Energy production in Olpen, mandated as the Fume Act of 2022
The Chamber Minister has signed the Global Protectionism & Fumes Act today following approval from the Chamber of Ministers and Senate. The bill was originally was proposed by Scezonian Senator Renart Smithon as Scezonian sea walls had a minor burst in the city, which is 6 feet below sea level. The bill will sanction trade against carbon-negative nations.
The government has announced that any country that is carbon negative will be sanctioned by 15%, regardless of whether or not the company selling to Olpen has any bearing on this. The intent is to make it so that it's in countries' best interests to go carbon positive. It is also meant to make companies go local in the interest of avoiding tariffs.
You do know that Carbon positive means producing more CO2?
