This takes place in, roughly, the period of the Roman Empire on the IRL historical timeline, I believe. Both longbows and composite bows have been around for some time by now.

Egyptian is just as bad when it comes to written words vs. pronunciation. A language where most of the vowels are unwritten'll do that to you

Anyway, if you want my guys to do something just TG me and we can discuss how things'll go for a better storytelling experience. Less fun in terms of strategy, but we're fighting predetermined battles, so that doesn't really matter

who actually had longbows when the Roman Empire was a going concern?

really, all your guys need to do is take the initiative. my guys have a nice little ridge line to defend there.

I'm thinking +/- a half hour off when they were supposed to get places was probably a bit much for my cav, but oh well.

basically, you gotta deal with the cavalry [which is at least split up into two parts, one of which you now know about, so you can deal with them one at a time.]

*thinks* actually, why Would you attack? all you have to do is sit there until the rest of your army shows up and I'm doomed... *ponders* but i have a good position... why would i?

humm. i need to find out about the rest of your army somehow. bit tricky when it's days away.
that or your Pharaoh needs to decide he can win with what he's got there and attack.

he can, and will, if he does, but is in for unpleasant surprises and mauling in the process. in theory.

errr, yeah, i know you said TGs, but TGs Suck when it's not necessary to keep a given bit of information secret. if nothing else, it's really awkward to check back to what the other person said... that, and this kind of thing is what this thread's for anyway
