The Sultan walked around, inspecting the tanks about to be used in the counterattack. The soldiers were nervous. They knew that if he found a problem, or if he made a problem up, one of them would die. At least. The Sultan seemed satisfied. "Right! All of you! I've decided to use a new route."

An explosion ripped through the air. When the dust cleared, the officers saw the remains of the sultan. What would happen now?

Seeing this opportunity Coldian then begins a surprise attack in the Caucasus countries and aligns themselves with the Armenian rebels. Coldian then reaches out to IHS revealing that they planned to assassinate the sultan and double-cross them as their ruthless and harsh rule was seen present as troops were helping and connecting with the local populous. The forces in Turkey have pulled back and the fleet has fallen back. Forces in Baku and the surrounding area begin an occupation of the Eastern Coastline working with the populous and capturing Baku and Sumqayit with battles happening in nearby cities. Coldian Officially declares war on T&C and joins as technically a 3rd party but tries to reason with IHS they are siding with getting the independence of the Caucasus countries.
To IHS: "We hope to assist the Caucasus countries into gaining their independence. We do not wish to fight you and ask that we fight separately as acquaintances. I'm sorry this is abrupt but we have interests in mind and despise dictators. our forces have left Lebanon and are engaging in the Caucasus so please stop firing potshots at us and we'll do the same."

The situation on the ground within the Caucasian area has been closely monitored up to this point, and the numerous reports of fighting still continue to put into the front. The Central Committee of the All Union Demitorian Front have always considered intervention, but have never really put much thought into actually going through with it. It was believed the communist/socialist front would be able to hold the strength of the enemy, and that a stalemate and eventual ceasefire would come about. The strength of the IHS and it's allies was significantly underestimated, being assumed to be a loose and poorly equipped group of rebels not to be worried about.

This all has changed with the assassination of the Turkish leader.

General Secretary Rostovikin made a call to his secretary.

"Get me Marshal Yetkrorvisk, and also alert the rest of the National Defense Committee to be in my office at once."

The call was connected, and the movements began.

As soon as the call started and orders were given, a small portion of the 7th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment, the 82nd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, the 45th Independent Reconnaissance Regiment, and a small detachment of the Middle East Naval Forces were given standing orders to begin their movement to the region. Already, several special boat teams of the State Foreign Intelligence Service's Special Assignments Directorate were moving into Lebanon, looking for a possible landing site and securing bases of operations for them.

Small scale targeting operations of local commanders has also begun using sniper teams of the Special Assignments Directorate.

With less resistance in Beirut since Coldian switched sides, the Muqaddasi troops marched in and took the city. Teams of armed speedboats and midget submarines raided the coast of Lebanon, hoping to take a significant prize. Muqaddasi troops also started marching south from Beirut and north from Tyre to take Saïda.

The Armenians start revolting and expanding the areas they control. They start to encircle Yerevan, however T&C is too busy in it's power struggle to retaliate.



Turkey finally capitulates and demands a ceasefire and a peace deal.

The main objective is to link up with Turkish forces, and to immediately commence an offensive to free up any equipment or men that was left behind. As the army moves along, bridges and roads are hurriedly repaired to cope with the amount of men and material moving inland. Marines secure the town that the main force landed in, and the naval forces begun spreading out to keep the sea area directly around the landing site clear. The cruise missile submarine lies in wait detached from the main battle group.

The MRM (IHS) and T&C have both agreed to a ceasefire whilst they're negotiating.
T&C is temporarily led by Amad Rabagul, the highest ranking person in the military, whilst the government decides between Muhammad bin Hurman, Ahmet Jakari and Husam al Jabut. The problem is that T&C is weak right now, and if one person is chosen the other two will either invade T&C or start a revolt.

The Sapporo Council, the legislature of Alski, has declared that Alski is switching sides to neutral and will now send ships and airdrops to T&C and it’s allies, though still supplying IHS.

Husam al Jabut has been forced into exile by Ahmet Jakari and Muhammad ibn Hurman. Ahmet controls around a fifth of the country, mostly in the west, and Muhammed controls a quarter, mostly in the east. The rest is controlled by Husam's supporters, the military government and Armenian rebels.

Azerbaijan is uncomfortable with their new rulers, as they have never been their own country before and they revolted against Coldian's occupation, preferring a democratic T&C or a decent Sultan to an independent Azerbaijan. Georgia, however, is ecstatic and wants to declare independence as soon as possible. Armenia has already declared independence and control 75% of the territory they claim (it includes Nakhchivan, Nagoro Karabakh/Artsakh and a bit of eastern Turkey).
