To: All United League of Nations Members
From: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Empire of New Korongo
Subject:Trade Conference

In the interest of further increasing international relations and trade, the Empire of New Korongo here by invites the members of the United League of Nations to a trade conference in Korongo City. Many matters relating to trade can be discussed but the overall goal is to create trade pacts to increase the trading relationship between United League of Nations members.

The trade conference will be held at the Imperial Museum, while this may seem like an odd location the conference rooms there are large and are equipped with the latest technology to make the whole process of the conference easier. Translators will be provided but you may bring your own if you see fit.

The trade conference will begin on Wednesday the 16th of March. Accommodation has kindly been offered by the Southern Hotel, a five star hotel with the ocean only steps away. Several hangars at Korongo City International Airport have been reserved for your aircraft to land.

Signed,
George Laking

Behind the podium was a large screen for a data projector that had was fixed to the ceiling. Laking turned on the computer connected to the data projector and a large rotating ULN symbol appeared on the screen. Now he would wait for everyone else to arrive.

Nearly four minutes later, a car with darkened bullet proof windows arrived at the front steps of a museum. The chauffeur opened the door where the Globexian representative Daniel Guy walked out with his translator as his bodyguard stayed outside as the car drove to the parking.
He then turned to the museum doors and began to walk into them. Him & his translator began to look around for the sign pointing to the right direction. Finding it, they pushed up their pace to arrive in time.
They arrived at a set of doors where the conference was.
"Is this the right room? It looks empty." said the translator, looking inside.

Sinéad Ó Tuama was a Maltropian diplomat. Her area of expertise lay in economics, and it was for this reason she now stood outside the New Korongo Imperial Museum, an unannounced visitor. Arriving unexpectedly was usually the best way to gauge her counterparts, she had found, so she walked in, unescorted, towards the conference room.

Daniel just looked up as Sinéad Ó Tuama walked in. He looked for a second then returned back to his files with his translator.
He turned his computer on an began inserting a USB key into the top jack, an encryption key which began checking the computer over, just to make sure no one was looking.
"Who's she?" asked Daniel.
"Sinéad Ó Tuama, Maltropian." he answered, informed by his 'co-workers' about probably unexpected diplomats and even those coming.
"Bit late, no?" said Daniel.
"Wasn't expected, but we were expecting at least one Maltropian to arrive after all." said the translator.

Daniel just nodded, obviously not caring as he began to return to his work.

They walked towards the entrance of the Imperial Museum.

"Do you think you can reach the end of the day without falling asleep?" Éntalrég said with a concerned voice. "Yeah, I'll make it, just some extra cups of coffee and everything will be fine." Mitalréf reassured him as they reached the entrance.

Daniel Guy watched Laking talk and his actions, while his translator examining and made notes on the now encrypted computer about each and every one of them. Since they had began to work together 12 years ago, Daniel Guy and the translator were one of the most successful diplomats in many areas including Economics in Globexanter, their tactics of scanning the possible openements usually giving them an advantage.
Upon hearing that the conference was soon to start, Guy prepared to turn on his recording device, his way of keeping up to date of what he had done. He would then turn on another on as the real conference started, in case one failed he had another in his bag; which totaled up to a maximum of 500 hours of recording for each recording device.

A black limousine, followed by two black SUV's rolled smoothly up to the front of the Imperial Museum. The limousine's driver exited the vehicle, and opened up the passenger doors. The Minister of Foreign Trade Sahkarov Veshkhan stepped out of the car, with his interpreter close behind him.

"I hope we're not too late." The interpreter muttered as the two walked up to the entrance of the museum.
"Don't worry," Veshkhan replied as they approached the doors, "With things like this, there's no such thing as late."

OOC: I'm going to RP that Donald Phillips is already in the conference room, and sorry for the short post.

IC:

Donald Phillips arrived at the Imperial Museum accompanied by his diplomatic staff members. They had arrived in a black town car, anxious to begin the conference. Although nothing ever seemed to phase Mr. Phillips, the importance of this conference brought a sense of weight resting upon his shoulders as British Kuwait's good standing with the ULN depended on him at this moment. As he entered the conference room he kept a stern face, and sat near the other new foreign diplomatic arrivals as Mr. Laking began to address the group.

Many people had already arrived and were seated so Laking would welcome them and then announce a proposal to get things started. "Welcome to New Korongo and thank you for participating in the United League of Nations Trade Conference. As said in the first message sent to your respective governments we will be discussing many matters related to trade but our primary goal is to create trade agreements between United League of Nations members to further trade and increase the relationships between members.

I will start the ball rolling, as it were, by proposing that all nations participating in this conference remove tariffs on imported and exported crops. This would allow people who have little money and not as much food to purchase crops for a lower price meaning that in the long run they would be able better access to food which is needed to survive."

Jacob Hans look at his translator and nodded.

"The Fiefdom of Sans Frontieres would gladly remove their Tariffs on our imported and exported crops.
Like what you'd said, this will help poorer nations to purchase crops for a lower price to help them in the long run so they would be able to have better access to food which is needed to survive. But," He paused. "Lets not stop here, how 'bout we remove Tariffs on minerals as well, such as Sand, Oil or even Gemstones such as Diamonds. I mean surely this would help better all our economy."
