In the TSSSS, Agent Oliver was trained to notice subtle differences in his environment. Indeed, he noticed a SS soldier eyeing him suspiciously. Deciding not to begin snooping just yet, he followed up to ease suspicion.
"Thank ya'll kindly. That is all I wanted ta know. Nice place, by tha way."
The Agent smiled and tipped his hat. He then turned out and walked back outside, this time, ducking his head so not to smack against the door.
"Golly," Wallace thought, "This realm is swarmin' with troops."
In a lesser-armed nation, he'd be in the attic wiretapping by now! Agent Oliver decided to head down the street a good ways and enter a coffee shop.
Entering the cafe, he ordered a glass of skim milk and a chocolate doughnut. As he ate, he nervously noticed soldiers standing gaurd both in and outside the shop. Deciding to pose as a tourist, the Agent stood and walked to a nearby soldier. Again, he dwarfed the heavilly armed man. Out of respect, the human saluted to the SS gaurd. Of course, he really screwed up because his salute was the traditional method of TurtleShroom: the American salute with the left arm behind one's back. He quickly tried to explain.
"Oh. I... I apologize for my improper salute, sir... I ain't from this country."
Agent Oliver retreated his arm into his robe and came back out with a black wallet containing his Passport, showing it. A second wallet accidently fell out, this one containing his TSSSS badge. As it hit the floor, he quickly picked that one up.
"Pardon, that was my wallet." he wasn't lying, it WAS a wallet.
"Anyway... I's just wantin' to ask a question 'bout yer nation's military, if y'all could take a moment."
The soldier nodded.
"Why does this here nation abandon possee cometatus? Does yer citizens not get all creeped out by soldiers watchin' them all tha time? As a tourist, I am. My homeland's as armed as yers, with a big military, nookular weapons, and civillian gun ownership. Most armed in the reigon, son. Yet... we gots cops, and we got a military. Our troops are busy with other foreign and domestic affiars, our cops got crime to deal with. Or, in other words, why do ya'll use the army as tha sherrif and sherrif as the army, instead of seperating them two?"
