communique, then. Wouldn't do any good if I lectured you on the maintenance of influence and then failed to follow up on my basic principles, would it?"

OFFICIAL IMPERIAL COMMUNIQUE
Image

The Imperial Federation of Reformed Britannia supports the Declaration of Valedonia as a lawful document, and furthermore, applauds the strong anti-slaver stance outlined in the Declaration.
Slavery is an atrocious, appalling industry, and Britannia often does its best to combat the slavery problem abroad, although the use of military force is often difficult to achieve due to the fact that our own Queen Catherine was once a princess of the Anglo-Saxon Empire.

Nonetheless, we support this document and sincerely look forward to the righteous application of the clauses outlined in this document against the foul and barbaric nations of the world-nations who would seek to plunge humanity into an inescapable maelstrom of darkness that would be the death of civilisation as we know it.

Sincerely,
The Britannian Government,
on behalf of His Imperial and Royal Majesty King Robert II of the Britannian Empire

AN OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE FROM THE CITIZENS' REPUBLIC OF NORTHWEST AMERICANA

SUBJECT: Geopolitical ramifications of the recent Declaration of Valedonia
TO: Syahnan Soeharto, Imperial and Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.
FROM: The Diplomacy Department of the Citizens' Republic of Northwest Americana
ENCRYPTION STATUS: None

Minister Soeharto:

While the recent release of the Declaration of Valedonia serves to function as useful denunciation and deterrant against slavery, ultimately it is an act that serves to implement a dangerous neo-imperialist philosophy that constantly plagues the free Citizens of the international community. Indeed, while the denunciation of slavery in the Declaration is welcomed by the wholly populistic Citizens' Republic, diction concerning the supposition of "right" to intervene in the sovereign politics and matters of peoples that the Dual Imperial Monarchy finds "tribal" is completely unwarranted and represents a flagrant violation of the rights of a sovereign Citizenry and people. To allow one civilization to destroy the customs of another and supplant it with their own culture is, for all intents and purposes, uncivilized.

Although the Citizens' Republic would ordinarily welcome increased international cooperation and involvement from the Dual Imperial Monarchy, such involvement cannot be built on the backs of developing peoples whom are senselessly deemed to have "tribal and uncivilised characteristics." A declaration which openly endorses the "militaristic intervention", "political intervention", or "economic intervention" in other nations does not seek to forge ties with the international community in peace; rather, it will unwittingly further the anterior motive of foreign exploitation of oppressed peoples rather than liberate them from the chains of slavery.

Given that Anagonia-Yohannes presents itself as an advocate against slavery and bigotry, it should completely renounce the ethnocentric, expansionistic provisions of the declaration and affirm the cultural autonomy of all peoples. It is the very hopeful wish and sentiment of Americana that the Dual Imperial Monarchy recognize that true human freedom from bondage cannot come about without the freedom to adhere to one's own culture.

To : Lord Ivan Schroeder. The Acheronian Bastion Imperiate of Gratislavia.
From : Syahnan Soeharto. Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.
Subject : Diplomatic Communication

Dear Ivan Schroeder,

Good sir, it is indeed an honour upon my part to finally received upon a diplomatic letter from you yourself. Now my most honoured lord Schroeder, in regard to your inquiry as to the question of why the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy has finally put the initiative towards that of an anti-slavery stance of action, we have only one thing for you to say.

The Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy has in fact, for an innumerably long time indeed, acted progressively in the name of anti-slavery stance and abolishment. We have, for the past ten years, supported retroactively in combating the scourge of slavery in its every part. This we accomplished by pouring indescribable amount of monetary fund to support the abolishment of slavery and all its associated hideousness.

The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes is in fact, listed as the entity with the largest amount of donatory sum of monetary fund donated upon the WASO, or known officially as the World Anti Slavery Organisation, with a total amount of approximately US$100 trillion recorded within its scope of donation towards WASO in 2010, an extremely massive amount of fund thankfully easily achieved by the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy due to its position as the headquarter of the largest trading market, second largest and third largest financial institutions in the world.

However, we realised as the passage of time progressed through the sheer weight of humanity's various flaws and sins, that these efforts were misused, as until now we have seen nothing came out from the massive injection of monetary fund described previously; whether it be the major abolition of slavery overseas, and/or the improvement of existing slaves internationally. His Imperial and Royal Majesty Hamengkubuwono II decided therefore, that a more progressive and diplomatic musclestance must be retroactively pursue by the empire as a whole, lest the hideousness and virulent disease known as slavery itself ever won and stomped upon the heroic deeds of freedom, justice, and liberty.

In regard to your praise upon our newly adopted policy of active interventionism, we have nothing to say indeed but the utmost honour and praise upon our part towards the Acheronian Bastion of Gratislavia. We believe that only those deemed having the cultural complexity and superiority should erase the diabolical retardness of uncivilised tribal despotism and sickness of the unwashed and unfit, to rule over these uncivilised cultures and socities would be an act of noble paternalism upon our part. The empire shall civilise these people and its societal make-ups and bring the glory of civilisation knocking upon their doors.

The unfit shall be shunned, their women shall be bred with those of the right quality, whilst their off-spring will be brought forward in the way of the rising sun. The Anago-Yohannesian Empire.

Know however, that we will not misused the said declaration act as a way to assert our sphere of influence and expand the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes's economic and military clout without any deserveable and major justification internationally. As long as the Gratislavian state does not find itself on the opposing trenches facing the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, then we shall continue forward mutually, through mankind's visionary tunnel, the march of honour itself, good sir.

    Dear Ms. S.

Subject : Diplomatic Communication

Dear Matvijko Bojanovic,

I would like to thank you for the latest commendation upon your part, good sir. Indeed, whilst we have not yet encountered as of present and/or recently, any form of diplomatic and/or economic part between both the Dictatorship of Kyrusia and the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes, however we believe that in the spirit of camaraderie the possibility of co-operation will indeed be there.

Whilst we recognise the fact that indeed, the state of Kyrusia is a sovereignty with that of a dictatorship ideals running within its political system, however I, as the Imperial and Royal Minister of Foreign Affairs, assure you that so long as the Kyrusian state does not intervene upon any future possible initiative(s) and/or operations within our part, then it is more than a clear reality indeed that we shall not compromise the rightful sovereignty of the Kyrusian state.

A recent pragmatic foreign policy and external relation course has been adopted by my superior, Ceara Bickerton, and i believe that this current course of political pragmatism would indeed be the best course upon the empire's strategic course of action.

Acknowledge the very fact indeed however, that the basic statement located upon the fourth clause, as aforementioned as The spreading of Anago-Yohannesian influence and rightful civilisation overseas, would only be applicable constitutionally upon those identified socially and politically as unable to rule and constitute as that of an independent national sovereignty.

This we believe, constitute those deemed as economic and military minor powers with the jurisdictional and constitutional, de-facto characteristics of any economic and/or social slavery indicated within their sovereignty and its corresponding territory. We believe that these virulent sovereignties should forever be banished from the face of humanity itself, political paternalism shall prevail, and whereas their barbaric and moronic characteristics shall be erased for the betterment of the whole world.

    To Ms. Syahnan Soeharto,

In response, I would like to thank your for your timely reply, and concur with the sentiments transcribed therein.

The Fortified State (classified as a "dictatorship" by the World Assembly due to the imposed "pariah" status of such a governing body) exists as a peculiar entity, so far as nation-states and the political enterprise is concerned. In truth, no single individual has
de jure control over the entirety of the Central Authority (that is to say, the State Command Council, the State Committee for Legislative Promulgation, and all bureaucratic apparatuses attached), but requires the willful, majority consent of the governing body to which said individual - in this case, the Komanjeralmus - administers. Our nation, visibly at least, operates according to the pragmatic political infrastructure of a technocratic stratocracy, defined by the economic principles of Kyrussocialijmu, as well as the social principles of ratraijnatonalijmu.

    In Kyrusia, the tenets of
conjusarexailji ("authority of law") and eltaijidemokraijmu hold sway. Further information can be garnered from the attached file.

Regardless of such differences, however, it is my belief - and, as such, the belief of the State Command Council - that the Fortified State and the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes may, indeed, cooperate in the future. The State, insofar as your homeland should be concerned, operates according to a strict "non-interventionist" policy, unless a case of immediate necessity due to a direct threat to the Kyrus Nation should arise. Due to this, we believe there would be no need for such trepidation or worry over a possible conflict-of-interest; the State has no desire to intervene into the affairs of the Dual Imperial Monarchy.

In closing, once more, I would like to thank you for your timely response and hope, in the future, should the determined peoples of Anagonia-Yohannes cross paths with the equally determined nationals of the Fortified State, that such a meeting shall be peaceful and prosperous for both parties.

Sincerely,

Dear Andrew Stinson,

It has once been said most vividly that a plague has once existed, a vague and long-forgotten plague known as the Bubonic plague. It came into existence, consumed the chain of humanity, erasing all forms of reason and sensibility in the process.

Sons slayed their father, daughter killed their mother, and lovers habitually abandoned each other, as greed and the heartless twin-sheath dagger and swords fell upon civilisation, all for the sake of one's own survivability has one abandoned one's loved ones.

As the plague dissapeared, and so was the scope of mankind itself sprang into a new rebith. Only to be consumed yet again by a second scourge, and devastatingly greater scope in magnitude, of the very same abomination.

The same cycle sprang into existence, all sense of brotherhood and love forgotten. The true identity of mankind and human civilisation was revealed, forever written and recorded through the long-historical tunnel and its often associated darkness and despair.

The virulent disease known to mankind as the act of slavery, or more appropriately the disease of slavery, was another metaphorical form of this very same plague. It sprang into existence, its earliest scope of existence went hand-in-hand with mankind's chapter of history itself. Our ancestors had fought for freedom, justice, and liberty.

The cause of the righteous weakened, and yet risen time and time again, as our most noble ancestors fought the scourge of this venomous snake, metaphorically the perfection of hell and the off-spring of satan's footprint upon the very surface of our world itself.

The virulent and venomous disease known to mankind as the cause of slavery and its associated social retardiness, has time and time again gained the initiative, and seized the weaks and the innocents. They have been taken off-the very basic right of our fellow mankind's itself. The right to live as they wish, do as they wish, and breath the air of freedom and hope, to love and care upon, and to know that they are a free individual.

Slavery, and its ever-lingering and hideous wretch effects has retarded and forever banished these rights, and ought to be erased forever from the very fabric of mankind itself. Our ancestors has failed, but we shall not, honourable president.

Let it be known that the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy shall forever support any venture made by the Lamonian Free Republic, to be there together, hand in hand, with our brother in arms, the Lamonian people and the Anago-Yohannesian, shall forever and together hold the cause of freedom, liberty, and justice, for all.

For everyone. And for the sake of humanity's faith in its inhabitants. For the future of our most beloved sons, and the never-ending cause of freedom and justice.

For Anagonia-Yohannes and Lamoni.

Sincerely,

To : Powers-Carne. Prime Minister. The Imperial Britannian Federation.
From : Syahnan Soeharto. Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.
Subject : Diplomatic Communication

Dear Powers-Carne,

Historically the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy and the Imperial Britannian Federation has managed to sporadically expand its spherical of influence horizon throughout the various uncivilised minor powers internationally. Together, our respective government had co-operated diplomatically, economically, and militarily, to share in the name of freedom and the rightful heaven granted territorial annexation and acquisitions simultaneously rightfully achieved and assimilated into both of our respective national sovereignty.

However, it all changed. In 1987 the Kingdom of Yohannes and the Confederate States of Anagonia has finally decided to put aside its respective political differences, and formed a unitary political entity. Following the said unification, the previous imperial and royal government headed by minister Setyoutomo then decided to sever the newly formed empire's ties with all its honourable allies and compatriots, and entered upon a long period of diplomatic and military isolation.

We have watched most vividly, as in contrast to the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy's stance of diplomatic isolationism, the Imperial Britannian government then engaged in a yet more intense period of interventionist course within its history. The Imperial and Royal government has observed the Imperial Britannian and Judean conflict, the Britannian Salisbury Declaration, and its various other unaccountably led interventionist initiatives, strategically seized upon yet time and time again by the Imperial Federation.

However, it all now changed.

The old orders has once again risen to reap its rightful share upon this very world we live upon. The Anago-Yohannesian Empire has concluded upon a bilateral non-aggression pact with that of the Scandinvan Empire, Lamonian Free Republic, and the Nickysllvanian Empire.

The Gothic lords has once again sprang into existence and adopted a more active interventionist policy.

The League of Imperial Nations and its associated brethrens has finally opened its eyes; waiting and wanting, to scavenge upon and seize upon any possibility of involvement within its part.

The Defensive Network of the honourable shield Incursus has been formed officially. The world has changed, and the old orders has once again reclaimed what was rightfully ours, as the new orders crumbled upon its own weight.

We are coming.

We advised the Imperial Britannian Federation that lest any unwanted and unnecessary diplomatic, economic, and/or political crisis would be the feasibility of the bilateral and forever stain upon our previously mutual recognition of each other's sovereignty, that the Imperial Britannian Federation would honourably exclude from intervening itself, diplomatically, economically, and/or politically, towards any geo-political sphere of influences that has been rightfully reserved, strategically as the rightful acquisitions of the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.

Know however, that we will be here for you, as a true brother in arms would, in time of need. So long as the Imperial Britannian Federation respected the aforementioned recognition of spherical influence, then the Anago-Yohannesian and Britannian flag shall forever be flown upon side by side.

Sincerely Yours

Valedonia Chancellery, Valedonia
Anagonia-Yohannes
Northeast Europa

The rain has stopped.

She observed and looked from the wooden-bordered window. Bickerton was surprised immensely beyond her own expectation. She never thought that the Valedonian Declaration would receive notable amount of positive official responses, than negative ones. She moved towards her wooden desk, and sat upon the mahogany-coloured wooden chair. She shuffled through the various imperial and royal letters, observing upon the multiple diplomatic letters, tactfully delivered within days of the Valedonian Declaration by multiple states; The Caelumist Imperiate, Libertarian Governance, Acheronian Bastion, Lamonian Free Republic. Heck, she thought to herself, even those warmongering fascist Grand World Order Federation chaps sent forward their own letter. She carefully dissected each possible hidden information and ulterior motives behind each wording of the multiple letters. She knew from her own experience, that these kind of letters must have contained any underlying intentions and/or motives behind it.

The Britannian Federation.

"These chaps finally contacted us yet once again", she have observed since her position as the imperial and royal First Ministry incumbent-of-office in 2006, the various interventionist initiative and achievements of the Imperial Britannian Federation. She was surprised indeed, knowing for so long that the Britannian has held their own grudge during which the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy decided to abandon its own imperial ambitions overseas, and instead focused upon its own domestic policies. She watched as the Britannian Federation vaguely and informally severed ties with the Anago-Yohannesian Empire, seizing their chance to shine upon the limelight in the process, whilst the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy started its long slumber.

"Then again, it is because of exactly this isolationist policy that we was able to achieve the position as the largest national economy in Europa, with over US$530 trillion gross domestic product in terms of the Anago-Yohannesian Empire's purchasing power parity, more than triple that of the Imperial Britannian Federation's economy", she thought amusingly to herself. Bickerton knew personally herself, that during this long period of slumber, the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy had instead applied the use of "soft-power" to its utmost extent and potential. It does not knock itself upon its neighbouring and international doors. No, it did not. Instead, the empire extended its hand upon various national sovereignties, adopting a more neutral stance in the process. "And rightfully so..

The Free Republic of Lamoni.

It was ever since the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy's unification in 1987 that it had tried incessantly to repair its political relation with that of the Lamonian Free Republic. The result was a bilateral economic and diplomatic recognition upon each other parts, whereby both the Lamonian Free Republic and the Anago-Yohannesian Empire's economies and its associated governmental policies would be geared towards a stance whereby each sovereignties would be able to mutually support each other. The abolition of various sector tariffs, the implementation of a bilateral military agreement by which the Lamonian Free Republic acquired the constitutional right to base their various naval formations within the Anago-Yohannesian Empire's various overseas spherical of influence, and administrative regional colonies and territories, would be one of the result of the said agreement. In return of course, the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy acquired the permission to establish its various economic and central banking institutional branches within the Lamonian Free Republic, and all corporate entities in regard to financial and banking originating from the Anago-Yohannesian Empire would be given the permission to operate within the Lamonian Free Republic. The Reserve Bank of Indonesia and the Indonesian Empire Stock Exchange alone had seen their shareholding value went up sporadically ever since the establishment and ratification of this deal.

"Trully, the Lamonian knew it better than anyone else."

She put aside the numerous long pages of official letters, and looked upon the unread portions of the long-count of diplomatic communications still left untouch. One letter caught her eyes.

"The Grand World Order Federation."

She smiled thinly, and seized upon her pen.

"Time to write another good old letter to the fascist warmongering chaps.. Life has never been better indeed."

And the sun has returned, seen most brightly through the window.

To : The office of Sir Griffith. The Fascist Federation of The Grand World Order.
From : Syahnan Soeharto. Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.
Subject : Diplomatic Communication

Dear honourable sir,

Indeed, good sir. It is with a sense of mild amusement that I have watched the Grand World Order Federation numerously intervened upon foreign national soverignties' affairs and relations, to an extent that His Imperial and Royal Majesty Hamengkubuwono II himself had once inquired upon whether there was something knocking metaphorically upon sir Griffith's head himself. Know for sure there good sir, that we have watched the Fascist Federation extended its strategic scope of spectrum, operation-wise, and overstretched its power projectile capabilities in the process, to an extent that it had to pull itself out of numerous observable tactical-level conflicts, which received an over-reaction in comparison, unnecessarily of course, with that of a strategic-scope of threat and operation.

Know however good sir, that we have not forgotten the many trading and economic participations of multiple Grand World Order merchants and multi-national corporate entities within the Anago-Yohannesian Empire's various overseas administrative colonies and territories. We have watched as multiple private business entities profited from the highly open trading and free-market approach which can be observed upon retroactively initiated within the economic spectrum of our various administrative colonies and territories abroad. And for that honourable sir, we will have to thank you. For without these corporate entities, our respective colonial authorities, departments, and governments, would not acquired the numerously collectable amount of corporate taxes it has received so far.

The time has come once again to share in the fruit of glory and majestic dream. The Anago-Yohannesian Empire has always viewed the Fascist Federation with that of a strictly neutral stance, and hereby we shall honoured the exact view, nonetheless shall be observed upon the wake of the Valedonian Declaration without a doubt, good sir.

May both the Anago-Yohannesian Empire and the Fascist Federation prosper well into the future.

Sincerely Yours

The Minoan Government today made a brief comment on The Declaration of Valedonia amid ongoing efforts to assist Japan on the disaster effort. It states that any attempt to tackle slavery is sought after by the Minoan government and will welcome all efforts, especially those which aim to end human trafficking and sex slavery from Eastern Europe.

Finished upon writing the reply to the Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order, Bickerton raised herself slowly from her wooden seat, and made her way towards the wooden desk. Picking up a small glass containing the latest Las Trancas Elite Cognac Sipping slowly, she thought most confusingly at the letter sent towards her working desk by the Fascist Federation.

It is without a doubt that that criminal Griffith himself had acknowledged the negative stance officially taken by the Imperial and Royal Authority and its associated constituent government towards the Grand World Order Fascist Federation. She have heard personally herself, prior to her taking the incumbency-office, that the Fascist Federation was known for its notorious and rather humorously, she thought to herself funnily, stalkative diplomatic tendencies towards communist and like-minded social and political left-wing governmental sovereignties. Heck, she knew herself that these criminals even had the tenacity and spare time to threaten absurdly powerless communist and socialist national sovereignties internationally.

"Not that we will follow that same path, to be honest."

Indeed, Bickerton knew ever since she took the oath and honour of first ministerial incumbency in 2006 that the interventionist policy adopted by the Grand World Order would not be the suitable path for the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy. Benevolent paternalism, a long-established way of politics, and clearly the historically adapted political expertise of the empire, would and should be the clear path ahead.

Commerce and trade would always be the utmost and number one priority, for without the foundation of a strong commercial and economic presence, together with a consolidated financial monetary exchange reserve treasury, the armed forces of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, the Kaiserlichen und Königlichen Streitkräfte, would only be a hollow shell devoid of any notable foundation. "Military initiative can only be held for so long, until the moment when the financial and economic foundation and initiative is gone".

The Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy was also renown and reckoned for its uncessantly initiated commercial and financial warfare, through which it was able to establish itself swiftly, and unexpectedly, in comparison to that of a direct confrontational foreign policy, of which would always be regarded by her personally to be that of an unwise and unnecessary move. "Unless national prestige is the de-facto cause, of course."

She checked upon her official black-coloured pager, and was surprised upon seeing the content within the said device. "Diplomatic communique' by the Minoan..? Interesting. They rarely communicate inter-governmentally unless any of their commercial and domestic political interest is one of the underlying interest." She put the pager upon her desk, and sat upon the comfortably built and internally structured wooden chair. She thought for a moment. "What would be the favourable and sensible respond towards the Minoan government's diplomatic communication letter..?"

She have heard recently that the Minoan has finally expanded their central monetary authority's scope of operation internationally. That indeed, would be the right content within this particular diplomatic reply. She seized her pen and started to draft upon the reply, and a possible proposal, towards the Minoan government.

Official Public Statement

The empire, having reviewed thoroughly the terms of The Declaration of Valedonia, wishes to officially congratulate involved parties regarding the recent treaty. We hope it will be a beacon of light for those currently enslaved and an inspiration for other countries around the world.

The empire, her government and citizens, believes in justice and liberty for every man - regardless of their thoughts or beliefs - and regards such anti-slavery policies as a triumph for the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes. As such the empire is willing to accept a small delegation from the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes's intelligence services to review our documents on the practicers of slavery.

Attn:The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes
From:The Foreign Ministry of the Holy Cailene Empire of Azura
Date:Thursday, the Seventeenth of March, Two Thousand and Eleven.
Subj:The Declaration of Valedonia

To the Dual Imperial Monarchy:

The Holy Cailene Empire of Azura—per the authority granted to me, the Great and Noble Achæon of the Holy Cailene Empire of Azura, Caius Anaximander IV—would like to applaud you for your recent decision to take a more decisive stance against the human chattel trade. While we applaud you for your evocative declaration, we shall reserve further comment in this matter until we have seen your hand be put into practice. We wish not to imply that we distrust, nor scoff at the measures you have sought to undertake. Far be it for us to take to task an honorable nation that seeks to end the morally reprehensible slave trade, which has for far too long kept our human brethren fettered in chains.
On the contrary, the Azuran Empire is always prepared to stand with a fellow ally in the fight against human slavery, and will furthermore support you in your endeavors to the end of the Earth, and the expiration of all times. We do wish, however, to urge caution in the vast powers your country has now purposed to exploit. While your aim is true, we shudder at the potential for your new power to be grossly abused by successors to the throne of the Dual Imperial Monarchy who may not share your penchant for the tastes of moral living.
Consider my missive to you this day... a fond token of my affection towards a nation who the Azuran people are proud to call allies—and a friendly reminder that wanton aggression, no matter its purpose, shall one way or another be checked before it can spread and eat away at the peace we now share like a cancer. We wish you great fortune in your new direction, people of Anagonia-Yohannes, and pray that your aim remains forever true.

As it is done in Heaven, so shall it be done on Earth.

Audemus jura nostra defendere

To : Marian Chantress. Representative of the Minoan Seigneur and Chief Governor of Charlotte Island. The State of Minoa.
From : Syahnan Soeharto. Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes.
Subject : Diplomatic Communication

Dear Marian Chantress,

I as the Head of the Imperial and Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would like to thank you ms. Chantress, for yet again sementing an already stronger bond between the State of Minoa and the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy. Indeed honourable madam, ms. Ceara Bickerton, my superior at the Imperial and Royal First Ministry, do believe staunchly that the present and past course of the empire, that of intervening indirectly, and financially, in the field of slavery abolishment, is indeed a futile way of abolishing the said abomination.

For more or less ten years the empire had contributed trillions of Universal Standard Dollar towards the cause of the World Anti Slavery Organisation, and sadly it had seen its contribution went unrecognised. Worst, nothing came out of the massive injection of monetary fund coming from the Anago-Yohannesian taxpayers. We believe that enough would be enough indeed, and the Valedonian Declaration would provide the right context towards this change of foreign policy and external course of relations.

Ever since the unification of Anagonia and Yohannes in 1987, the empire held an affectionary view of the Minoan nation, its culture, government, and people, with the utmost honour and brotherhood affection. This we believe can be seen during the entrance of the Dual Imperial Monarchy of Anagonia-Yohannes within the Ryberg Institute of Mutual Trade, an initiative which nonetheless strengthened the already solid bond between both the Minoan and Anago-Yohannesian governments.

In 2001, the Reserve Bank of Indonesia, the central monetary authority and financial banking institution of the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy, then decided to invest upon the newly established monetary authority of the Minoan government, the Minoan Monetary Authority. Yet another symbol upon the ever-strengthening bond of both the Minoan state and the Anago-Yohannesian empire.

The Valedonian Declaration will in no way, madam Chantress, alter and change the current foreign relation between both the Minoan state and the Anago-Yohannesian empire, for we believe that indeed, with its strong and solid de-jure stance against the practise of slavery, whether it be economically and/or socially, the Declaration of Valedonia will instead strengthen the diplomatic relationship and course of actions upon both the Minoan state and the Anago-Yohannesian empire. For finally, good madam, both of our national sovereignties would adopt the same foreign policy and external course of relations.

May this bond of trust and affection between the Minoan state and the Anago-Yohannesian empire last for a thousand years.

Sincerely Yours

Dear Matthew Cotton,

I, on behalf of His Imperial and Royal Majesty Hamengkubuwono II and First Minister Ceara Bickerton, would like to offer my warmest response towards your most gracious diplomatic support towards the application and ratification of the Valedonian Declaration. The Empire of Anagonia-Yohannes has historically held a positive political view towards Imperial Deus and its ruling government, and i believe that the Valedonian Declaration shall strengthened yet further this mutual bond of solidarity and trust, between both the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy and the Deus Empire.

Furthermore, we thank you for your staunch support upon the abolition of an abhorrance known to mankind as the socio-economic practise of slavery itself. Indeed good sir, the pursuit of freedom, justice, and liberty of our fellow mankind, was one of the underlying motive behind the establishment of the Valedonian Declaration. Let it be known that from this moment onward the Anago-Yohannesian Monarchy shall forever honoured the sanctity of human equality and freedom. Our cultural, economic, political, and if it need be, military muscle shall speak for itself, as has been observed by the international community very recently indeed.

May this mutual bond between the Deus and Anago-Yohannesian Empire lasts for an eternity.
