“Amazing,” – said Captain Bisharra Almasi as the hospital gurneys were rolled into the Terminal halls. “Amazing,” – he repeated. “You know, in Diryanistan they didn’t engage in this stubborn foolishness.”

His assistant shrugged. “In Diryanistan they were smarter.”

“We’re here to help the sick and injured. Wouldn’t they want us to help them?”

“Most of the injured are infidels to the government,” – the assistant pointed out.

“Most but not all. And even if it were true, Islam has a charity commandment. Muhammad accepted aid and gifts from non-believers, why cannot this Sultan?” – Almasi asked. “Does he view himself as more pious than the Prophet? “

“The things they believe probably differ very much from anything you, or your family, believe, Captain.” – the Assistant replied. “Your family are kind and charitable people. These people here are stubborn sadists. It’s almost as if they practiced a totally different religion under the same name.”

“Like how Iesians and Reichksamphenites both call themselves Christians, but Reichksamphenites are decent, but Iesus Christi is a fuming mess?”

The assistant paused. The comparison wasn’t pleasant to her. “Yes. Exactly like that.”

“Now, we need to get keep working. Let’s go lend the men a hand. Come on, Clarissa! We need to setup the terminal.”

As the military doctors worked the Terminal was being transformed gradually. Several beds have been tented off, to become basic, field-expedient intensive care rooms. Folding beds have been set out on the floor, for injured patients that needed rest, but didn’t require immediate surgery, to lay on. The Sukhoi Superjets began refueling immediate4ly, ready to fly patients and refugees home to Allanea.

Several hours later, Captain Bishara Amlasi, tired of a shift where he was less an officer and a doctor and more of a pack animal, sat down in the airport’s food court and ordered a malawah, a pair of boiled eggs, and a black coffee. He had a feeling he’d need all the calories he could get.

And indeed, lo and behold, that which I have predicted has come to pass, as the Holy Scriptures say.

Which is why, I, Your Excellency the President of the United States Donald D. Dwarf, make this proposal to His Muhammedan Eminence the Muslim Sultan of Qaidi in terms even someone like him would understand: if the Christians don't like you, set them free. Let them come to us, let them live in the United States, where they will be treated as Christians of whatever provenance are treated here. If your problem with your Christians is that they live among you, then let them die among us instead so you can live peacefully without being molested by these globalist thugs.

A squadron of our finest aid ships (and naval escort, lest the globalists fire upon them in sheer spite) will set sail from the Navy port in Bengalia onwards to Qaidi. Their mission will be to review the papers of those wanting to embark on the ships, certify them as alien Christians with no previous criminal background or infectious diseases, and sail out of Qaidi territory, all in seven days from disembarking.

Free yourselves from the globalist menace, avoid a war which you shall surely lose, before the globalists destroy you and your culture.

All across Qaidi, phones ring out messages as the Mediaman Embassy sent out messages to tourists. The message was read as followed:

In light of recent events, the Mediaman Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ordered all Mediaman nationals and their allies to proceed to the Mediaman Embassy. This is for the sake of your own safety. We advise you notify all friends and loved ones, and to act quickly while you still can. Ensure that you have all necessary documentation proving your citizenship, remain calm, and protect any valuables at hand. You will be ordered to remain on he Embassy premises for the duration of your stay in Qaidia. Should the situation escalate, we will do our best to ensure your safe return home. On behalf of the queen, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Mediaman tourists and businessmen alike flocked to the embassy, marines frantically cross-referenced ID papers and passports with government databases. Qaidi staff members of the embassy flashed their ID's, as they try to have their families be granted asylum into the embassy. Embedded journalists filmed the chaos in the embassy as it unfolded.

"Sah!" A royal marine stamped at attention and saluted, before returning at ease. "Most of the nationals are responding to the texts, and are being accounted for. Qaidi staff are also being granted asylum with their families for the duration of the event. Lieutenant-Colonel Hague is wondering on the ETA of the taskforce, sah!"

Ambassador Williamson combed his hair with his fingers in stress as he hastily searched through oodles of paperwork. "We just received word that the taskforce has been forced to dock at Gibraltar indefinitely in part to a live fire exercise being conducted by another fleet in the area." The ambassador stood up, and stared at the map of the Mediterranean, "What is supposed to be a five day trip will be delayed even longer. If they fail to arrive at their location in time, they will not be able to send any choppers should this devolve into civil war. We're on thin ice, Lieutenant, we best not try to crack it even further. I will do my best to try to mediate any talks with the Human Rights Groups, and the Qaidi Sultanate, but I fear for the safety of our charges should that go wrong."

"Surely we can do our best to beat any violence back sah."

"We are but a battalion of marines, Lieutenant, I doubt 300 men will be able to hold back all the sultanate's government forces."

"We can still try our best, sah."

The ambassador nodded. "Have the Leftenant Colonel do his best in strengthening our guard Leftenant. I want to be sure that this embassy, and its inhabitants are safe. Dismissed."

"Sah, yes sah!" The lieutenant saluted, and clicked his heels, before he turned about face, and marched out of the room.

The ambassador turned and walked back to his desk, on it were orders from the Ministry of Foreign affairs to assist in any capacity of foreign aid conducted by other nations. With this in mind he began to type a message, that message was sent via civilian Landover flying the Mediaman flag to Airport Terminal One by an embassy staff man, guarded by a royal marine.

Our medical facilities are small, if any, as are our living quarters for guests, but you will be under constant guard from our marine contingent. The embassy itself has already taken in a considerable amount of Qaidian nationals seeking asylum for their service with our embassy whose families are in dire need of care. The time is 10:54 when the Emperor Saint Sanguine turns on the television in his ageing office and looks at the news. "More reports of ethnics unrest in our glorious nation." He mutters to himself as displays of Muslims marching in protest on the streets of several Baalian cities fills the news feed. He even sees a couple of Christian marches taking place. He sighs and is about to turn off the television when a new report comes on, "The world has turned it's collective attention to the situation in Qaidi. Where reformists are clashing with die hard nationalists who wish the way of govern to stay the same. Several Naval task forces have been deployed to the area and offers of help and aid are quick and fast in coming to help the nations people. Continued clashes between Christians, non-Muslims and Muslims are reported as well. How the nation of Baal shall react though is still unknown." With that the report changed to the weather which the Emperor turned off. He sighed again, "Joseph!" The shout had barely finished before a young man entered the room looking around before bowing a deep bow to his Emperor. "Yes my lord?" He asks still staring at his feet. "Get up you idiot." The Emperor says quickly before catapulting himself from his chair and heading over to his desk, "Why have I not been briefed about the situation in Qaidi?" He asks looking at the young man who now stood up and shrugged, "It didn't seem important my lord the problems our own nation faces-"
"Could easily be solved by resolving the situation in another do you not think?" The Emperor interrupted leaning back in his large desk chair. "Think on it Joseph if we prop up this Qaidi government and help show the might of governmental rule we can show our own people we are not to be fucked with!" Joseph looked at his Emperor.
"My lord our government is predominately Christian why would we help a Muslim system?"
"Because it is the perfect way to show the people we are progressive that we here their cries for change. If the Muslims want us to be progressive it's best we show we can be by helping a nation who follows their religion. Anyway draft a message I want aid and such to be sent and maybe offer them advisers or something you know? Anything we can offer get it done." With that the Emperor dismissed Joseph who turned on a penny and left the room.

In the House of the People, a sizeable controversy was developing. The Prime Minister, Marco Woodson, had previously pledged to fight human rights abuses in other nations no mattter the cost. Now, he had stayed silent on the issue of Qaidi and on the previous EU conference, spoke only of combating "Islamic extremism" without any mention of the country. Still, behind the scenes there were some conversations taking place.

"Fellow members of the chamber," called the Prime Minister, in a state of visible distress. "As you may be aware, the situation within Qaida is worsening. Our fellow states have encountered some difficulties in providing humanitarian aid to the hermit state and as a result of this, I have decided to avoid retribution from other UN members for interfering too much in their affairs. We all remember what happened in Iraq. We will of course be providing asylum to those who wish to flee the regime, but we shall not be providing assistance other than this."

There was a brief moment where the only sound was the collective rustling of papers and clearing of throats. Seven people rose simultaneously and six sat down, looking rather dissapointed. The MP spoke, "So you mean we will not be taking any actual action to stop numerous huam rights abuses. This is may be less provocative, but that is because you have done nothing to be provoked about." He sat down with an air of annoyance. Before anyone else could voice their objections, the Prime Minister stood up. "We have no wish to further aggravate our neighbours, any action on Qaidian soil could have a very detrimental effect on the few Kenmoria nationals living there. I simply cannot risk causing more damage." There was a murmur of approval before the MP spoke again, "Then do not take action, merely send a letter letting them know that we disapprove of their actions and that we will not stand for further oppression."

After ten seconds in which nobody voiced objections to the current motion, a vote was held. The results were 57% in favour, 32% against, and 11% abstaining. With that, a letter was composed.

President Umar al-Murad drank a cup of Turkish Coffee. The cup was extremely small as Turkish coffee was extremely effective. The coffee had helped to keep him awake. It was only a few days until October 1st. The hunt to catch Chris Rahman had started. Five homes had been raided in secrecy. As he finished his coffee, his inbox lit up as an e-mail from Milton Freeman popped up. Umar quickly read the message and responded to it.

There were many messages from the U.S.S.R. and the U.T.P. which the Royal Palace transferred to him. He quickly closed his laptop and went to take a nap. He had a stressful day and he did not want to send a message to the two nations. He decided to ignore them. However, right before going to sleep, two new messages came in. He looked at both at them. He then forwarded them to the Royal Palace where the message from Baal was accepted while the message from Kenmoria was ignored in hopes of the Kenmorians deciding to send an ambassador.

Ilyaas el-Reza, Rafeeq al-Saleem, their squad and the whole Moral Police had been in controversy after foreign nations found out about the recent raid on a Christian family apartment unit. But, investigators soon realised that an ambassador from the United Tecdo Peandland had stayed in another room near the room of the raid. This lead meant that a moral police squad would have to capture the ambassador. But, they would pretend to be Christian Radicals. This would give blame on the opposition. And when the ambassador gave all the information. They would kill him or, 'government forces' could rescue him. It'd depend on the situation.

That night, 24:00

Ilyaas, Rafeeq and the MP squad would stay in the background and would only move in if the disguised 'Christian Radicals' had trouble. Which was unlikely, at the break of Midnight, the radicals rushed into the room to try to capture the ambassador and take him to a remote location.

Since you haven't posted where Ambassador Gorski is, I will assume he is in the room.

Terminal 1 was vast. Polished columns, looking as if they have been covered in silver, reached dozens of yards towards the ceiling, the arrivals and departure halls probably tall enough to build an entire apartment building inside them. Captain Almasi’s men had worked at a feverish pace, and now in the arrivals hall, four operating rooms had been erected – inflatable structures that had been simply carried on by hand, each weighing only about as much as a person when deflated. Surgical tools had been made ready inside them, and air pressure systems buzzed as they pumped in pure, filtered air into the operating rooms.

Outside, the Sukhoi Superjets were standing at the ready. The first group of Qaidi people – Christians mainly, who had despaired at the violence in their country – were already lining up in the departure halls, being processed rapidly by a team of six people from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dressed in blue, soldier-like parade uniforms. The entire task took less than five minutes – an Allanean would take down the refugee’s name and photograph them with a digital camera. Later, when they arrived in Allanea, they would receive a Temporary Refugee Identification Card. In some cases, individuals who desired so could have a different name printed on their RIC than on their original government papers. At that point, only the Allanean officials could ever link John S. Smith, a refugee resident in Liberty-City, to Abdullah who had left from Qaidi.

The diplomatic clerks typed and worked at a feverish pace – they knew, as part of their training, that they needed to get that plane filled out.

“Name? Is this your daughter? What is the girl’s name? Fatima?” – tap-tap-tap, the uniformed clerk’s eyes did not even turn to the screen or the keyboard as her hands danced on the buttons. ”That’s alright, Fatima, it’s going to be okay,” – the clerk said as she reached into a box, and gave the child a small, colorful package. It included two toys – figurines that were equally suited to be used as action figures and as dolls. “Welcome to the Free Kingdom.” – the clerk smiled, and as the child was ushered by her past the parents, she returned to typing.

“Name? Please step in front of the camera, sir.”

Organization mattered. Four clerks entered the logs swiftly. Within two hours, the first Sukhoi passenger jet was entirely filled with refugees. In two hours and thirty minutes, the pilot rested his hands on the controls.

“Fuel, check.”

“Coolant, check.”

“Sensors and electronics, check. All systems functional.”

“Clear for takeoff.”

The rotor blades, forged in Rybinsk, in Allanean Russia, spun. The jet rolled down the runway. The wheels rolled on the ground for several seconds, and then, at some imperceptible moment, they no longer touched Qaidi soil, and the Superjet was on its way.

Already, the temporary hospital beds were beginning to fill up with the injured, bearing the tell-tale marks of the victims of rioting and street fights – here a hematoma and a fractured rib from a rubber bullet, there an outright bullet wound from a police sniper – or, conversely, horrible burns from a Molotov thrown by a protester. Captain Almasi was a doctor. The oath was clear, and so were the Prophet’s commandments of charity.

“A charity is due for every joint in each person on every day the sun comes up: to act justly between two people is a charity; to help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it, is a charity; a good word is a charity; and removing a harmful thing from the road is a charity.”

The words of scripture kept Almasi calm as he oversaw work and helped his men and women bandage wounds, administer drugs against pain and psychological shock – promedol for pain, propanolol for trauma. Transparent, rapid-healing bandages were applied to cuts. In one of the operating rooms, a team was already at work – not for a combat injury, but aiding a man who had suddenly collapsed during a protest with a sharp pain in his stomach. It had turned out to be appendicitis. It didn’t matter.

“He is a patient. Prep the OR.”

There was a simple rule Almasi followed. Outside the field hospital there were rioters, Moral Policemen, there could be a civil war or even an atomic war. In the last assignment he had, in Diryanistan, there was literally atomic war. However, the lines – imaginary though they were – that separated the field hospital from everything else were secure. Inside the lines, there would not be enemies and friends, there would be only disease and cure, doctors and pace. His enemy, chief and foremost, was Death himself.

He began to hum the Doctors’ March.

After a day or two of thinking and decided, Frank had figured out how to bring about the slow but sure destruction of this barbaric government. He would send troops posing as radical Christians to attack or leave bombs at strategic targets, such as the police stations belonging to the moral police. Yes, this did mean that if successful the Christians would be more hated. But what had they ever done for him, they hated gays as much as the Muslims. He didn't care if they suffered, he had a job to do. That job was to destroy the Islamic government of the country.

Suddenly, there is a bright orange flash. A raging fireball engulfs the building, vaporising the ammo and damaging the weapons beyond repair. The fireball extended beyond the building slightly. People were knocked back, cars trembled and windows came crashing down.

After the explosion had dissipated, the building was devastated. The interior was scatted with rubble and debris, with the odd corpse here and there. Most of them were charred beyond recognition. The ones that weren't completely flaked in burnt skin were dismembered in some shape or form.

While one of their own had been lost, the mission was a success for Jackania. Eventually, Islam would fall.

[Shield of Baal]

The Special Forces soldiers of Baal began to prepare to leave Baal and head out towards Qaidi. The soldiers were slowly getting kit together, rifles, ammo and other pieces of important equipment, especially water rations. All the soldiers are from the Baalian Christian ethnic group and are veteran fighters from the Settlement Years (1990-2015) many of them have lost friends to Muslims and many others have found their loyalty to the Emperor tested on many missions throughout the world. But now the soldiers begin to embark on the mighty transport planes which soon take to the air and begin the journey to Qaidi where they will be deployed into hunter-killer teams to hunt down dissidents to the government and training teams to help the Moral Police become an even deadlier force.

Meanwhile a large protest is taking place in the Baalian capital of Baal. Military forces are deployed quickly to the site of the protest when rumours of weapons in the crowd begin to filter up to Governmental forces. "We want independence! We Want religious freedom!" Comes the cry from the crowd in Baal whilst the soldiers begin to set up a barrier across the main road blocking the protesters in. Snipers begin to move to the rooftops to try and pick out the armed protesters. "Sir we got-" One man begins to say to his LT at the Barrier before the sound of gunfire drowns him out. Immediately the crowd parts and men in balaclavas and military vests begin to charge the barrier firing AKs as they go. Immediately the government forces return fire opening up with their own rifles cutting the men down and any innocents who are still in the street. The slaughter lasts only two minutes but in that time enough rounds are fired to cut down over a hundred people not including the twenty armed gunmen.

Outside of the city a beautiful bride and her husband step out of a church their smiles wide at having, through all their struggles, finally tied the knot. The family gather round for photos. The camera flashes just as a car pulls up and three men step out, "For Allah!" They shout and open fire on the wedding group.

A secretary burst into the room carrying a tray that was oddly lacking in papers. Out of breath, he pushed his way through several double doors. After a good minute of running through the various security checks and local business stalls allowed to advertise their wares, he made it to the office of the minister of foreign affairs. Apparently the PM was pre-occupied with a strike in the mining industry, he would probably return if the situation worsened but right now he had more important things to be working on. Straightening his tie, the secretary placed the empty tray in front of the glaring minister. "The reason we have these trays Mr. Secretary, is to put papers in them," he remarked in a cynical tone, "So please tell me why this lovely container is strangely void in things with which to contain. I do hope there hasn't been a mistake." The secretary stared briefly at the tray as though to materialise a response to the letter the department had sent to Qaidi.

"Um, well, they appear to have ignored it."

"I see, and what do you presume we do about this."

"We could always send an ambassador directly."

"Yes, that's sounds perfectly reasonable, let's just send one of the Kenmoria WA mission diplomatic staff to a hermit kingdom which commits human rights abuses daily. It's not as though we pledged to isolate regimes such as theirs."

"Um, ah,"

"Have any other bright ideas, Mr. Secretary?"

"No,"

"Then please leave the room."

The secretary left the room, evidently embarrassed with whole episode and fearing for the security of his job. He knew as well as anyone that sending an ambassador to Qaidi would be dangerous at best and downright suicidal at worst. The embassy had a reputation of sticking its nose where is wasn't wanted and none of Kenmoria WA staff wished to risk it. He straightened his tie again, though it was already perfectly aligned, and left the room. One of the downfalls of democracy was it could be inefficient and in this particular scenario, sending an ambassador to a nation such as Qaidi would require a parliamentary vote and shed loads of bureaucracy. Something nobody wished to undergo.

Once the minister was certain the secretary had left the room and was not anywhere near a position where he could here the conversations inside, he turned on the intercom. "Send a message to the Kenmoria WA mission, tell them to send an ambassador to Qaidi. We may have pledged to never send an ambassador from our nation to Qaidi, but technically they are a different country." Satisfied his work had been done and the annoying secretary had been fired, the minister went for a well deserved cup of tea from the nearest vending machine.

Dear sir!

Unfortunately, our situation is dire. We have been unable to receive permission from the government of Qaidi to operate outside Terminal 1 of the airport, and to travel anywhere except directly from the Terminal to foreign embassies ready to welcome our men and women. This makes our job difficult indeed, as we must essentially wait for people to come to us. I recommend the following course of action:

Direct as many refugees as possible to travel to Terminal 1 if they can, or transport them there with our assistance. He did turn back, as to not be killed or captured by the Qaidi government and held. Joint Declaration on the Matter of the Humanitarian Crisis in Qaidi

As it is known, our nations are opposed to each other ideologically as much as they can be. A monarchic capitalist libertarian nation, and a hardcore Stalinist nation would rarely come together on an issue of import. Yet here we are. The brutality of the so-called ‘Moral Police’ had brought us to this juncture. Neither Communist nor Capitalist may stand reasonably and look upon the murder of small children and their mothers in the streets in the name of a backwards-looking interpretation of religion - or, truly, for any other reason.

Moreover, despite the multiple appeals of the world community, the Sultan of Qaidi has refused to listen to reason, and to tone down the violence used by his police forces. More, he has also made it effectively impossible for foreign doctors to provide humanitarian assistance in his nation, to such an extent that even the few foreign aid personnel deployed are able to only operate within embassies and the airport, not able to to step out of their trucks to render assistance on the way between these points.

As such, our nations demand the following from the Sultan of Qaidi, and invite the world community to join our call for action. We ask all nations of good will throughout the world to sign on to the Joint Declaration on the Matter of the Humanitarian Crisis in Qaidi. We ask His Majesty the Sultan to come to the negotiating table on these demands, lest he faced increased sanctions, and possibly intervention, to ensure not even the rights - but the very physical survival of the Qaidi people to whom their government is denying basic medical care and their very right to live:

1. We demand that the Sultan of Qaidi either cease violent operations by the ‘Moral Police’ entirely, or alter their rules of engagement to what would be expected of a riot control force generally, i.e. use less-lethal weapons where possible, end the resorting to extrajudicial operations, etc. It would be preferable to us if the organization were disbanded, but at the absolute mionimum we end up the detaining of the individuals in charge of the organization and an independent investigation into its role in the past few weeks’ violence.

3. We demand that the Sultan of Qaidi guarantee entirely the right of his subjects to leave the country at any given time of their own choosing. Should this not be accepted, it will be viewed as an attempt by the Sultan to use the country as a prison or a slave-plantation, and our response will be in accordance with this perception.

4. We demand that the Sultan of Qaidi deport (preferably to the Free Kingdom of Allanea) any blasphemers, rebels, and other similar criminals in his prisons (as we realize he will not be willing to release them in his own nation), as well as declare a 5-year moratorium on the death penalty.

5. We once again invite other nations to support this Declaration.

As flocks of people gathered to Terminal 1, the Sultan gave the orders. Immediately, Moral Policemen (MPs) blocked the way into the airport and set up a mass checkpoint. Two lone large Soviet Aerofloat planes had begun to touch down on the runway of the airport, on two different runway slowly they decelerated and began to come to a full stop before they were brought over to a hanger, soviet air force officers left the cockpits with other air force members and the cockpit began to separate from the fuselage of the plane. Little did anyone know this was the beginning of a soviet occupation, even if just one of an airport it could quickly be turned into a larger affair. Two small ramps came down from the aircraft to allow for vehicles to be offloaded. Down these ramps came two GAZ-2975 Tigr armoured vehicles with mobile field kitchens, afterwards a couple squads of Soviet troops with red cross armbands on them all the while still dressed with full battle kit, in the second plane it was drastically different, a Bumerang wheeled APC came down the ramp followed by a GAZ-33097 light cargo truck of which was directed to a gate noticeably devoid of Moral Police, The commander of the "construction troops", Major Anton Michail Yezgorov of whom was in actuality a member of the NKVD Special Purpose Forces Directorate "A', of which were the most secretive of Soviet Special Forces, while the construction troops began to build up a checkpoint themselves they would allow civilians through and their presence with AKs as well as light machine guns apparently discouraged the Moral Police, the light cargo truck of which of which was now fully devoid of cargo blocked the way for vehicles. The "Construction troops" would remain there while they awaited the arrival of reinforcements.

While the "Construction troops" began to open up a way for Civilians to get through and get aid from the Allaneans, the aid forces began to build their own surgical and clinics in Terminal 2 of the airport beginning to take the strain off of the Allaneans assisting wherever they could with surgeries, giving much needed supplies to the Allaneans for their aid efforts.

Latrova before Alexi could reply hung up the phone and continued to watch while some condemned the move but a greater number, including the Warsaw Pact countries praised the action, some governments of the Warsaw Pact even publically announcing the possibility of sending their own aid forces with Soviet forces.
