After discussing with Free Tristania, I have restarted the thread due to the fact the previous one had massively deteriorated.
Here, I will restart from Free Tristania's last post to me:

The girl approached them and they ordered some coffee. A Globexian Marine approached them and saluted the diplomat.. in his hand he had a note.

The policeman sent a small salute to the Marine as he passed the note to the diplomat.
After he had left, the policeman turned to the diplomat.

"Business ?" he asked as the civilian with the gun sat down in front of him.

"Sweet Jesus.. I can't believe this." The diplomat was foaming at the mouth "Members of Parliament put pressure on our PM to write your PM a letter asking him to set up some joint commission into the slave trade. Worse even.. they have just voted down some proposal by a group fives that would end the alliance and it seems that they passed some anti-Slavery bill. People down south are not amused. They threaten to secede."

The naval officer turned white - he was a Southerner.

"That would not turn out to be pretty diplomatically or in any other way... How is your PM acting ?" asked the policeman as he ordered a drink for his comrade which had joined his table.

"He is trying to keep the country together. He is willing to withdraw his signature from under the Act if it would be needed to keep the country together. The south is having none of it." The diplomat looked at the vase at the table.

"That does not sound nice at all, what are you doing in our country anyway ?" asked the civilian while he lit up a cigarette.

"I was told to guide any arrests made by the fleet and make sure that the diplomatic contact between Globexanter, Cadonica (to which any arrests would be extradited according to the treaties that were signed) and our own country. The commodore here is guiding the military part and keeping connections between the Globexian navy and our own.

"I see, how is it going so far ? Any stress from the locals ?" he asked, grinning.

As he said that, another police convoy passed in the road heading towards the side of the park in vans with no indications of relying to the police, all keeping an exact distance from each over.

"Not really. It's a very friendly country so far. It's just the climate..." The diplomat said and the commodore grinned as he closed a button of his great coat.

" So far, if you keep an eye on those vans heading to the East side of the park, that will soon change." said the policeman, pointing at the vans.

"Trouble ?" The commodore sat upright for a moment and looked at the vans.

"Most of those vans are Mafia owner, just watch." said the policeman as the vans grounded to a halt in front of a foreign restaurant.

A slam was heard just after as the doors of the vans slid open, men of all uniforms and civilians began to run out wearing protective eye gear and ear protection. Some of the men were even what seemed to be civilians, running into the store quickly after what seemed to be proper policemen in the official gear.
After the door was knocked down, some shots started streaming out & into the door as the occupants shot back from the barrage of fire.

"Someone got himself into trouble..." The commodore put his hand on his pistol - unsure what to do. Back home this would have led to an intervention of the police and even he, an officer, would have been mandated to intervene in order to keep public order.

A few civilians walking by ran to cover, some pulled there by the armed civilians aiding the police force.
After a minute of silence, the policemen dragged out a slightly wounded comrade, quickly following what seemed to be a wounded foreigner and around ten more foreigners cuffed being manhandled into the waiting vans.
Quick behind them, the others were lifting a dozen crates of gear onto the side of the roads, putting them down to await transport and to take a rest.

"Seems like the hunt was good." said the civilian in front of the policeman at the coffee table.

"What were they up to ? Must have been a smuggling operation under the cover of a foreign restaurant ?" The commodore said.

"Close, our Mafia tipped off the police and by the looks of it and helped them. It was a foreign spy operation, from where, we may know. They came in a few days ago, we were watching them all the time." said the policeman.

"West Guians I suppose.." The diplomat handed him the note he had received before. "They are scared stiff of being blockaded. A bit cowardly. Being so scared of facing 10 ships. How on earth our task force is just blockade 2000 miles of shoreline is beyond me."

"We aren't that mad about it, we'll use the pistol in front of television crews, including foreign ones. Hopefully, the West Guianian one might come. " chuckled the policeman as the convoy packed the crates and started to move away.

"Yep, cowards shall be cowards. I can't wait to see the Guianian reacting to having around a dozen of their citizens executed. Anyway, what are you planning to do ?" asked the policeman.
