"We have tried that but they too are buried in work. That's the kind of man he is. He arrives at the office in the early morning, leads the morning prayer, gets up, divides piles of work and takes the biggest pile for himself. And that is on a weekend when there are no cabinet meetings. During normal days he can be seen arriving at 6 'o clock in the morning, together with the members of the Cabinet and he usually leaves at 11 at night and the same goes for the other cabinet members and his aides."

"Then he seriously needs to find funds for the Administration sector, hire more secretaries, build more offices if really needed. But I tell you, give it a month and he wont handle it anymore, maybe even less!" said the Commander.

"This has been going on since he himself was a Minister of Social Affairs - when that ministry still existed.. and that's some 15 years ago now. So this man has some energy. Although he is getting older now and his eyesight is beginning to fail. The elections will be held next month... so who knows they will force him to retire and it would lead to a modernised government, maybe."

"Do you think he would easily take the forced resignation notice that simply?" asked the Commander, sighting.

"Luckily power behind him is in the hands of his party and thus in the hands of party members. They could deny him the chance to represent the party another time. And in the Cabinet they could vote him out with a vote of no confidence.. but that's the problem.. people have a tremendous amount of confidence in him."

"In other words, they would be scared of what a new leader could possibly change to their nation?"

"Yes... let's say they mainly fear the Conservatives because they have said quite clearly that they demand reforms - maybe even privatising the healthcare system and scrapping benefits - lowering income taxes for the rich. So they stick with the man they know.. Den Uyl." The diplomat said.

"Actually, I do not blame them for doing that now. Are there any other possible Labour candidates people seem to like?" asked the Commander.

"Not really.. too many young people with too many ideas and no experience. And no sense of realism either. So.. we're stuck. And.. what the Conservatives are like, I should be staying out of politics altogether but, let me give you an example. That party was created by the King a long time ago and even he is now so tired of them that even before the Revolution he seems to have send back his membership card." The diplomat answered.

"Is there utterly no other party except the Conservatives? Because surely if another party is present, the votes would turn towards this choice of party, no? Unless your Nation runs a two party system, where in that case there wont be much choice."

" No one takes the other parties very seriously. There have been a number of people in some areas that have been voting for the Nasionale Party but I am not sure whether that lot would make a lot of people happy.... They are very conservative, pro-slavery, and frankly quite anti-Globexanter and very pro- countries with a Dutch heritage. The English minority hates their guts and I can't say that the majority of the people are too happy with them.. They have ties with the Protestant factions on Robbeneiland."

"Which would also make them hated a lot right here... You two should of have seen the last attempt of a Foreign nationalist anti-Globexanter demonstration in a town, little did they know that there was the Globexian Nationalist Party only just down the road..." said the Commander, chuckling as he obviously saw no need to explain what ended up happening.

"They wouldn't get the chance to come protesting here. They would probably be ambushed on their way to the airport by whatever faction finds them first.... " The diplomat chuckles. "They are probably the most reviled group in the country."

"The worst case scenario is when they commence to lie to people, hoping that they will ignore their past actions in return for a 25% Tax Cut, they were offering that last year at one of their rallies, which was later halted for Miss-informing the Public." answered the Commander.

"I don't think that it would work in Free Tristania. They are simply too reviled by the general public. Unfortunately we do not have the censorship laws that your country seems to have. Not that I am in favour of censorship but in some cases...."

"The censorship isn't high here... You are permitted to call the Govt shitty in Public, although, much better probably not into the face of a Police Officer... However, when it is deemed needed by the Govt, it is very quickly turned on. For the good of the citizens, of course."

"We could use some of that at home...so every now and then." The diplomat said thoughtfully.

"I think that we've seen what we needed to see."The diplomat said and the commodore nodded.

"All right, I'll see if I can show you the faster way in this elevator." said the Commander, walking out of the main room of the Bunker.

As soon as the diplomat and the Commodore had also done so, he clicked a button closing the large vault like door, while turning off the interior power of the bunker as they kept on walking to the elevator.

The two men followed the Commander to the lift and got in.

"All right, hold on, will you?" he said, pointing to the metal bars going around the the elevator, positioned in angles where holding them would be at the right size for any normally sized person.

As they held on to the bars, the Commander slid open a small command panel, changing the designated Speed from Standard to Fast. He then click another button in the shape of an arrow pointing upwards. He then held on as the doors shut, and the elevator began to rise to the surface at quite a substantial speed.

The commodore nods approvingly. "Sounds like a system that we could use back home. We have only one speed: As slow as a tarred snail..."

"Well, if the Capital has already been struck or is within range of nuclear fallout, these lifts will immediately travel at a speed faster than even this. But in that scenario, the case would be so dangerous that it would probably be safer to also use the backup lift to be able to make one full trip without needing to go back up to the surface to pick more people up..." said the Commander as the lift slowed down, reaching the floor level where the doors also, quickly opened.

He then opened the sliding part of the wall again, setting the speed back to 'Automatic', which meant the main Embassy Security Control Room would modify the speed if needed.

"Well, that is that done. Anything else you wish to see? Staff rooms, like kitchens,...?" he asked.

"First the staff rooms, please. Where are they located ?" The commodore asked.
