OOC: If you'd like you can become a protectorate/state of my country. Fair warning though: My country's got a really different government. I like it though. And if you think it's cool and it's your thing you might be down with it.
First off: You decide exactly what extent of control you want my nation to have over yours. It's your nation and that's the way it works. I have absolutely zero say over that.
Second: Let me explain my government a bit. It's basically a company. You know how your government taxes people to pay for stuff? We sell our people contracts that guarantee them we will protect them when they're in danger. We sell individual contracts and contracts to entire cities and towns (individual contracts for police 'n stuff and large contracts for cities and towns to protect them during war). My government has investors like an actual company. Its leader is the CEO essentially and its legislative body are the seven largest investors. The fact that it has investors makes my government very very stingy. Which is very fun to roleplay.
Third: How *I* would like to do things (once more, nothing I say matters, you have the final word) is that you would keep your government autonomous but we would let you have one representative on our legislative council (with the seven investors) that I would roleplay. Or I can occupy you if you want or just give you statehood/ally status. It's ultimately up to you.
