Your Excellencies, Ambassadors, dear colleagues,

I write you this letter in regard of the "Cyllea issue". It has come to the attention of my government that Cyllea is currently governed by the National Socialist Party. Now this does not have to be a bad thing immediatley. We are, however, also aware that in many countries in both the past and present the "National Socialists" have been responsible for gross Human-, Civil-, and Political Rights violations. Because of that - and on behalf of my government - I hereby like to express our concerns with the current political situation in Cyllea. Also in respect to their current membership application for this Human-, LGBTQ-, Political- and Civil Rights organization.

My government - for example - needs to know if the current government and/or the people of Cyllea discriminate against any ethnic, sexual or other minorities and if universal Human-, Civil- and Political Rights are uphold. Now we all know what the answer of the honourable Delegate of Cyllea might be on that question. Because of that the United States calls for immediate hearings and an independent investigation into this matter. If the outcome of these hearings and this independent investigation are positive - in our opinion - the Principality of Cyllea can become a member of this organization. If the outcome is negative the member states of the Stonewall Alliance should consider to deny Cyllea from entering this prestigious body.

So I'd like to conclude this letter by calling for the support of other member states for the hearings and investigation into this matter. I also call upon the government of Cyllea to co-operate with the Stonewall Alliance and allow investigators into your country - in order for them to report back to us, here at Stonewall Headquarters. I thank you in advance! '

Finnaly, I also would like to call upon the Admissions Office to remove and delete all telegrams and other records from (Non-Member State) Glaswegistan and - if possible - deny them further entry in Stonewall Alliance affairs. On several occasions we have already made clear that their country can't be a part of this organization, unless big changes are made. So far we have seen none of that and we continue to get telegrams about internal Stonewall Alliance Affairs.

I am writing in response to your missive regarding the membership application of Cyllea, and the membership of the Federal Republic of Glaswegistan in the Stonewall Alliance.

The Queendom of Alqania has, at their own initiative, undertaken with the monarch of Cyllea to work towards an acceptable resolution to that matter; the Office has entrusted that matter to the Alqanian government, and shall await their findings before making any determination. Given the state of civil war in that nation, their application has been held pending the establishment of a functional government.

As per the the current official membership list (line 50 refers), the Federal Republic is a current member of the Alliance, represented by Mr Scott Canmore.

If the United States of Noordeinde has an objection to the continuing membership of the Federal Republic of Glaswegistan, I would appreciate being informed of this objection by private correspondence before it is taken to the general membership. At present, this is the first the Admissions Office has heard of the matter, and we are not aware of any cause or reason for the expulsion of Glaswegistan.

Unless due cause or reason can be shown, we shall not be striking that sovereignty from the membership.

Nothing major; I'm planning on having my nation be somewhat conservative, and perhaps one of my citizens could derisively make a remark about The Stonewall Alliance posters which have sprung up ever since Lincolnocracy (recently) liberalized its trading relations. Or, alternatively, I could have a character who was helped by a Stonewall Alliance volunteer at some point in their life. As you can tell, I'm pretty new, heh. If so, I'm happy to link to The Stonewall Alliance when I mention it.

Anyway, either way, good luck with the organization.

OOC: Hey Linc. The running of the Alliance (by which I mean; keeping the membership list up to date and processing applications and coordinating investigations and so on) has fallen on my head in SPR’s school-related absence. Currently activities by Alliance members are conducted informally, on a volunteer basis, as the governing charter has yet to be ratified or even presented to the membership. Currently membership simply means your nation is recognised as having very good rights for gender and sexual minorities, and doesn’t confer any real obligations – this will be changing though. So your second option is better if you want any form of active involvement. Check with one of the members here – see the membership roster at the bottom of my post above – the excel file. That’s the most current one.

OOC: North-East Germany; the Alliance has knocked back people who discriminate against heterosexual couples before. By imposing a higher marriage age and additional restrictions on straight couples, it’s considered unfair discrimination. You’re going to get refused unless the ages are equalised (the Breeding Licence requirement should be made dependent on the couple’s fertility and not sexuality – i.e., an 80-year-old heterosexual couple should be able to wed without needing a BL, since they’re too old to reproduce together).

OOC: North-East Germany; the Alliance has knocked back people who discriminate against heterosexual couples before. By imposing a higher marriage age and additional restrictions on straight couples, it’s considered unfair discrimination. You’re going to get refused unless the ages are equalised (the Breeding Licence requirement should be made dependent on the couple’s fertility and not sexuality – i.e., an 80-year-old heterosexual couple should be able to wed without needing a BL, since they’re too old to reproduce together).

A breeding license is needed to be able to legally raise a child. It's to prove you are a competent parent. There is no discrimination against straight people, it's just that you have to be 21 to hold a Breeding license, and since a Heterosexual couple can conceive children without anyone knowing, they have to hold a breeding license before they can marry. Gay couples still have to be 21 to adopt, but they can marry at 16. We do not believe this to be discrimination

The Protectorate of Gloria Regis has been a New Edomite province since 1919 when it was taken in conquest from the last remnant of the Cornellian Empire. Since then her people have struggled to maintain their own identity.

Last year, a coalition of the Communist and Feminist Collective Parties joined to win an election, achieving a majority, and able to internally govern as elected political parties have done since becoming part of the Allied States of New Edom. We had this year begun to consider a referendum to see if the people wanted independence from the Allied States of New Edom. Towards the end of a rally which was held throughout the Protectorate the leader of the Communist Party of Gloria Regis, Nelson Smith, was murdered by an assassin's bomb that destroyed much of the Palace of the Ethnarch where he was staying with several others.

In the wake of this, various militias in the city began to riot, began to seize the opportunity to attack one another and innocent citizens. One of our own Ministers of State has been accused of planning the assassination, certain militias have contested the duly appointed Municipal Police's right to protect food warehouses and the city of Sixington's power plant, and have fatally shot a number of police who were using rubber bullets and other non lethal gear.

We had hoped that democratic and other nations which love freedom would have supported us--and at first they seemed to. However only one nation, McNernia, has come out in our favour, urging strong sanctions against the Allied States of New Edom's government.

In contrast to our protectorate's government, the national government of the Allied States is currently ruled by General Pahath-Moab, who took power to stop civil war. He has promised that he only did this for the good of the country and intended to have elections at the end of six months. That time has passed. We say it has passed for New Edom and for Gloria Regis. We ask you, we beg you, to support us now. Not for feminism or communism in particular but for the right of a people to determine their own political path and their own future.
