The commodore stepped into the left and helped in the diplomat and stepped aside for the Commander. And waited tot the left to close.

The Commander clicked the bottom of two red buttons close to each over, shaped as arrows. Immediately, the lift began to head downwards at a constant and pretty fast speed. It was also equipped with six oxygen masks, in case particles of radioactivity or of any type of gas had somehow entered the lift.

"Good security, in this, you know. The bunker down here is attached to each one of the other ones present in the Embassy Compound, while at the same time being very protective in this way. If an enemy force was to get in another bunker, we could literally trap them in it by looking at some cameras." said the Commander.

[Free Tristania]

"That's a good system. We could withstand a siege here." The commodore said.

[Globexanter]

"Just remember, this is a fallout bunker. There is a Nuclear bunker in the vicinity under the Command Post, but when the strike is announced you and your people would have to move at a quick speed in order to reach it within time." he added.

[Free Tristania]

"We will have to practice the procedures. Is there a general overlapping procedure for the "Diplomatic Zone ?"

[Globexanter]

"Well, feel free to do it. But remember, in a real scenario, all doors will have to be closed behind the last person of the line. Just warn the Command Post when you want to try it out, also, the elevator here has three speeds: slow, standard and fast. Fast is to be used in any situation we would class as important, because if fallout is already present the elevator can only has six oxygen masks." he answered.

"We will test the procedures with our staff and when they are present with our relatives as well. It's better to be safe then sorry. How big are the odds that a nuclear attack will take place ?"

[Globexanter]

"Extremely low, our Nation has five I.C.B.M. Defense Silos within Carcassone or around it itself. No enemy plane, however stealthy, will even get past Globexians waters without being spotted. And then, we have Kalaska, a Colony only an hour or so North of Carcassonne. This holds a massive I.C.B.M. silo, including a large ICBM defense system. As you can see, we don't like taking chances."

"It is not unlikely that with the plans that our government has regarding nuclear weapons that soon we will need similar plans. Our government will then ask Globexanter for assistance on how to set up an early warning and nuclear defence system."

[Globexanter]

(OoC: Don't make me get into the details of a ICBM Early Warning system in the future I know how it works, but I'll probably get too confused over how to explain it.)

"Wont be too hard, our Govt got a lot of assistance from the Nations within our Region privately. There has been quite a bit of support also lately from allies for a 'strike, detect, response' style system, allowing immediate response if from an ICBM, aircraft, or ships." he answered.

"Could our nation be included be included in that system ?" the diplomat asked.

[Globexanter]

"Well, we could pass it along to your Nation via private links. As we are not sure our Region is able to pass along the information anymore, after a Nation attempted to use it against us after having been given it..." he added.

[Free Tristania]

"Understandable. Then maybe it could be done privately. Our future early warning systems will then be linked to the system in Globexanter so in case an attack would take place on this country the early warning system in Free Tristania could warn you well in advance."

[Globexanter]

"Which would possibly allow us to track down the location of where the strike came from, allowing both our Nations to return fire in respective ways..." he said, grinning.

[Free Tristania]

"It is not unlikely that we would reply in force. As an attack on Globexanter is considered an attack on us. " The commodore said. "Such at least is the established military doctrine and I am quite sure that the International Community is aware of that. Or .. they will be informed of that established military doctrine by means of trial and error."

[Globexanter]

"Indeed, we would do the exact same if Free Tristania was attacked by a foreign power. About the last part, I am myself not sure if the information shall ever be fully released to the International Community, has any meeting about this been planned between our Defense Ministers or leaders?" he asked.

[Free Tristania]

"Not that I am aware off but since we are expecting some updates we can put the idea before the Minister of Defence."

[Globexanter]

"All right, we should be at the bunker soon. I at least want to make sure the power is on..." said the Commander, pulling out a tablet computer which he attached to a USB port in the wall of the elevator.

A second after, the port had attached him to wireless detectors within the room. Through this, he was able to turn on the power and the main lights, alongside the ventilation system.

[Free Tristania]

"Perfect. It is big enough to shelter the entire staff and the families. Even some unfortunates that happened to be at the embassy could theoretically be sheltered here."The diplomat opened doors "Supplies are present, communications and facilities are present." The commodore looked around "For how long can a group be sheltered here ?"

[Globexanter]

"Well, the entire staff and a few unfornates as you call them could last up to four weeks here. But do not believe in all the sci-fi crap, after two weeks of fallout the exterior radiation levels would probably be at a low enough level to be able to leave the Embassy itself and even have a quick walk. Oh, and the entire bunker is also a Faraday Cage, you could have a direct hit with a EMP on this and it wouldn't get knocked out." he answered.

[Free Tristania]

"Good. That would probably suffice to buy us time and bring communications within the alliance back to normal which would guarantee an all-out counter-attack."

[Globexanter]

"Yes, it is supposed to work that way. Seeing a major number of E.M.P. strikes within the International Community these days, some companies have even been offering civilian faraday caged phones. It is getting to a point where people aren't scared of nuclear weapons anymore."

[Free Tristania]

"For what I have heard faraday caged phones are the latest fashion in Free Tristania. However.. I have to admit that my phone hasn't been updated just yet.." The commodore said. "And the same goes for mine.." the diplomat said. "But the services of government are already in the process of upgrading our equipment and we are on the number 1 position to receive the upgrades."

[Globexanter]

"The same thing is happening here, all the bloody power plants are having all their electronics equipment being put into Faraday cages, especially the nuclear power plants. Even some military vehicle or aircraft storage sites..." he added.

[Free Tristania]

"So give it some time and an attack on our networks is... a sound waste of time and resources. Unfortunately taking down nukes is still a bit more difficult." The commodore said while he checked the communications.
