"And if the successors can fall that far, what about the successors of the successors?
"They led us into embarrasement in the Great War. The world laughed at our incompetence and stupidity. But they were not content with merely embarrassing our nation, and led it into a depression the likes of which has never been seen before. Then, and only then, the people of Yatzatz were fed up. Tired of the incompetence, wanting to feel greatness again, they did the only thing they could.
"They assassinated the leader.
"But the government still didn't learn! They tried to fix the problem with democracy, the same thing that had led them into this mess! That only led to two years of complete anarchy. Their chosen leader was so bad, he was assassinated as well! And his son took the throne.
"His son was smart. His son began to fix the problems. But we did not want another cycle. We wanted to break out of the cycle. We wanted to overturn democracy and establish a new empire, one that would never fall.
"And so, with great sadness, we did the only thing we could do. We assassinated the king.
"And now, we can finally forge ahead.
"Gentlemen, General Lenton once said "The reason you capture land is only to capture more." Other nations have learned this lesson, but we, the originators, have not. Let us not fall beside the road again. Gentlemen, join me in following the path of King Yazin I and establishing a Yatzatzian Empire!"
The cheering was so loud, it could be heard throughout Yatzand. The people would join, and an empire would rise.

A suicidal attack on US-controlled Davao leads to seventy-five Mindanaoan casualties to only three Yatzatzian.
Another 75,000 US soldiers arrive in Xi'an, replacing the 25,000 American dead and bolstering the American numbers to 500,000.

The President of Finland has requested that prisoners of war and the fallen from Aland be returned to Finland to either re-join life or be given a proper burial, whichever ends up being the case. Apart from that, we are satisfied with the deal. Aland didn't want to be a part of us, anyway.

The debate room of the building that housed the Gov in exile was heated, with the Minister of Defense Albin Zhukov and the President Aleksander Zawadzki, Albin would say "The government can't survive communism, look at Germany the people are happy under Nationalism, we should follow!" Aleksander would fire back with "No, communism is what will make the nation survive!" The minister of Foreign affairs Bolesław Bierut would interject saying "Well, why don't we put it at a vote of the 10 of us?". They all nod, agreeing to this idea "All in favor of Nationalism?" Albin would ask, 7 hands shot up "In favor of communism?" Aleksander would ask, 3 hands rose. The decision was made, they would become the Nationalist Federation of Northern Poland. They would inform all of the people that had ties with the Gov in exile, New patches would be sewn on Uniforms and new instegas on machines and buildings. They would hope someone recognises them

As American forces continue to push through rough terrain, despite countermeasures employed by the Commune-Asiatic coalition between the PRC and the NPA, a heated debate erupts within members of the Party's interior. The Supremo's aide argued competently against the Supremo.

"The American pigs can maintain their upkeep. We cannot. They've got the technology, and the manpower. We don't stand a chance, I say we withdr--"

"Punyeta, comrade! It is our playing field nonetheless. We shall not step a foot back. We shall fight on. It is our sacred duty, it is dishonor to commit such treason. Instead, I suggest a change of strategy."

The Interior Body looked disconcerted. The Supremo's echoing voice still silenced the chaos sparking amidst the Party.

"Focus on the Ports, mount strong defensives near uphill terrain. We cannot defeat the Americans, but we can slow them down." proclaimed Luis Taruc, whilst glancing at Don Roa of the APRM.

"Field Marshall, I'm sending you back to the Philippines. You must convince the Principalia to mount an offensive against American ports. If we cut-off their Navy from their point of origin, we can turn Shaanxi into a deathtrap for American troops. We must keep the kill count high, keep stalling. Discern your actions well.

Tenyente Zaragoza shall be the acting Field Marshall whilst Mr. Roa is away. Tenyente, rally more support from the outer-rim villages. We MUST not let the Americans step another foot into the Motherland!

Protests continue to riot in NYC. American Isolationists and Communist Party U.S.A members have banded together to form the Save Our Sons (S.O.S) Movement. They aim to promote American Isolationism in the East, citing the atrocities and brutalities foreign envoys have committed. An anonymous pamphlet, "The Proletarian Sentinel", becomes an increasingly popular body within the States. The paper has begun a smear campaign against the acting President of the United States, FDR; whilst heavily criticizing foreign policy.

Riots between opposing fronts become more common, whilst the NYPD crackdown on suspected Communists. The increasing paranoia between the ideologically opposed fronts have created a schism that Roosevelt's reputation begins to suffer from. Bold action would be needed to maintain order, without becoming too nuclear.

After extensive testing, the Suojian Armoured Ordanance Department has stated that the Pkd.3 (K) go into mass production immediately as the Boshiro light tank. As Kurosawa factory lines have prepped for this, full production is set to start in a week or two. Meanwhile, the Lzt.36 has been shown to the government, and they have adapted it as their main infantry rifle.

June 26th, 1936
Violent protests have erupted across the north of Suoji. Thousands of men and women have took to the streets denouncing Japanese rule. The government have responded by sending hundreds of men, accompanied by armour into towns where protests are occurring to suppress them. So far, 121 men and women have died from army interference.

The Brittany-Normandy-Aquitaine rebel leaders surrender to Britain and France, but demand Brittany stay independent as they have major separate cultural ties. Majority of people in Brittany speak Breton, and are Celtic, but France has all access to Breton ports, and Brittany will pay war reps. The peace deal awaits signatures from Britain and France.

July 5th, 1936

The march had been brutal but not as bad as the long march. The men knew the way and they had more support here and the troops weren't diehard nationalists, instead, they were soldiers that were controlled by warlords. The Party knew that in a fight they would most likely win, but to be extra safe the machine guns and supplies were stored in the center. The First Corps was in the front while the remainder of the Fourth plus the Third Corps were guarding the rear.

In many of the soldier's eyes, they saw this a test of courage and their dedication to the people. They would never give up nor will they ever show fear of death and pain in front of the enemy. All the enemy will get will a swift death. They were the champions of the people and they have never nor will they ever forget. Unlike the nationalist and Warlord soldiers, they will never take from the weak and the poor. They will only take from the rich. The Rich will finally know what it was like to be poor, and for these actions, they gained more supporters. They had attracted another 9,000 men and now that brings the number up to 42,350. It wasn't much but it would do. Many were veterans, and as news cam about the battle. Many of the spirits of the men were lifted. Their 10k had killed a 1/5 of a much stronger force. The Americans now had only 425k opposed to 525k from before.

The Fifth Corp was also gaining support. They now acted like a completely separate force from the main army. They had around 10k since they were recruiting from the locals. They now were harassing the enemy. They took out small garrisons, at night by surprise. When they finished they quickly scavenged the dead bodies for weapons, ammo, and food. When they finished they quickly retreated into the woods. They were also now helping the PAS, since they were the only PRC force left in Shaanxi. It was a tactical move made by the high command. The main army will retreat and regain strength while the Fifth Corps now dubbed the "Second Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army".

The High command also had not been idle. They had planned for this scenario for months.The plan was to capture land owned by the Ma Family. While the Ma Family was strong it was not as strong as Nationalist China, and it would make a great foothold. The PRC could and would recruit from the oppressed local populace, and at the same time, they wouldn't be taking lots of casualties.

July 5th, 1936
Mother, Father, I made it through the last battle. I was lucky the person in front of me got shot and I somehow survived that ordeal. The melee was frantic and chaotic. We were hacking and stabbing, some of us even used shovels. The enemy didn't fair well since they didn't expect this and to say the turned and ran was an understatement. During that time we gathered weapons and supplies and then retreated back into our own trenches again but this time we had better weapons. We had found some mortars and some shells for them. We used it to great effect, and soon we have slaughtered the enemy in the thousands, but then again we had to do another charge. The process repeated itself over and over again, but we were running out of men fast so we retreated into the city. For every block and for every house we made them pay dearly, but so did we. During one of the firefights, one of my comrades sacrificed himself by blowing up a grenade and he took down several Americans with that. On the 22nd the commissars were finally given permission to retreat and so we did. That night we sang and said our final goodbyes to dead comrades that fought so hard and the Fifth Corp. It was so sad that our dead comrades never got to see this. I promised myself that day that as long as I live I will find his grace and forever pay tribute to him. On the 31st we finally caught up to the main army and to see them again was so glorious. They were not in rags but in clean uniforms and their flags were flying high and hardly any had bullet holes in them. When we arrived they handed us each a new uniform and some food. It was great to eat real food again. We were each given some rice porridge and one mantou. They would have given us more but it would be stupid and deadly to do so. They promised that we were able to, they would. I and my comrades were treated like heroes and the Fourth Corps was elevated into a near god status, but we still weren't as well known as the First Corps. They were the pride of the Workers' and Peasants' Army. To my surprise, I was transferred there and I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. One thing that a recent nationalist turn coats noticed was that the officers truly cared for their men. The soldier had blisters and was hungry, and to his suprise his commanding officer gave him his rations and helped him with the blisters. Another thing that brought me great joy was that when the news arrived about how much men we killed. The camp broke down into a party and each man was given a ration of meat and rice. I now have to perform one of my daily patrols, so Mother Father I bid you farewell for now.

The War in the Philippine Islands is raging on.

Chiang was notified when Communist Filipino rebels attacked Several KMT Outposts and positions in Southern China and CCP forces attacking Guangzhou.

Communism is now a huge threat, not only in China, but in The Whole world. I must preserve the Idea that Sun Yat-Sen had passed to me, An Aroused, United and Strong China. Democracy is currently struggling in this Situation.

He called the National Revolutio.nary Army(RoC's Nationalist Army) to Send Forces to Guangzhou to help the NRA Garrison forces. and to Destroy Filipino-Chinese Communists in Shaanxi The KMT 1st Army, The NRA's Most elite Army and other Armies and Divisions numbering at 190,000 are sent up North while 310,000-strong KMT-NRA Forces moved to Guangzhou. He knew that the CCP forces marched through shaanxi and some in Guangzhou. to encircle and Destroy Communist forces. and to harden up Nationalist Victory in China.

NRA forces arrived at Guangzhou. they had clashed against Chinese communist rebels in the City. bullets and bombs are penetrating the defenses of the Communists, Allied forces like The United States Army combined with the Nationalists. Nests of Communist Machine gunners, hiding inside the ruins of buildings of the Urban jungle fired at the Advancing NRA Forces, Resulting in Heavy casualties. But they were hit and killed by opposing KMT forces with Towed artilleries and they are equipped with Springfield M1903 rifles and their new M1 Garands that are shared by U.S. Forces currently in Guangzhou.

The Kapitan sees an Agila, with a letter attached to its leg. It flies upon the ship, landing on the arm of the Kapitan.

The Kapitan opens the letter:

The Amerikanos do not. Sail carefully and stealthily, you must not lose the battleship. The Americans will try to get closr to you, but they will all sink. The mines will take care of them. Chase thrm into the woods, where they will be ensnared by our million traps. We have beaten them at the Battlr of Makahambus, and began driving them out fron there on. Wr can do it again. By any means necessary.

The Kapitan never trusted the Don Marban. Always thought he was insane. But he was still better than that weakling Merkado. And he liked Americans less.

Within days, at least 20 ships have been destroyed by mines; and the soldiers that retreated into woods fell into hidden pits and were impaled. Some lived somehow, but had permanent injuries.

1 APRM casualty during these days. A sailor got drunk and went overboard. Nobody knows or cares what happened to him because he was kind of an ass.

708 US casualties. Not due to Bombardment. But like most Filipino victories and the Battle of Makahambus, it was due to carefully set traps.

Davao
Captain Derek, former captain of the captured battleship "The Señor Don", who never really wanted to be part of this war, has been rescued by the Americans in the forest. He gets close to the top commander in Mindanao and they become friends.

House Merkado
Hiding in a carriage, several men in military uniforms came out to see Hidalgo Merkado. The Hidalgo showed them into his house and served them the best tea.

"Now Amerikanos, let's discuss the Don Marban."

OOC: The APRM will soon be split between Don Marban and Don Merkado. House Merkado will attempt to get American suppirt and Don Marban eill continue tonuse military force. Only a Don Velez or a Don Roa can unite them.

The Spanish economy starts to recover as investments by the government starts to yield results. The Government uses the funds to increase military funding and social programs. The Spanish Pharmaceutical company Recombio with a 5 million peseta grant from the government has finally made a breakthrough in the field of medicine. Research into the newly discovered bacteria Benzylpenicillin found that it is very effective against several types of other bacteria and could be used to treat several kinds of illnesses. Recombio hopes that it could begin synthesis and ways to effectively utilize this new drug by 1939.
The Cuerpo Nacional de Policía or national police has created a new police tactical unit called the Grupo Especial de Operaciones or GEO. It is responsible for VIP protection duties, as well as countering and responding to terrorism. Formed in response to possible threats from external or internal sources.The Centro Nacional de Inteligencia which recently managed to secure a 30 million peseta funding can now focus on dealing with threats to the central government. One of it's latest intercepts was a possible threat on Spanish soil. The threat has not been properly identified but was deemed serious enough that it has been advised to keep a look out on.
The Spanish army recently purchased 78 Škoda LT vz.38 from Czechoslovakia and are planning to find ways to up gun its 37mm gun after testing found the gun to be weak against heavily armored targets.
The military is to undergo sever modernization programs,15.6 million pesetas are to be spent training and equipping the military with modern weapons to fight more effectively. Several Units have been issued with the US Tompson submachine gun as their primary weapon with most divisions equipped with the US M1 Garand.
Mechanized and motorized brigades are being formed and other units in the midst of reorganized to fit with the Military's new doctrine.

A stocky latino man in a suit sat opposite him. "They are likely speaking about Franco. But they can't do anything. He practically controls most of the Spanish military."

"Si, Señor- By the way, should I address you as Don, Duke, or Emperor?"

The man smiled. "Señor will do. None of those titles are mine at the moment. Though I wonder why you wentbto Spain first, isn't Mexico closer?"

"The Spanish nobles have always been thebhighest rank-

"Ah señor, that is where you are wrong. I am not Spanish, nowhere close. I am descent of Emperor Moctezuma of the Azteca, si? Is that not why you came to me? Becauae I hold more power than any Hispanic noble other than the King himself?"

"Ah well, si. I trust you can gather the other nobles of Latin America?"

He smiled. "Yes, but I will not submit to the Spanish throne. I have my own to reclaim. And once I do, I promise you, we will rain fire upon America. After, we shall restore the Spanish crown and save your Republic!"

The newly formed Council of 6 met up today. Heads of each of their own department and each welded great political power with their own loyal forces to back them up.
They are the real power of the Spanish government. They met secretly in Madrid Hotel Florida to discuss the reorganization of the military. and a new commander in chief Names was thrown about and the prospective general with the name of Francisco Franco came up, they wanted to reestablish the monarchy as a figurehead, a constitutional monarchy and he looked like the man who could influence it to happen. But reports of intercepts, some believed to may have originated or sent to Franco did not bode well for the Council. He was instead reassigned to the 32nd rifled brigade one of the last units on that were to be reorganized and rearmed at the border near Gibralter. They will conduct an investigation into him soon. but not at the moment as they had bigger fish to fry.

July 7th
The main Andsedian force in China is moving towards Yulin to aid in taking it. They hope to be finally able to end the fighting there. As they march towards Yulin they stop at villages handing out some food and medical equipment. They do this to try and gain the villagers favor so that communist can't continue to recruit. They have also recently been resupplied so they have more than enough supplies to do this.

While the main force moves towards Yulin the secondary Andsedian force remains in Guangzhou. Andsed plans to use the city as a point to fall back to in case the attack fails. Andsed has sent out messages to the other nations fighting the communist in China explaining this plan.

The 2nd Mortisian groups with the other Andsedian forces in Guangzhou to prime its defenses.

Gaetan Ramirez woke up sweaty, he had seen a nightmare. With the rising tension with the USA to the north since the soviets started sending supplies to El Faso, the whole population was stressed. There was also that the US had a much bigger and technologically advanced military and all the news of a very big war. War was the only thing on people's minds. Gaetan had been planning the best way of striking the US. He still hadn't found the best plan. He went back to work. He also had a speech next week.

BATTLE OF NANTES COMMENCES! BNA OUTNUMBERED 24 TO 1!

Amuaplyean soldiers in Nantes, approximately 3 hours after this photo was taken, the Battle of Nantes commenced.

After an arduous 2 day journey, the cat has cornered the mouse in Nantes, leading to a battle that started yesterday.

Casualties are unknown, but it's said to be in hundreds or thousands.

A reporter who went along with the 100,000 interviewed a citizen of Nantes during the battle.

Here's a transcript, quickly jotted down by the reporter, which was sent to us by telegraph:

R- Reporter
C- Citizen

R: What were you doing when the battle started?

C: I was listening to the radio. All of a sudden, I heard marching. I thought nothing of it. There was always marching. Then there was gunfire. Loud, piercing gunfire that made my ears ring. There was a couple explosions, I believe were caused by grenades. The explosions and gunfire destroyed the window near my front door, and there were sirens in the distance.

R: What did you do after that?

C: I went upstairs to see what happened. There was a battle being fought. I could see a red river flowing through a nearby alleyway, and smoke from gunfire.

(At this moment, an explosion rocked the building, probably from nearby. I almost fell over.)

R: Do you think we should leave? It seems to get dangerous here.

C: Yes, I believe so. This building could come down at any second. I don't know if it was inside here or anywhere else.

Valderov Romani: These Westerners seek to extend their empires east into the communist nations of the world. I will not stand back and watch my new nation fall at the hands of these Swine! We must form a mighty peoples army and defend our motherland but also assist are comrades being assaulted by these aggressors. We shall show the world the mighty iron fist of the soviet peoples and despell any thought of attempting to assimilate us into their capitalist slave states! I am Initiating a draft immediately and I know many of you will already be lining up at the recruiting stations before i finish this speech! We must work hard to crush the western war machine under our peoples feet!

The radio goes back to normal programming after a closure with the anthem. Many men and women are already lining up at the recruiting stations and some are organizing to think tank more ways to support the new war effort such as weapon and machine manufacturing, war bonds, and scrapping. A freshly printed poster shows blue blood bleeding out of a crushed tank in a red fist; the poster says "Crush the Western Machine". Soviet Boltoria is within full swing for the war within a week.

The radio goes back to normal programming after a closure with the anthem. Many men and women are already lining up at the recruiting stations and some are organizing to think tank more ways to support the new war effort such as weapon and machine manufacturing, war bonds, and scrapping. A freshly printed poster shows blue blood bleeding out of a crushed tank in a red fist; the poster says "Crush the Western Machine". Soviet Boltoria is within full swing for the war within a week.

Learning of Soviet Boltoria plans to enter the war Grant Shalka sends their leader Valderov Romani a message saying.

We understand you plan to enter the war in China to assist your allies and your ideals. While I do disagree with you on many things I must say it is very noble of you to assist your allies in their time of need. It certainly shows you as a better ally then the USSR.

Because of this I must advise you to not throw away your peoples lives in vain. If you enter the war you will be facing the United States and multiple other powerful nations. This will result in you losing thousands of your soldiers in a fight that is almost over. It might be in your nations best interest to not pursue this course of action.

July 9th 1936

Many citizens flee homes and are outraged with the French and British for not accepting peace with the B-N-A, and that their homes were destroyed. The battle rages on as B-N-A fights hard, but continue to be outnumbered tremendously. The battle is predicted to continue but die down by the end of July as battling takes place in many spots around Nantes and B-N-A territories in the general area.

The Polish didn't have enough trainers to train a full military force so they formed the Polish National Militia, and started training for 30,000 PNM militia, armed with Kar98k rifles and anything they could spare, the Polish Sea Volunteers would be formed for the navy, and 10,000 Sailors would start being trained, and The Polish Air Volunteers would train 1,000 pilots, most that flew previously in civilian aircraft. They would send 3 cargo ships to carry troops to the uninhabited islands. They would set up shop there, moving everything there and creating makeshift runways and docks, with some being positioned on small uninhabited Polish islands before the Warsaw crisis, as these islands didn't matter to the Polish government, they thought they wouldn't care about islands 10 miles long.

Approximately 123 wounded soldiers,23 hospital staff, and 33 other patients (mostly women and children) were killed in a shocking attack on a makeshift hospital for soldiers and civillians wounded in the bloody Battle of Nantes.

According to eyewitness accounts, the BNA surrounded the building yesterday, locked all exit doors, and set the building ablaze.

We are sad to say that nobody survived.
