Operation "Cut the Hand"

Mark analyzed the situation and did not have many options, he could kill some soldiers of Nod, but that would mean that his comrades would die or he could surrender and preserve the safety of the agents. Mark finally take the last option, surrender, he would not risk the lives of his agents because of his emotions, but he would not let the soldier of Nod who had been kidnapped previously could witness that scene, so Mark hit him with a lot of force in the face, leaving him unconscious, After that, he just whispered "You're lucky Sokolova is a stupid, dammed".

The Nyevzkyan agents watched as Mark went outside with his hands up, surrendering and letting himself be arrested, this action was repeated by the other agents present, except Ekaterina, who was on the floor, unable to move and she's blooding out. Mark mentally insulting Ekaterina in several languages, he was furious and frustrated that she had ruined the entire operation. The agents were taken inside the Helicopter and watched as several Nod soldiers gathered around Sokolova.

About 20 Kilometers from what happened, they were dispersed at least 8 agents, they could camouflage with society much more easily, in addition to this group were more specialized and trained agents compared to the group that was captured. Among these agents, 4 people could stand out, who had collected medium-high importance information about the businesses and treaties that were carried out in the area. the agents who had collected more information will be named in a hierarchical order; Stule Hämvio, Rickard Krancosky, Phanton Beŕon and Merlina Sokolova, the older sister of Ekaterina. This group had a report already written, which only required to be sent to Nyevzky, but there was a problem, it was not right to return to Nyevzky without his comrades, there were only 8 of the 15 agents sent, before the "Cut the Hand" operation was launched, they had been warned that there may be losses between the agents, however, the agents wanted to return to Nyevzky with an successful mission in which there is no loss. Therefore, they decided to stay and wait for news about their comrades, and especially about Hayes, who had been missing for some time.
With respect, education and perseverance, we advance.

-Open Ocean-
Several of the missiles seemed to home in on the jammer equipment, while others continued to go after what looked like a valid target, the Reich fleet soon looking worse for wear and most likely having some of their ships mission killed due to the loss of radar and other equipment... of the remaining missiles on the tanker only a final 80 of them could be fired off before fire control was finally lost, a good 40 of them targeting the various aircraft battering it. Of the freighters, the torpedo attack was detected and countered by the ship turning in the direction of the subs and firing a decoy and a single torpedo right back at them... The Nod ships clearly fighting to the death while orders to abandon ship were given to the tanker and two of the freighters, the civie one already forgotten as the final command vessel began sending back the final battle damage report, the state of the enemy fleet was to decide if Nod was going to commit their subs or not.

-Nyevzky Capture operation-
Mark's surrender was taken without words by the troops on the ground, in fact the Black Hand was being erriely silent over the whole situation... especially since their main agent was knocked out now. They'd quickly take up any weapons and round up the troops, the two medics on the Chopper quickly working to stabilize the wounded agents, Nod wanted them alive for better negoitation purposes... and as of yet their mission had done little lasting damage towards Nod operations, if anything the reckless behavior at the end had made Nod realize that if anything these guys were in over their heads. Either way when the farm was finally emptied out all of the uninjured Nyevzky agents were sent to the POW camp with Hayes while the injuried, both nod and Nyevzky were quickly brought in for treatment... until they stabilized the wounded agents Nod decided that questioning them was out.

The Black Hand forces inside the Han territory quickly made their own claims as well, with much ruined territory that was of little use to the rebel factions, the Black Hand saw a chance to eventually use the Han territory to carve out some land of their own to the north, therefore, even as Vixen made her move Nod sent their own message in her direction, since they were the ones who secured it by right of conquest any they were making their own stakes inside this territory to further support operations in mindwalker. They also were taking first dibs on all battle debris from the Han armies, since most of the tanks and vehicles were destroyed as it were the Black Hand figured that if they could salvage what they could they could possibly repurpose some of the damaged Han equipment to use against the Kaiser, perhaps even refit and then reoffer the equipment to the rebels. Either way Nod was still content to let Vixen run the civilian administration of the region at least for now, for they had bigger goals now, the lawless Han territory may be hard to fight over, but Nod always needed more secure territory for themselves, and if it could be taken they could make use of it... they also suspected, even though it felt like a guess, that this wasn't over, the fact that the land was in this state and yet the Han were able to attack so well caught their paranoia... either way Nod felt the northern front wasn't over with by a long shot.

-Battle of The Four Nations-
The battle went off without a hitch for the Black Hand, with the heavy armor forcing the Han back right into the waiting kill zone of the Black Hand it didn't take much to nearly surround and cut off the Han forces completely, and with the air support and the mutitude of Anti-tank missiles and weapons facing them, Nod just had to wait for the Han to realize they were trapped and then swoop in after the surrender to confiscate whatever military equipment left... clearly there's a theme going here, but the 5th army weren't called scavengers for nothing. In the aftermath the Nod officer in charge of the operation, Operative Commander Telos, made sure to meet with Moustiakos to plan their next move as well as offer the Greeks a respite in their new base in the Han territory... well as soon as they finish constructing it.

June 17th, 2016
The offer to Nod was quickly forwarded to the High Commander who was to quickly go to work putting out the reply, with the current situation of the war at an end, Nod decided that it was high time to consolate their gains and to further drive in their sea and air reinforcements. Food, ammunition, and other equipment was to be sent in, while technicians were quickly put to work on trying to go over the destroyed remains of the Han hardware to see what they could bring into working order in time for the next fighting season, if they could get anything out of the battered equipment, it'd be one less thing they'd have to import, and one more thing Mindwalker could use against the various enemies remaining.

Department of Empire Military Forces Headquarters, Evlandia:

Department of Military Forces Leader James Bednar found himself standing next to the Supreme Generals of the major Military Branches within one of the many planning rooms located within the command center as the men discussed the situation within MindWalker.

The Naval Forces Supreme General spoke up: “Department Leader our naval group is approaching it's station 90 miles off the coast of the Kaiser’s territory but as you already know our allies the Reorganized Reich have suffered a surprise attack from both subsurface and surface threats that we believe to most likely be Nod forces. We've also gained reports of 4th August surface naval forces making attacks of their own nearby in the region. My men believe that both of these forces pose a serious threat to our limited presence in the area, although we find one detail most disturbing: The forces posing as shipping vessels and the Victor class submarine tailing the RR fleet before the attack both knew where to find the RR’s fleet before their arrival. I believe this to be a serious threat to forces in the area, especially if a large subsurface force were to infiltrate beyond our outer ASW defenses undetected already knowing their target location.”.

Leader Bednar took a moment to think before continuing: “I see. I believe that regional naval forces are possibly compromised by aircraft under the pretense of civilian airliners or by low Earth satellites operated by the Black hand of Nod or 4th August. For every aircraft detected within our patrol radius I want them identified and cross checked by the Department of Intelligence for validity, same for any vessel near our forces. And with regards to hostile satellites I will make a call to the Emperor.”.

After roughly an hour Bednar returned to the room with news: “After confirming with the Emperor and Imperial Senate we are clear for a combined attack on Nod and 4th August surveillance and communication satellites with orbital trajectories over the MindWalker Region. I want our Aerial, Aerospace, and Naval Assets to work with the Department of Intelligence to identify and target any hostile satellites in the region. Keep me updated as the situation progresses”

Onboard the Evan Empire Aircraft Carrier Defender 300 miles off the Eastern MindWalker Coastline:
Image

One of the bridge personnel manning a LO-BEAM communication console aboard the Defender spoke up: “Sir we've received communication from Military Forces HQ, our forces have committed to neutralizing enemy satellites in the region. We have orders to arm Evan Interceptors with I-150's and move to intercept two Nod and 4th August satellites. Missile cruisers also ordered to standby for any targets that slip through.”.

Major General Eckard turned attention and spoke: “Do we have targeting data and timing as well?”. “Yes sir, we have a data link with command and t minus 60 minutes to get our aircraft on station.”. Eckard responded swiftly: “Minor General arm our Flight Group not in patrol rotation, split into two groups of 3 each armed with Twi. i-150's and the usual compliment. And make sure our patrol Flight Groups are on station ahead of them. I'll notify our Missile Cruisers to prepare a missile launch if our initial attack is unsuccessful.”

Within a few minutes the first two Evan Interceptors assigned to the mission began ascending the rear elevator onto the long flight deck of the Defender as the deck crew worked to fasten the restraining cables onto their outer engine nacelles. Within moments two blocks of deck raised to block the back blast of the ready aircraft as their 3 engines roared to full afterburn. At full output the pilots released their two restraining cables and screeched down the deck into the air as the next two fighters taxied into position. Within minutes the pair of 3 Evan Interceptors began towards their respective stations awaiting their perfectly timed ascent to release their payloads to the oncoming Nod and 4th August satellites.

Democratically elected capitalist government managed by Imperial Council of Emperor and his 12 Department Leaders. An Imperial Senate acts as oversight, ratifies Council laws, and approves Council actions. State funded corporation Evco Inc. ensures business competition and jobs. Education is provided free by the government for productivity. Laws are loose with criminal punishments carried out via community service or all the way to lifetime hard labor instead of death. Strong Military in all branches. Hosts the National Coalition of Defense and Economy (NatCoDE); defense and economic pact for members who maintain the NatCoDE Charter’s standards.

June 30th, 2016

Two weeks had led to a lot of change. The agreement was made. A piece of land had been cut out of the latest province and merged with the closest Luc' province, so that Nod could make use of the resource depots, and landing strips there. The land recovered, what used to be Tibet, was had years of ecological protections dismantled and Hans resettled into the area. A number of holy sites were vandalized and the fresh territory was in a bad state. Water had been moved from it to help other areas, dams had slowed the flow of water and changed its flow. Tibet was drying up, becoming a desert, and many of its people had been brutalized. There were whispers that further territory should be gained, so that the dams might be captured and either destroyed or put to use.

At the same time, there was much air-traffic those two weeks, along with movement and deployments. It was almost certain that another division and a half was moved into position, through which type was hard to indicate at the moment. In many areas, the harvest was that much closer to being over and this meant that soon there would be vast amounts of manpower available for use. With most oil having come south through the Stans or up from the Yeren coast and over, it remained fairly expensive, almost twice as much as it did when imported. Because of this, the lucrative and booming supply of alcohol fuel would soon be quite useful. The second supplier in Nepal was paid a handsome sum to turn over the rights of what was 100,000 liters a day. The fuel was kept in Nepal for now, while the main supply was kept in MPoV, another 80,000 liters a day.

Han Territory
June 30th, 2016

The last two weeks saw back and forth fighting along the border. Pot shots, snipers, commando raids; it all kept both sides bloodied and cautious, neither having enough resources to really advance. The forces fighting didn't appear to be Han either, but there was strong indication that a large Han force was moved or raised in these two weeks. So far it hadn't moved in, not a single division had been moved, but there was the worry that they were waiting in ambush. Radio and rumors spoke of divisions and divisions of light infantry, along with these mysterious allies attacking from their lands. The dry land was aflame from the fighting and it raged on for a week, before burning itself out with some help. Something was going on out there.

Luc'
June 30th, 2016

The land had been retaken, the offer had been made to August and Nod. Enough forces had surrendered or been called up to hold the liberated territory, but requests were made to the various allies to help shore these areas back up. Money was plentiful and available, but manpower was very much a problem. The divisions of "Jumbo" mercenaries were limited and many of them had been badly beaten, it was hoped that perhaps a division of those who spoke Spanish would be made available. Families were reunited in a policy where peasants applied to be moved to a new location, careful bargaining making sure that each side kept the same number after the swap. The investments made were still pouring in and a mixture of cheap Slavic and Yeren labor was making vast supplies of bricks; which were being made into massive warehouses, factories, depots, and palaces.

A proud statement was made. At anytime, anyone, could trade in a large can of Beef Stew or eight steel-cased 7.62x39mm rounds, for two Universal Dollars. The powers in charge had enough currency and appeared to want to shore up for the coming Fighting Season. Reloaded ammo from properly tested suppliers was valued equally to standard factory rounds. 22nd Parallel brass-cased rounds also poured into the market around the same time, not to mention a strong supply of their Ural trucks. It was rumored that investors were selling Toyota and Honda trucks made in Yeren to Parallel, along with .50 AE rounds; and then selling the Ural trucks and brass rounds to Luc'. Strong rumors of surplus shotgun stocks flowing into all three related nations, were quickly confirmed.

Kaiser
June 30th, 2016

Two divisions of Kaiser armor were in place, mostly Leopard 1A5s and dated Marders, along with other Cold-War surplus. The men had MG-3s, AK-74s, rifle-grenades, Armbrusts, RPG-7s, RPK-74s, and other weapons in place. Two divisions of fairly capable Mechanized Infantry. Their backers were asked to position one or more divisions in the center; so that they could then attack and drive the enemy out of the country.

Yeren
June 30th, 2016

Yeren had moved its forces back and was considering using them to liberate some land in Tibet. Their fairly reasonable navy watched their naval borders, and would warn anyone who got too close. This meant naval forces in the area had to stay clear of the hundreds of nautical miles around them.

-Nod Command Station Montauk-
To say that Nod wasn't a major power would be a lie but Nod's chief strength laid in it's intel gathering abilities as well as its constant ELINT activities across the known world, the tree prongs of the strength of Nod's intel division was the three Ss, Space, Sea, and Spies. The cover as New Ranoke Industries had allowed the Black Hand to become a premier power in the course of orbital capabilities thus giving them a well developed network of spy satellites and data collecting satellites located at nearly every point on the Nationstates world and beyond. The identity of these satellites as Black Hand owned were closely guarded secrets though and as the Evans Empire attempted to track the Black Hand was quick to notice, and enact countermeasures accordingly. Several went black, while spoofers and information manipulators worked over time to divert them away from their true targets towards decoys and innocent third party targets... None the less Evans still had one of them in their target list, and this was to prove to be a problem. Space Command was left with few options, they could move the satellite at the last second but that'd give away the fact that they were on to them, they could counter attack with their space assets but that would risk escalating the war to WMD range, since most nations treat Kinetic Bombardment along the same scale of chemical warfare. No their only option at this moment was to go dark and hope the Even's strike miss, even without their sattelites they still had their other weights to fall back on, with UAVs and Spy Freighters still keeping watch over the waters of Mindwalker, they weren't blinded yet.

~Nod Occupied Territory~
The Black Hand had been busy the past couple of weeks, along with flying in yet more reinforcements they had also gotten to work in doing what they could to the recovered Han hardware they had destroyed or captured, with a larger territory to base out of the Black Hand could now expand to multiple feeder supply bases as well as a reconstruction and repair facility for recovered equipment, Nod working hard to give the Kafka rebels a crash course in how to operate armor. With another division committed to the battle and rumors of more nations getting involved, Nod soon realized that Sea access needed to be opened sooner or later, that would require either cutting through the Kaiser, but with the Rebels still like they were it was unlikely they could do it alone.

-Han Territory-

There were other moves as well, the rumored threats to the north were a constant worry for the Black Hand, so during the course of the weeks several UAVs and recon elements were dispatched to monitor the Han regions for confirmation of the threats, this proved to be a risky element and several times the Black Hand was forced to retreat to avoid confrontation, where as other times a few UAVs were downed by enemy fire... it's clear something big was going on up there, and this left the Black Hand wary of committing most of their force against the Kaiser.

-Luc'-
Nod forces quickly moved in to shore up internal security duties in order to free up the rebels for other purposes, while "Policing" and "Peace keeping" weren't primarily tasks of the Black Hand they did what they could to keep things intact.

The 4th August Regime is ready! The reinforcements had arrived. The reinforcements had comprised of 3 Hydra Class Frigates (865 men), 45 Bombers (135 men), 16 fighter jets (32 men) and the rest being army personnel. This put the armed forces in the ground numbering to 10883 which gave the Supreme Commander of the Theocratic 4th August Army, Haralambos Tsoukoglou the men he needed to start his grand offensive. However he had gotten order from Ioannis Metaxas to execute a special operation: Operation Southern Graveyard.

Haralambos Tsoukoglou communicated with the Admiral of the 4th August Navy, Stavros Miholao Nikitas to complete his part of the operation. The naval operation would begin. 2 Hydra class frigates were sent to the same coastlines they had raided before to drift the Kaisers attention away from the north. However, Admiral Nikitas knew that the Kaiser might retaliate this time or predict that this was to occur and so spiced up the strategy. He would send an additional 3 Hydra class frigates to attack the southern coastal naval ports or bases the Kaiser might possess (576, 2068 and 2079). This would cripple the Kaiser's fleet for sure. On top of that the frigates had the help of 12 bombers (carrying cluster bombs) and 7 fighter jets to aid in the destruction and protection of the fleet. The Theocratic 4th August Navy would also send 3 of their type 214 Submarines to engage in a trail of destruction against ships and ports around the Kaiser's Eastern Coastline (578 and 207L). This would utterly destroy and hope of the Kaiser putting up an effective naval offensive.

As the ships were moving to their destinations, another order was given to the Commander of the Theocratic 4th August Airforce, Pavlos Moustiakos. He was given the task to conduct a radius of bombing raids against selected territories (577,578, blank territory). The targets: Army barracks, bases, air force hangars, border posts and entrenched positions filled with the Kaiser's army and air force personnel. This would halt any reinforcements from aiding Boris's troops while crippling the Kaiser's army even more. The plans ran off their runways and took flight immediately.

After these offensives were done. The Theocratic 4th August Army would march.

Department of Empire Military Forces Leader James Bednar sat within his office reading through the many reports and communiques within his department when an aide walked in: “Greetings sir, our Department of Intelligence has been analyzing launch records and space capable powers known to operate with enemy forces in the MindWalker region and relating them to our satellite tracks. Our first attacks upon multiple hostile satellites within range have been somewhat successful, their satellites are using countermeasures to our infrared and radar guided missiles but such measures are limited or expose their existence. We expect many more such satellites to be destroyed over the coming days. Additionally the satellites we have targeted have shut down, making identification less a challenge for our Department of Intelligence and Military Forces.”.

Bednar spoke up: “Sounds good, fortunately there’s only so much a satellite can do sitting above for all to see. Contact our branch Supreme Generals to step up attacks and be mindful of enemy attempts to evade our ASAT attacks.”

Agnosicstan, Halls of Governance

"...And finally, reports have been confirmed of repeated escalations in the Mindwalker Civil War, with the situation facing repeated foreign interventionism and, simply put, side choosing." Dhzenkin read the last line of her latest intelligence report a couple of times, wracking her brain. Why exactly was this one significant? She flicked through her notebook, reading through the various more recent sections. Ah, yes, that was it-The issue was brought up by the Church, asking them to intervene on behalf of the Orthodox faith. She'd ignored the issue for a while, letting the situation develop before finally deciding. As she wrote again in her notebook, she pressed a button kept nearby on the desk. "When you have a spare moment, contact Colonels Vasilievich and Androniki."

The Avtokrat didn't have to wait long for the two senior officers to arrive, sitting them down in her office. While she was waiting she had acquired herself a map of the area, thought it sorely lacked any sort of markings of the estimated holdings of the different factions. She pointed at it, tapping her finger on it softly as the two sat down. She spoke first. "Are you both aware of the situation going on here?" Vasilievich, always one to pay attention to international affairs, nodded with a slight "Of course, ma'am." The other colonel said nothing, nodding slightly. The Avtokrat spoke again. "We're going to be doing some peacekeeping, and you two shall be the ones commanding this operation. You'll recieve further details as they become apparent; For now, we need to move quickly. I assume you two know what you're doing, and don't need to be hand-held through the entire process, hm?" She inclined an eyebrow, a threat unspoken in her voice. The two nodded quickly, stood up, saluted and left.

Kaiser Territory

The Agnosicstani Diplomat was ordered to use caution when dealing with the clearly-German side of the civil war, and told to politely but firmly inform them that Agnosicstani peacekeepers will be arriving to assist in the protection of civilians, and that they will require some sort of airstrip to land at.

Kafka Territory

In a similar manner, a second diplomat was discreetly sent to the Kafka to inform them of the same thing. Secretly, they were also to inform the Kafka of the possibility that these peacekeepers may 'accidentely lose weapons and ammunition in transportation, within Kafka territory, that they need not be inclined to retrieve'.
God Save Tsarina! God Save Avrokrat! Long live Agnosicstan, land of Plenty!

Satellites
July 1st, 2016

High above south Klazia, a number of Yeren GPS and telecommunications satellites were. That was months ago. Since then a number of commercial Rusland, KNG, and Han satellites had showed up as well. In some ways, that was only the beginning as only more satellites had shown up today. People were talking, to each other, with these satellites. Communications passed back and forth, information was exchanged, and perhaps pictures were taken of the ground. A number of these satellites hadn't even been identified yet, the software and shape wasn't like anything in the region, there appeared to be two separate lines of such satellites at least. Were they the same group? Competing interests? People already involved or people who wanted to be?

Kaiser
July 1st, 2016

Kaiser didn't have a navy, it never was able to get one and it never needed one. It's trading partners had always handled security and they always handled the cargo ships that got the goods running. The areas that were bombed didn't have clear military bases, as most of them were placed close inside Kaiser territory and were strictly for training professional forces. The naval fighting did serious damage to their economy, but if the exports stopped, then the import stopped. The nation didn't have debt, and could easily lean on that like most 1st world nations did, though with more restrictions and shorter payoff timelines. The forces remained mechanized here and there, the airforce remained in a purely defensive stance, the airspace denial systems still ran like a dream. Any movement into their airspace would be hotly contested. Considering how vulnerable to ground attacks the denial systems were, the local professional forces were moved from their villages and towns to the major cities, and prepared for a counterattack if needed. This was a very popular tactic in the region, almost everyone knew about it and used it.

Any further offers of peacekeepers were rejected. State radio and limited television or internet broadcasts stated that "They wouldn't fall for the shadow imperialism, like when they allowed to so-called 'WA Peacekeepers' into their 'promised lands'."

The two divisions in the far south sat there, staring down the formation inside their country. Their allies didn't reply to them, and they hadn't deployed that many more forces. On the other hand, the forces they faced down were just 5,000 men or so, it was believed. Neither group had pulled out of the conflict, it was like they just forget they deployed forces and then proceded to ignore them. The two divisions made a demand to Rhodokan Republic, that they pull their forces out or surrender, or an attack would be made.

Luc'
July 1st, 2016

The contract for Latino and Hispanic mercenaries was being made and sorted out, they had the money, the only question left was how many they would get. The request to allow peacekeepers was agreed, but they were positioned close to either Nod forces in the south or Meek forces in the north. Where outsiders, peacekeepers, and mercs were; a thriving service and smuggling industry showed up as well. Brothels, hotels, bars, restaurants, gun smugglers, alcohol fuel that could replace diesel, brand new Toyotas, brand new Hondas, brand new Urals. People were even willing to buy brass after firing exercises and after battles, the casings all disappeared.

Trade in the area was growing, almost booming in a way. There was already three trading partners and each of them was fairly serious, the connections between them all growing every day. The push that the Meek Province of Vixen had made into 'Han', had resulted in a steady flow of fresh and counterfeit tobacco into the land, which was smuggled into Boris territory, rolled into fine scented and herbed roll-ups, and then smuggled out.

It was reported that KNG, the alliance that now was replacing the old Soviet Union, was now in a good position to move around three thousand T-55s, five thousand MT-LBs, and seven thousand BMP-1s. There was now a stable rail line moving these vehicles all the way down to Luc' with only a few unloadings and reloadings onto new trains. The gear captured from the Han only added to the numbers of armored vehicles now available to them, perhaps enough to replace all those lost or damaged in the civil-war.

The generals of the "Kaiser" began to move against the Rhodokan beachhead. As they made their move, they called for the supporters of their nation to expel the invaders.

Generalfeldmarschall von Woyrsch initially ordered the 1. SS-Panzerdivision "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler" and the 44. Reichspanzergrenadier-Division "Hoch und Deutschmeister to participate in the attack on the beachhead, under the command structure of their corps, the II. SS-Panzerkorps, whose headquarters units would participate as well. However, the corps commander, SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer und General der Waffen-SS Paul Hausser II, asked for a day to form up his forces, which unfortunately had the effect of delaying the respond to the generals of the "Kaiser".

-Black Hand Command Briefing-
"So far our space asset losses are acceptable, 2 losses and one shut down, the fifth army usually got most of our end of life systems and in the sense of Mindwalker one was expected to degrade past operational status within 3 months, we also were able to successfully spoof several signals off some of the various third parties, I'm sure once some of the local Satellite stations lose service our enemy will have a lot of angry companies to answer too."

"Of course this has also caused us to start investigating some of the unusual sources up there, there's clearly a few more rogue elements in operation, we can't be sure who they are but we suspect they may either be the benefactors or the Unspoken or perhaps some of the other major criminal or other Non-state actors like ourselves observing... if enemy operations continue we will do what we can to spoof them into attacking them."

"Our last few observations show that while the main Reich fleet is practically disarmed and crippled apparently they were still successful in their mission to protect the landing reinforcements from reaching the Kaiser, though currently their operations are still mainly focused against the Rhodokan beachhead, they may be a threat eventually but until that LZ is retaken we still have breathing space, the fact that their main fleet is damaged and out of most of their defensive armament makes likely carrier and missile strikes unlikely in the short term."

The High Commander frowned as the briefing finished, looking through the data.
"Pity we didn't at least sink their capital ships, but if they're forced to be bottled up or towed back I still consider that a win... keep the subs on standby for now, also I'm hearing rumors that there's more traffic coming from the former Soviet Bloc, try to get ahold of the scavengers to see if we could get some support from them as well."

"Understood Sir."

-Black Hand assets in Mindwalker-

The new peacekeepers freed Nod to get back to their primary goal of supporting the rebels, with the arrival of new Kaiser allies they knew at this rate they might be forced into the fray, and for that they'd need to be ready.

After bombing any form of resistance located in the Kaiser's Coastline and seeing little to no naval resistance (or any military resistance for that matter), the naval ships had docked on the Kaiser's Coastline. There repairs were made and men were stationed to guard the ships. This was their coastline now. They would make sure that the Kaiser was landlocked. Of course the Kaiser would send troops but this would only aid in the distraction. The three submarines and three of the Hydra class frigates were called back to the Kafka owned island. However the rest of the Hydra Class frigates now patrolled the entire coastline of 2232, 2230 and 576. After the repairs and refuelling had finished, the ships set off to shore again. This time they were given a new target, The Kaiser's Merchant Fleet. The Greeks understood the Kaiser had little to no battleships, the ones they did have were now sunk. This made the Kaiser's Merchant Fleet an easy target as they could not obstruct any trade made with the Kaiser. They would starve the Kaiser into submission. Sure, they would be condemned by the International Community, but it would be worth it. The Kaiser would, in a sense, act like a landlocked nation. That is unless they wanted their merchant ships to be destroyed.

The bombing raids conducted by the airforce continued. This time they focused on using incediary bombs as they had been proved as an effective tool for snuffing out any of the Kaiser's forces. Runs of propane and napalm explosives were common and more frequent than before. This could not be a problem the Kaiser could ignore any longer. And as a final straw, Field Marshal Manolis Bouzikos, launched a full scale into Boris's Eastern Territory (sans "B"). While doing this he messaged the Black Hand if they could be of any assistance. Even if the Black Hand did not help, the Greeks were assured victory. The bombing runs the planes induced created a shell around Boris's territory which made it almost impossible for reinforcements to aid Boris's current forces. That combined with blitzkrieg like strategy's and Katsuyah Missile Strikes on key military areas gave the Theocratic 4th August Army the advantage.

Reinforcements by the Greeks to the Kafka cause would arrive in 5 days time...

Checkmate.

Onboard the Evan Empire Aircraft Carrier Defender 200 miles off the Eastern Kaiser Coastline:
Image

One of the personnel operating a communication console perked up as one of the Evan Interceptors within a Flight Group on patrol chimed in: “Bridge this is Flight Group 3 Interceptor 2 currently serving as radar point. Our RWR’s are picking up at least one large radar contact approximately 200 miles out at a heading West of our location bearing no IFF codes. My active radar confirms that this is a large surface object near the coast as well, although accuracy is very low at this range. Over.”.

The operator of the console then spoke up: “Copy that Group 3 Interceptor 2 we are receiving your flight data, change radar point immediately to next interceptor in rotation.”, the communication operator then stood up: “Major General we have detection of a surface contact transmitting no IFF codes due West near the coast.”. Major General Eckard walked over immediately: “Kaiser forces have been beaten back along this coastline by 4th August vessels seeking to cut their supply chain off, I suspect we have detected them. Do we have a good datalink?”. “Yes sir, perfect LO-BEAM connection to all aircraft in the Flight Group.” The operator responded.

After a moment of thought Eckard responded: “Very well, order our aircraft to begin dropping passive sonobuoys and descend below radar horizon maintaining minimal radar emissions and checking flanks while headed back to the Defender at maximum cruising speed. Review the data from our Flight Group as well, see if we can make any confirmations.” He then turned to the vessel’s Minor General nearby: “Alert the Major General of our second Naval Group and Military Forces Command that we’ve detected a contact we believe to be 4th August vessels. Prep 3 Flight Groups to be sent into the area. Load each Flight Group without sonobuoys or ground attack munitions and instead arm for aerial combat and surface vessel attack. Also have a single within each Flight Group armed with I-150 interceptor missiles.”.

Within a short period of time the probing Flight Group on patrol began making its way back as 6 Flight Groups totaling 36 Evan Interceptors from the two Naval Groups in formation began preparing for their dash towards the unknown contact. Meanwhile the 2 other flight Groups on standby began equipping for ASW sonobuoy operations as well as maintaining a ready status for any attack. Similarly the combined 8 helicopters within the two Naval Groups began to drop active and passive sonobuoys within close radius of the fleet to further their defenses.

Kaiser Terrority
July 1st, 2016
Noon

Rhodokan Republic forces were less than a division and stared down another four whole divisions at least. The Kaiser units that were ready to move in, did so, and rounded up the captives as much as possible. There was space to hold and watch over these captives, to feed them roughly as well as the peasants ate. The new Kaiser saw these POWs as a way to negotiate in the future. If the Rhodokan Republic or another nation didn't barter for them later, then it's just another 5,000 people to work the fields or something like that. The weapons and gear would be detained, the rations would be gathered up and portioned back out to the POWs.

When forces from The 4th August Regime of Greece landed at 2232, 2230 and 576; no one stopped them. No one stopped them when they repaired, no one stopped them when they left. The fishing villages and ports shrugged off the damages, or those who weren't dead or having killed themselves, those survivors, shrugged off the damages. The bombing runs set fire to large fields of wheat, carrots, and hay that were still being gathered up; along with a few imperial forests.

The invasion of what Boris considered his, got his attention, and the attention of the new Kaiser. The "Guard" and "Heavy Armor" divisions were moving into position to meet up with the local professional division of Boris. Hundreds of Leopard 2A7s would pose a serious problem, even more so with fairly reasonable Leopard 1A5, Puma, and Marder support. They also had mobile artillery of their own, which out-ranged the August forces, but didn't saturate an area quite as much. Perhaps if Alec', MPoV, or Nod forces supported the August invasion force; perhaps they would match the enemy in raw power, and thus the winner would be the one most capable of thinking quickly.
The fastest way to make absolutely sure that a point is bad, is to pretend to argue for it to people that are against it.

-Nod Command Station Montauk-
The provocative actions of Greece hadn't been supported by Nod, while their coastal raids did serve a purpose in terrorizing and weakening the economic power of the Kaiser for the most part Nod saw the actions to be mere distractions that likely would do little to shake the hold or threaten the Kaiser, the offensive the lands formerly held by Boris would certainly prove to attract his attention. This was fine for Nod, for while the territory was important, it's position left it vulnerable to counterattack. August's request for support was approved and Nod promised to commit at least one division in support of the offensive, Nod just left out the qualifying point of where and when they would support the offensive. Nod attempted to share what Intel they had with the Greek forces, alerting them of the possibility of the Kaiser committing heavier forces but when their efforts proved for naught, the Black Hand decided that if the forces of August sought to make themselves a target, then the Black Hand would have to use this to their advantage, if much of the Kaiser's heavy forces could be entrapped and destroyed, this would make rebel offensives easier.

The plan was two pronged, the first objective would be to deploy raider units into the battlezone slightly ahead of the August force, these units were to avoid combat completely and secure positions along the major routes into Boris's territory, once there they were to passively observe the Kaiser advance and make note of what resources were deployed, if they could they were to also sabotage the chokepoints out of the the region once the main front had passed, bridges, mountain passes, etc, once the Kaiser had deployed most of his armor Nod would work to trap them inside Boris's territory, once trapped they could then be engaged and destroyed at Nod's whim... even if this meant that for the short term August would be facing a pounding.

-Mindwalker-

-Boris Territory-
July 1st 3:30 AM
The first of the Nod raider units made their advanced deployments into the area of operations of August's forces under the cover of darkness, their orders were simple, ignore all possible targets and take position among the designated choke-points into Boris territory, once in these locations they were to conceal themselves and await the arrival of the Kaiser heavy units, at which point they were to do what they could to cut off their path of retreat, rock slides, bridge collapses, IEDs designed to destroy roadways, anything they could do to make access in and out of the area difficult. The information that they'd be possibly dealing with Leopard 2s and other heavy weapons made the troops wary, with their completely unarmored buggies and bikes they were sitting ducks for anyone with even a light MG, their main advantage was that they could take routes that normal vehicles couldn't and that, due to Nod having already done aerial observation of the area, they could figure out the routes that the enemy wouldn't take their heavy equipment along, dirt roads, animal paths, foot trails, these were how they infiltrated the region and it was to these areas they stuck too.

July 1st Noon

As the main battle opened up Nod's own main force moved to support, while they lacked the heavy armor to directly engage alongside the Greeks, Nod fire support from their own mobile artillery was brought to bear to provide support for the offensive, in an even more bold mood for the Black Hand, fast moving air support was finally provided as well, the 6 SU-25s of the deployed Black Hand force committed to engaging the heavy armor of the Kaiser when they could, they had to keep the pressure off August because if this attack failed it's highly likely that the Kaiser could launch a counter offensive into the Rebel territory. The main objective though was to force the Kaiser to keep his focus completely on the Greek offensive to the point that he would be forced to draw his division in the western part of Boris's territory into the fighting.

-Western Border of Boris's Territory-
-4:30 PM-
As the Kaiser focused on the eastern attack of August's forces, Nod had decided to build up their own force along the western border, with Greece's bold attack forcing the Kaiser to throw more and more units into the Kasier held pocket, Nod continued to position their second division along the border to arguably hold the line for the rebels, originally this was to help serve as a defensive buffer for the rebels but with the Kaiser deploying so much fire power Nod knew they would have to do something. Messages were quickly dispatched to Alec' and MPoV, this was their chance to wipe out a large portion of the Kaiser's forces while it was outside the protection of it's larger air defense network and the easy resupply from being located within Kaiser territory, what more, if the attack was successful the rebel lines will once more be returned to status quo and the Kaiser will hopefully be down three divisions, especially if the Nod saboteurs could succeed in disrupting their path of retreat.

OB Ausland Headquarters
"Kaiser" Territory Capital, "Kaiser" Territory
MindWalker

"Gentlemen, the Greeks and more recently, Luc' the Black Hand, have attacked the forces of the Kaiser in a territory controlled by a warlord named Boris from the west and the east respectively. The Greeks attacked first and the elite forces of the "Kaiser" are preoccupied with the Greeks when the denizens of the underworld began shelling and bombing them. What this situation means should obvious to everyone here, judging by the ranks on your shoulders and the medals on your chests."
"We should send the other divisions of the II. SS-Panzerkorps to the north. The offensive operation against the Rhodokians is a massive success, with the enemy putting up less resistance than Poland or France. As we speak, they might be done rounding In fact, I can rush the rest of the 6. SS-Panzerarmee to the north and begin an offensive against both the asocials and the Greeks.
"The territory ruled by Boris is part of the area of responsibility of Heeresgruppe A. With the Greeks ravaging the coast it's best that the SS-PzAOK 6, as well as any other unit of Heeresgruppen Mitte stay within their AOR unless in case of an emergency. I will deploy the III. Panzerkorps against the assorted rabble and riff-raff that have crawled out of the gutter."
"Very well. Luftflotte 14 will provide air support for the counterattack against the Black Hand, as well as for any penetration of Luc' territory under the auspices of this operation. They will also provide air support and fighter cover for "Kaiser" forces on that front (Territory "B")."
"Before I adjourn the meeting, I would like to remind everyone here that pride, or more precisely, overconfidence is a sin. While any sane man would have a low opinion of the deportment of our enemies, we should not believe that their capabilities on the field are as low as their moral character. Luc' and the Black Hand especially are forces that must be taken seriously - we wouldn't need to be here if they weren't. Everyone, whether they are flag officers and staff officers such as yourselves, unit commanders or enlisted needs to understand this. Did I make myself clear?"
"Jawohl, Mein Herr!"

After the meeting ended, the commander of Heeresgruppen A, Generalfeldmarschall Erwin von Kleist, flew back to his headquarters immediately, and gave out his orders.

"BORIS TERRITORY" COUNTEROFFENSIVE OPERATION "UNTERNEHMEN SONNENWENDE"

Overview

Just recently, Luc' the Black Hand launched a bombardment and aerial attack from the west against the forces of the "Kaiser", in support of a possible attack on their positions. The forces of the "Kaiser" are currently preoccupied with the recent Greek offensive from the east and probably could not respond in time to any new developments. To protect the "Kaiser" forces in this area from fighting in two fronts, Heeresgruppen A will deploy forces to stop this offensive and drive the enemy force back into Luc' territory.

Operational Plan

The III. Panzerkorps will enter "Territory B", with one division attacking in the possible direction of the main enemy thrust, while the other units of III. Panzerkorps shall conduct a pincer attack to surround and destroy the enemy forces massed at the border and within the territory.

The XXXXVI. Panzerkorps will be stationed at the intranational border of "Territory B" with the rest of "Kaiser" as a blocking force, and in case reinforcements are needed. Air support and fighter cover will be provided by Luftflotte 14.

While the ground troops were preparing to move out and go to "Territory B", "Wild Weasel" squadrons attacked whatever enemy air defenses there were, followed by bombers and strike aircraft, which attacked enemy infrastructures supporting the offensive, such as depots, headquarters and airfields, as well as any sizeable enemy troop concentration. Strike and CAS aircraft attacked forward enemy forces as well, attacking their vehicles and heavy equipment. All this was done under fighter cover.

Ballistic missile launchers attached to the army group, as well as the armies and corps of the army group, fired at the enemy forces as well, striking infrastructure and large troop concentrations of enemy forward and rear-echelon elements, to soften up the enemy even further.

-Black Hand Mindwalker command-
-July 2nd, 2 AM-
The offensive on Boris's territory had begun and while Nod was expecting some early successes due to the success of hitting the Kaiser at the flanks, new information was proving to turn this battle to go from the beginning of a minor skirmish to a potential Kursk situation, a meatgrinder of a battle that could determine the fate of the entire front line for the rest of the season. The news of the Reich forces making short work of the opposing landing party and the swift reaction to the invasion made it clear that this offensive would be expecting company soon enough. While the eastern half of Boris's territory was by now likely successfully isolated by Nod infiltration teams there was still plenty of direct access to the west, and while this put enemy reinforcements within range of Nod artillery it also was true in the reverse... Furthermore while it was understood that the Kasier equipment was limited to what they could afford it was amply evident that the Reich had a much more well rounded force to deploy along with their air force. Air forces was something that up until now both sides had avoided, it was clear that both sides had ample level of air defense networks, and that threat alone had managed to keep the battles to the ground, but over this contested territory it was literally anyone's game, and intel made it clear that the Reich was going to use their airforce to attempt to turn the tide to their favor... if Nod would let them.

-Briefing-
The briefing room was spartan and simple but for the various agents, commanders, and factions in the room, it served it's purpose, it was quite a mixed group that was here, while the vast majority of the ground fighters have come from the 5th army, newer arrivals including Air units from the third and forth armies, as well as a token force of elite cadre from the 2nd proved that this was going to a multi-force undertaking, which considering that part of the reason for the split into the "5th armies" was political disagreement, also made the room a potential powder keg, and for Velibor he knew the hardest part of this meeting wouldn't be in setting up the plan, it'd be in keeping a brawl from breaking out in the middle of it, pilots, ground commanders, tankers, political officers, and, uniquely for the Black Hand, Millitant Confessors, all in one room tended to be a violate situation, but Velibor was confident he could turn these various compounds into a mixture that would set Mindwalker aflame, hopefully taking the Reich's army down with it.

"Attention please, quiet down there's a lot to plan out and we don't have a lot of time, we're already reporting attempted missile strikes on theorized strong points, thankfully tactical isolation procedures kept our losses to a minimum but I fear it's only the beginning."
He glanced around the room and took a deep breath before continuing.
"Our offensive against the Kaiser's forces in Boris have succeeded in catching his men off guard, with our full division flanking him with heavy armor it's highly likely we may be able to force a rout if the other rebel factions can capitalize on it. However we have a new and troubling problem that may have turned this situation into the most decisive part of this war." He pointed at the screen showing Mindwalker along with troop advancement. "It's believed that with the Kaiser knowing that reinforcements are inbound that they will not order their forces out in order to free up space for the Reich's reinforcements, with the eastern routes blocked or at least suppressed that leaves only these 4 roads into the area that are truly safe from our own retaliatory fire, so we can expect them to use them simply to avoid from having to be hit by artillery fire from inside the rebel's position."

"The closer threat we have to worry about is air assets, we're not sure exactly what they'll be throwing at us but we can be sure it'll be modern and it'll be effective, we won't be fighting off 3rd world knock outs this time, thankfully with the addition of air assets from the 2nd and 4th armies," He nodded in the position of the pilots from the visiting squadrons, "I'm certain we can be victorious if this turns into a numbers game, they'll be over our air defense network as well, and while they may attempt SEAD we have the advantage of mobility and stealth over them, we'll see them coming, and their late arrival means assets we have hidden will be unknown to them until it's too late."

"Now here's the plan, we're going to hit them in waves, draw them over our air defenses, disrupt their formations, and if it gets too much, pull back, no one wins a war by dying for the cause, you win by making the other guy die instead... now here's how we're going to do it..."

-Montauk Nod High Command-
"Sir we're receiving reports that the Reich has used SRBMs on our forces, our commanders are requesting a counter strike using our naval assets."
The man stared at her a moment before nodding, "Approved, since the subs are withdrawing to meet up with the naval force I'm sure they can at least do that as their parting shot... cluster missiles are approved, tell him to fire where he designates."

-Air over Central Mindwalker-
~July 2nd 6:00 AM~
When the planes went up for a second day they had escorts this time, while the SU-25s went to work, their escort flight of 8 MIG-29Ms were flying overwatch, with the support from an AWACs based along the northern Mindwalker border combined with the surface radars located within Alec and Vixen territory, no one was going to get the drop on them.... which is when the first intruders were detected, the mission was quickly changed, the ground fighters were quickly ordered to finish their mission and RTB, while the Migs of the 215th quickly prepared to engage.

-Nod Airbase Jacob-

While even further back interceptors and the rest of the Nod Air aramada was scrambled... battle was to be joined today and much blood would be spilled, the only question is who's blood.

-Open Ocean 500 miles South of Mindwalker-
-Yankee II "Zephaniah"-
The incoming EAM was interesting, while for the most part the "Zephaniah's" job was to act as a 'just in case' fire support vessel, the actual thought of using conventional SLBMs was really a measure that most of the time they never expected would be needed, sure with the specialized MIRV warhead, they could literally wipe out concentrated positions but versus a nuke, it was really overkill... none the less they knew when the order came... they'd follow it.
"We're to stand by for launch orders before retreating to meet up with the approaching main fleet."
"Understood, await targeting instructions, they're likely going to focus on staging bases and Kaiser airfields at this rate."

90 miles off the Eastern Kaiser Coastline:
Image

Shortly after detection of the 4th August vessels blockading the coastline of the Kaiser territory the 2 Aircraft Carriers, 60 High Performance Evan Interceptor fighter aircraft, 4 Missile Cruisers, 4 armed Support Vessels, and 2 Submarines traveling in formation grouped tightly and began their assault. Along with these forces at the request of Major General Eckard in command of one of the Naval Groups the EE Naval Forces Supreme general contacted the RR to send any available warships along with the EE fleet up the coastline to help rout and and destroy the 4th August naval vessels attempting to blockade the coastline.

The strategies employed by the EE navy were simple: the fleet would standoff beyond surface vessel missile range and deploy Flight Groups of Evan Interceptors in waves of two with backup Flight Groups available in case opposition required a larger response. The flight groups would then proceed to detect the small group of enemy vessels present due to their blockade spread and kite the edge of surface SAM range attempting to attract SAMS and defeat them by turning back. These sorties would also attempt to lure any aircraft sent to intercept them away into a fight with more flight groups scrambled for support or with friendly surface SAM support. After a long period of time the wild weasel type tactics combined with fighter combat would slowly destroy enemy fighter aircraft and help deplete enemy SAM stores.

Once enemy flight sorties would be neutralized or slowed considerably enemy forces would lose ability to reliably detect EE aircraft and certainly the EE fleet below the radar horizon allowing for tactics to shift. Larger waves of aircraft armed with anti-surface unit and AA missiles would then move into position underneath the radar horizon before popping up at 150-180 miles out and acquiring targeting data and launching their payloads. In these operations the fleet would have moved forward at flank speed to attempt entering missile firing range using aircraft as sentries to acquire targeting data and fire their own large ship based missile salvos at the enemy forces.

This final stage of engagement would hopefully be the hammerblow destroying the local hostile naval force as the fleet would then continue down the coast to the next target. Within the entire campaign vessel towed ROV’s, free Flight Groups and ASW helicopters dropping sonobuoys, and the 2 fleet submarines also operating towed ROV’s would function as the line of defense for detection and destruction of underwater threats.

The Theocratic 4th August Navy was having none of this. The 3 frigates that were closer to Kafka waters and territory were instructed to immediately retreat to the area in order to escape the trap the Evan Empire had caught them in. The 2 frigates located to the Kaiser's eastern waters were to remain there in hopes of fulfilling their duty. They were to distract the Evan Empire, Create considerable amounts of damage in the event of a run and gun retreat and they were to get to Kafka waters "unscathed" while the remainder of the air force acted like a shield to protect the ships. So far there only protection was 7 fighter jets and 12 bombers but a further 31 fighter jets were on the way to aid the 2 frigates in the Eastern waters.

The 3 frigates attempting to escape were to fire off flares and warning shots to those who may have strayed that far and to eliminate any Evan aircraft if they were persistent. The 2 frigates were to stall as to catch the attention of the Evan Empire while waiting for the reinforcements to arrive. The 7 fighter jets and 12 bomber jets were to harass Evan forces as to draw their attention. The Theocratic 4th August Navy would also send in 3 submarines in the outskirts of the waters with Evan forces to survey the events that were to occur. If any fire was exchanged which resulted in the damage of a 4th August frigate, the flanking, undetected submarines would unleash their torpedoes.

The Theocratic 4th August Army however were on higher grounds however as they were making progress. The Greeks in this battalion did not have nice feelings to the Großdeutsches Reich as many German Reichs came and went in terms of conflicts with Greeks as it left nothing but atrocities and civilian casualties among the 4th August Regime. The Nazi Germans were especially not favoured as they had left a scar of the 4th August Regime. Upon hearing of another Großdeutsches Reich mobilisation to the north, the Katsuyah Missile strikes were turned there.

The Theocratic 4th August Army were making progress as they were chipping away at Boris's scorched territory. The majority of the divisions did not care for POW's which resulted in the majority of Boris's men being shot and killed. Boris's men were seen as Orthodox traitors among the Greeks and so were immediately despised. In one instance a squadron of Boris's soldiers were locked in a bunker, under the assumption the Greeks would attempt to storm it and face a lot of casualties. Instead the Theocratic 4th August Army present there simply lit the bunker alight with flamethrowers and shot any who tried to flee or surrender.

The Theocratic 4th August Marine Corps was also present for a short time as they embarked on a campaign to destroy any military buildings/structures still standing at the border between Kafka and Kaiser territory. Under the command of the Squadron Field Leader, Stefanos Kasanopoulos they were quite efficient in destroying the little resistance that was the soldiers that were trapped at the border.

Further reinforcements had arrives as 45 additional fighter jets (carrying 135 men), 322 Leopard 2 Tanks (1228 men. 4 each tank) and 1 more frigate (173 men) and 1 more submarine (27 men). The rest of the men (3437) were sent with the tanks and half of the aircraft to engage in conquering Boris's land. The other half of the fighter jets were sent to aid the frigates and the naval vessels were in port with the other 3 frigates and 2 submarines.

The 4th August Regime would prevail!

Thessaloniki
Greece

Despite a delay due to his plane suffering a bird strike and having to transfer to another one, Foreign Minister von Krogsik managed to arrive in Greece. He and an aide then proceeded to the driveway outside the airport, where a rather irritated looking chauffeur was waiting for him, most likely annoyed by the length of the wait. He apologized for the delay, citing the birdstrike and the process of transferring planes for his delay, and entered the vehicle with his aide.

On the way, his phone beeped. It was the commander of Heeresgruppen A, Generalfeldmarschall Erwin von Kleist, saying that the Greeks attacked his troops. He promptly replied that despite the negotiations, they were fighting a war, and they could just fire back. He assured him he would send OB Ausland and the army group commands any news as soon as he can, so they can figure out their rules of engagement vis-a-vis the Greeks. Another call, coming from an imperial aide, asked him to continue negotiations despite any news from the front, and to negotiate terms of engagement, or to obtain an agreement to ignore the fact that fighting while negotiations were ongoing, as the negotiations would probably drag out for some time.

Finally, they have arrived at the Greek parliament.

Territory B
MindWalker

Thanks to tactical isolation procedures, clever fortifications engineering and C-RAM systems, the Greek bombardment proved to be little more than a nuisance. Some structures were damaged, some stockpiled supplies were destroyed and some logistics vehicles were knocked out.

Counterbattery radars picked up the direction of the artillery and some batteries saturated that area with rockets and shells as soon as the radars picked up the enemy artillery, to ensure that even if the batteries move, they will be hit by counterbattery fire. The advancing forces from the east were not ignored. Shells and rockets were sent their way by divisional batteries, with mobile artillery moving from one position to the other as soon as fired their projectiles.

In the air, the battle has just begun. The first waves, consisting of SEAD aircraft and their escorts, were en route to position when a group detected some contacts that their IFF did not display as friendlies coming from Luc' territory. I./JG.52 and I./JG.54 moved to engage the enemy contacts, attacking them with Meteor missiles from beyond visual range, while the other forces continued to their destinations.

At the same time, drones were sent out to the probable enemy incursion, to scout out the ever-changing locations of troop concentrations, as well as see if anything hit previously by missiles was worth attacking again. They carried Stingers for self defense.

OB Ausland received request for assistance from the Evan Empire, who are currently engaging the Greeks. After some time, a report from the northern front, saying the Greeks have attacked the counterattacking force, was sent to headquarters recently. Without further ado, an order for a naval operation was released, and an ad hoc task force assembled out of the remaining full strength task forces.

-Sea South of Mindwalker-
The silent sea told no tales of the horrors lurking under them, of the weapons of war that had gathered in the area to await the support of their comrades, but as the fire order came through the hatches popped open and four objects rose to the surface before firing off, the for SLBMs flying off in an arc to the north towards Mindwalker. At this distance there was little the enemy could do to stop the launch and so the Reich soon had to contend with 6 of Nod's patented Cluster missiles aiming at the strongest groupings of Reich artillery and support facilities.

-Even further south-
The arrival of the main Black Hand fleet had taken quite a bit of time to work out, the greatest issue was getting the fleet all in one place without attracting attention, but disinformation was an easy job for the Black Hand, and it was easy to pass off one of the fleets as a sale and the second as a scrapping escort... the third, made up of Nod's disguised force, didn't need any more work other than a false destination, either way the ruse was only meant to last until the three groups had met up, which they did around 650 miles South of Mindwalker.

The battlefleet was large and clearly organized around what looked like a modified Kuznetsov-class carrier that had been flanked by pair of Kresta II class cruiser and a pair of Sovremennyy-class destroyers, 4 Krivak-class frigates, and long with what had looked on the surface to be two support ships that looked to be converted freighters, but as Reich had learned the hard way, if a Freighter was run by Nod it's highly possible that they could actually be packing more firepower than the rest of the ships combined.

The second fleet was a little more shady, and downright archaic, an actual Midway class carrier joined by what looked like several amphibious ships, supported by another four Krivak Class Frigates, along with what looked like a tanker, another pair of freighters, and an intelligence ship.

The last group were downright unremarkable but were possibly the most dangerous in the arsenal, a super tanker, flanked by a pair of Tanker ships, a freighter, and a supporting container ship escorted by what looked like a pair of Kashin class destroyers and another two frigates.

The addition punch of submarines couldn't be seen, but it wouldn't be nod without a sub fleet backing them. The combined fleet was already launching aircraft as well, the main carrier launching it's usual fighter patrol of MIG-29Ks while the older Carrier was clearly prepping to launch a flight of Phantoms of it's own.

ORBAT:
1 modified Kuznetsov-class carrier
1 Midway Class Carrier
2 Kresta II Class Cruisers
1 Nod Supertanker Carrier
3 Nod Assault Tankers
1 Alligator-class landing ship
2 Polnocny-class landing ships
2 Sovremennyy Class Destroyers
2 Kashin class Destroyers
5 "Nod Freighters" possibly support ships or Q-ships
2 Nod Container support ships
10 Frigates

? Submarines
1+ SSBN

-Air over central Mindwalker-
The mainline aircraft had retreated upon detection of the incoming aircraft, the firing was able to expose the planes enough for the radars to pick up on it, the Nod AWACS quickly ordering the fighters to break off and evade, in the mean time one of Nod's own Fighter squadrons were dispatched, having been ordered to refuel and move south to take care of the stealth fighters threatening their operation... thankfully in this case Mantis Squadron, being equipped with the same planes, were evenly matched to engage.... though they were willing to close the distance slightly before using their AIM-120s.

The main group of SEAD and bombers were also soon to face another threat, for the Interceptors were already vectored in, the 31s making careful sure to target the bombers the moment they could before launching their own missiles from long range. The Nod SAMs kept to cover for this part, as long as the air battle waged overhead they weren't going to give away their true game plan... though even the SEAD aircraft could pick up a few long range targeting radars coming from well behind rebel lines.

-Boris's Territory-
The Nod offensive against the flanks of Boris's men had been done like clockwork despite the attempts at air and artillery strikes, for Nod, the news that August was summarily executing Boris troops provided an extra incentive, it's highly likely that the dread brought on by the cold tactic could be driving some of the less competent mercenaries into fear, of course it made it also more than likely that they would fight to the death, because that's all that they'd face anyway. For this though Nod had a counteroffer, the Boris forces getting multiple radio messages from Nod offering them Mercy and protection if they retreated or surrendered.

The well-known war-mistress, "Saint Countess Vixen" was alerted to the nature of the offensive. A good fifteen minutes were devoted to explaining why it might be necessary to go in and assist those who had previously set fire to her crops, possibly killed some of the livestock of her people. There were still places on fire, hamlets and villages that weren't replaced yet. Seven dollars could feed a person for a day, three dollars would give them all they needed to drink. A soldier used up 60 dollars of ammunition in a typical firefight. The damages done were expensive and every single dollar, every single cent mattered. Starting the fighting season early would be many times more expensive. This was in the middle of a drought, a famine that had gone on for years. The land was highly flamable in certain areas, and food had to be brought in by the planeload to keep certain areas stable.

There were rumors about Vixen. There were things almost anyone and everyone knew. Anyone who knew anything, knew she carried two Kimber Warriors, suppressed. They knew she wasn't from the region. They knew she rose to power as a war-lord, as a war-mistress, by killing the most dangerous person in her current capital city. She stared down "D'yavol", a man so dangerous his masked face alone drove large bands of local mercs and cutthroats to wage urban warfare against the war-lord, against his elite paramilitary contractors, his house guards. She worked with D'yavol before the situation, she killed D'yavol. It was said she shot him in the head three times with a SCAR-H. It was said that her two pistols she carried around with her, belonged to him. Many knew that she had her own personal armored humvee, that she walked around wearing Dauntless armor, that she would change in her vehicle back to something that didn't bend her spine.

No one could explain why she was a saint. No one could explain why she disappeared for weeks and weeks, then appeared again in charge of a faction that reportedly conquered her own territory. She had money made from industries she figured out or someone told her about, reloading ammo, cellulose ethanol. She had resources that sometimes exceeded the industries she encouraged. Her mercenary legions? Easy, imported already trained and bloodied. She handpicked the gear chosen for them, she had her own doctrine, or something like a doctrine. No one could explain the Meek Inheritors. No one could explain their tanks, their armor, their weapons. She had strong connections to Yeren, she somehow met someone there or people there, and the trade relationship came from there. There were rumors she got into a ritual fistfight with two foreigners in just her pants and a sports bra, the next day she was declared a saint.

She was having dinner over at Padma, the warmistress just next to her, the center territory of MPoV. They talked about something, likely keeping the roads paved, the ammo flowing, the newly imported coffee brewed. She used to sell Yaba, used to funnel it to somewhere. Now, now she just imported lots of ground coffee. The report came in, the explanation back and forth was had, and she got up.

When a saint declares that worship will be had, the churches open and the people sit down. Not everyone, but people do, people sit down. She stood behind the pulpit after the beginning of the process and she gave a speech for the camera, for those present. She took an hour or two before the sermon to think of something, she spoke to some pastors, some officers, she did some reading.

The nature of her sermon, was that those who knew the law and knew God, had it written on their hearts and minds. There was those who had it written and didn't know it, who followed the law and yet never read it. There was those who read the law and didn't practice it. Before anyone had time to realize what she was saying, she was already setting up a charismatic and grounded foundation of logical around her statements. She had quoted the Bible, she named the verses, and then she was building something on that foundation. She gave a very logical explanation for what needed to be done. It was clear why her allies were her allies, why she was who she was, why her enemies were her enemies. Belief was sometimes, if not frequently, beside practice. She called for action, she called for what was right to be done, and for what was wrong, to be stopped. She called for others to reach out to whoever was capable of action, of assistance. She called out for those who talked the talk, to walk the walk. She called out for those who said they were good, to prove they were good. She called out those who butchered and called it right, to deal with the consequences of their actions.

Then she said that God would sort out who is right, who would be the victor. She said that God could kill her on the spot if she was in the wrong, but if she wasn't, that she would prove she was right by his favor.

In less than an hour, she had two whole armor divisions moved south to flank Kaiser. They were moved carefully and while alert, and many of them, if not all of them, were very highly motivated.

The second son, Padma's father, he moved in two divisions of his best-motorized infantry to assist Nod. Arthur Rurick, the only other surviving count, the only count who wasn't related to Luc' Kafka, moved in his only remaining armor division to assist August. T-62Ms, BMP-1Ps, and the like.

Kaiser
July 1st, 2016
7PM

May was the last fighting season, it was July. The next fighting season was meant to happen in October or November even, it was still fucking July. Two fighting seasons that weren't supposed to happen, because one faction on one side made a move, and everyone started piling their forces in.

The Kaiser two best divisions were facing down between 1-3 divisions from the Greeks and Kafka. Heavy armor and commandos provided a good combination, they might be able to hold their own or even crush the enemy in two or three or even a million pieces. The roads were in ruins. Woodland and villages, and hamlets; were all on fire. The land was dry, it was July, there was a drought, and things were burning. It was 7PM and yet people could easily see this way or that way, but the light was so much, they were blind if they stared into the darkness. Boris had two divisions guarding the capital city of that province, the rest was just rural areas. Go forward and the enemy was might be surprised, hold back and the enemy had to face four divisions. It was dark, the enemy had been on alert for hours, they had been on alert for hours. If either side were to fight, they would be tired but in a state of alert paranoia. If you slept, maybe the other side wouldn't sleep. If you attacked while they were sleeping, maybe they would wake up alert and you would die tired.

The two best divisions pulled back and took cover behind the capital of the region, of "Sans B". They were told to sleep as much as they could, but be able to wake up and fight in five minutes. They had packages of rations and water close by, they slept with earplugs and downers. When it was time to fight, someone would wake them and give them uppers. A whole regiment of militia was tasked with making this happen, and they were doing it, it would be done.

Boris's capital province didn't have to worry as much, and thus he slept that night like the two best divisions slept. Two divisions were in place around his city, prepared to act should anything happen. In the surprise attack losses had happened, men died on the border. Losses was just the cost of doing buisness, Boris knew this. Boris was prepared to do business, and life was still very cheap.

Outside of MindWalker

The situation unfolding in MindWalker had not gone unnoticed by the United Brotherhood. While at first it seemed like nothing more than a "typical" civil war, if such a thing can ever be referred to as typical, the fact that it attracted so much international attention convinced them that there was more going on in this region that deserved their observation than they had first thought. For some reason this comparatively small nation had managed to garner military aid from several big players, their counterparts and "brothers" in Nod amongst them. It was, perhaps, the latter that drew their eyes most keenly to the area. Slipping operatives into Kafka's borders to observe the last few fighting seasons was textbook.

It didn't prove to be very hard for Slavik's agents to get a hold of the Brotherhood; the difficulty came in securing a commitment to assist. It wasn't until the liaisons tipped their hand and revealed just how heavily Nod was invested that their stance shifted and negotiations could open in earnest. By the time those men were able to call home they did such with the news of a mission accomplished; the Scavengers would march to the aid of their brothers, as was Kane's will. But a request was made alongside of that: The Black Hand were requested to speak on their behalf prior to the two opening communications so that diplomacy between Kafka and the United Brotherhood would flow more smoothly. They were coming as friends of friends and not as vultures. Or, that was the impression they wanted to give.

MindWalker
Kafka Territory

After Nod had spoken for them the Scavenger's spies would proceed to make contact with the reigning patriarch of the Kafka family. They came offering aid in the form of guns, munitions, and direct military intervention in return for access to the mountainous region's mineral wealth, trade deals, and drugs, both manufactured and grown. While the latter had seen better days after such prolonged fighting there was the understanding that they would help rebuild that in return for being able to reap first dibs of the produce, same as the mining. Indeed, it was this last point that the Brotherhood hoped to use to hook the interest of the patriarch most keenly. They did not just offer to bring in men and supplies, they vowed to bring in specialists that could help to bolster the industrial and military might of northern MindWalker now. That is to say, advisers to aid in recruiting and training new militias after this lengthy fighting season had ended, alongside of gunsmiths that excelled in producing guns and ammunition in cottage industry conditions akin to those of the Khyber Pass.

For now they wished to keep their own deployments small and instead would focus on bolstering the strength of the family so that they could more efficiently stand on their own, rather than being hollowed out by their many foreign benefactors and the debts they incurred by doing business with them. Every bullet that could be produced or reloaded domestically would sharply cut the overhead of Kafka's warmachine. Every gun forged and soldier raised would, in turn, help secure the patriarch's position that much more firmly against the Kaiser to the south and ambitious warlords to the north. The Brotherhood hoped they could see the benefit.

Luc'
July 1st, 2016

Averin Pavel Kafka. The second son of Luc' Kafka. The only surviving son that was left. Boris was already considered dead, the rat, the
мудак
. Arthur Rurick (Ar-Tor, Rur-Rick), came next in line, also very powerful. After these two foundations of the natural order, of the old Kafka family, there was just Vixen, and the children of Averin. There were 18 war-lords at least, and only the counts mattered. There were three counts, and then the political influence of foreign backers, of KNG and Yeren. A force count would need to be chosen soon, and considerations were being made.

The mountainous region of the nation still had mineral wealth to be exploited, a lot in fact. MPoV was tapping into some of the mountains, but the lands outside that belonged to Luc' had many more mountains. The lands north of Luc' had even more mineral wealth. Nickle, copper, iron, and others. Gems. Rare earth elements. It all was there if you knew where to look and how to mine for it. Trade with Parallel, Yeren, and KNG was booming now. There was a lot of investment in the nation, a lot of construction, a lot of mechanization. There remained fields of Opium, endless labs that turned out Yaba and sold it to a mysterious buyer, or Nod. A dollar and twenty cents of universal dollars a pill. In the growing markets outside Yeren and MindWalker, those pills sold for three dollars. A packet of bath salts sold for twenty dollars in The West, and that was years ago.

Opium was now cheap, it wasn't the moneymaker it once was. There were three sources of it that supplied the three touching landmasses, but now there was just one. KNG wasn't taking that stuff in, and Yeren was watching their borders and dealing with addiction effectively. Buyers with planes and smugglers, or boats and smugglers, they were the ones who made the money now. Opium was selling cheap right now, half price, just enough to cover costs. Yaba, labor, and minerals were the new foundations of the Kafka economy.

The year-round "professionals" knew had to fight, but the issue was supplies and morale. Under Luc' these things were improving in noticeable ways. Wages were up enough to catch the interest of people, to screen who would get in and who wouldn't. There was an industry in Luc' to make more guns, but there were only a few factories and many of the cottage industries were in the territory of MPoV. New factories were already being built, and surplus KNG weapons were being moved into the nation, but more factories would be greatly appreciated.

Averin wondered if he would get a white peace or victory in this war. He knew two things for certain, Vixen and the outside backers still had vacuums of power to fill. Averin wondered if it mattered, he was just a count before, now he was patriarch.

Postby The 4th August Regime of Greece » Wed Jun 27, 2018 4:23 am

The Theocratic 4th August Army was facing little to know resistance as they saw that there enemy was falling back. Wasting no time whatsoever the Theocratic 4th August troops advanced as much as they could until they reached the outskirts of major cities, including the capital. There they would entrench themselves and set up artillery, heavy machine guns and anti tank weapons. The 211 Leopard Tanks that were with them became stationary as they used there cannons to shoot any forms of armoured movement. At time they would disband to search for renegade parties of troops to eliminate but since not much movement was occurring they were set into certain positions.

With their MG 32's and MG 41's the Greeks would shoot any troops caught in the line of fire while they wear them out with their artillery strikes. Public executions of Boris's men were common. The Greeks were only there to wear them out. Even if it meant destroying the cities. The majority of the Katyusha missile attacks were to the capital. They needed a victory. And if the capital fell, so did the morale of the enemy troops.

Meanwhile in Thessaloniki, Ioannis Metaxas greeted the Foreign Minister. He sat him down on a chair next to a fireplace and offered him some Greek Rakiya. "I hope you are doing alright my friend. Anyhow I would like to open the issue that is currently lingering over my head and that is preventing any peace to be found in MindWalker: The Kaiser". He paused for a moment and then began to speak "You see, I believe I was quite reasonable in sending a letter to the Kaiser. I was calling for negotiations between the two factions as I don't want to escalate this into a religious war. But the Kaiser went above and beyond to insult me and decline my offer of peace". He waited for the Foreign Minister to reply.

In the meantime in the Kaiser's southern territory (B territory), the Theocratic 4th August Army attempted to entrench their position where they stood. They were being met with serious resistance from the Reich and had to keep the ground they stood on. Due to the current bombardment of air support, The Theocratic 4th August Army made good use with their Incendiary and Rocket Launchers. As they were doing in the north, the Theocratic 4th August Army were doing in the south. This time they weren't partaking in a siege but rather defending and holding the position they already had. They needed to hold their ground for as ling as they could until either the enemy gave up or Boris's capital was stormed. They requested to the Black Hand for Stinger Missile Launchers to help ease off against the air bombardment of the Reich.

Elsewhere, out at sea, the ships began to charge. The Three Frigates were now charging to the safety of Kafka waters. Knowing that there was not a huge EE presence in that particular area they attempted to retreat with their ships intact. However their turrents, torpedoes and missiles were ready as an EE airstrike could occur. They were given the order to fire at will on any EE military naval or aircraft that was blocking them from safety. The other 2 frigates were still stalling. They were firing torpedoes at the EE naval ships when they got too close but none of the shots were critical as they didn't want to start a fire fight to early. Most of the shots were warning shots. They were attempting to stand their ground. The 7 fighter jets that were with them began looping around and occasionally landing in the coast to refuel. They were intercepting any planes that were getting to close to the ships. So far no shots were fired. The 45 aircraft would arrive in the Naval standoff 4 days from now.

Reinforcements for the 4th August Regime presence in MindWalker would arrive in 6 days time. A lot of people in the 4th August Regime of Greece were having mixed feelings about the war but they were adamant about keeping the Kafka independent and their faith free from tyrannical prosecution.
