Pay raises are granted on an annual basis, typically around March 30th. In order to efficiently process your potential raise, employees are evaluated on the following attributes: work conducted, work ethic, current pay, current pay of management, friendliness, union activity, and employee reviews from your customers, fellow employees, and managers. Your request for a pay raise has been received, and will be duly processed when said annual pay review occurs.

Doing the math, S.U.S ended up with 16,521 stashed goods, more than 10% of the overall total. Souls'd better be giving us some extra ballpit time as a reward,,,

Some other facts about S.U.S. performance.

In terms of areas we led the market in, here are the categories we had the largest lead in when the markets closed

Electronics
#1: Suspicious - 1616 (852)
#2: Refugia - 764 (6)

Coffee Beans
#1: Suspicious - 1251 (524)
#2: Teremara - 727 (27)

Gas Centrifuges
#1: Suspicious - 1227 (492)
#2: The North Pacific - 735 (257)

In terms of the lead being close, Gold Bullion stands out as our worst, it's lead being the only one under 200. Here's our lowest leads

Gold Bullion
#1: Suspicious - 1545 (195)
#2: Liberty Democratic Alliance - 1350 (402)

Tractor Parts
#1: Suspicious - 1275 (230)
#2: Sunset Shimmer - 1045 (370)

Kittens
#1: Suspicious - 1509 (254)
#2: Pony Lands - 1255 (344)

And finally, the resource we have the most stored away
Uranium
#1: Suspicious - 2232 (295)
#2: Democritus - 1937 (1133)

Overall at market close, S.U.S. dominated every category with leads healthily over 100 units.

Thank you, thank you.

And another congrats from us to y’all (especially those not in the discord server). It was a hell of a fight and we had a lot of fun. We’ll get y’all next time :p

Edit: Also have our own thread that y’all are more than welcome to be apart of. Currently it’s just most of the active people in Democritus celebrating with references to regional meme lore. But feel free to post nonetheless. And once again on behalf of everyone in Democritus, Thank you everyone in S.U.S. for the incredible Uranium Race. I know we all had loads of fun and I hope all of y’all did as well.

Goods Breakdowns

Postby Vleerian » Sat Apr 02, 2022 4:33 pm

In the news post, Max notes
During the Fair, 21,616 nations stashed 164,746 goods in 1,913 regions.

To give an idea of what that looks like, here are the top 25 nations by total goods stashed compared against the rest of the game
Image

He also notes
The Fair ended with nations holding 236,616 goods, which is quite a lot more than were stashed in regions. The most goods held by a single nation at that point was 336.

So for fun, I totalled up all the unstashed goods, and goods stashed by regions outside the top 25
Image

I'm not sure what there is in terms of insights to be made from these, other than that the S.U.S. slice of the first graph is just as impressive as one would expect.

Suspicious United Smuggling: At Least We Stole the Show

So - it's over. Others have cited the records, the states, the charts. I'll leave that to them. What I'd like to do is thank the people. Our whole server of 54 people, and perhaps 20-odd members in specific who were quite active, really did steal the show. They put in the hours, did the math, and won the day. Aav was on top of strategy from the first second. Mira figured out new nuances to optimize farming. Vleerian was the best attack dog a man could ask for. Avakael and his browser containers won the nights, while Americans slept, and revolutionized our strategy (and drew accusations of botting, lol). Rigel and I messed around endlessly on Avatar Kyoshi, trying to figure out if there was some easter egg to build nukes by hitting 100 uranium+centrifuges, or destroying loads of uranium. Salem was always willing to take on a special project to shore up a specific resource. I haven't even named half of the people who contributed. Lucklife and Durm while I slept, Kawaii and Lynxi, Devi's and Thorn's versatility, Res and Rax, Koth's golden efforts, Venico's obsession with Uranium, Cretox and Brony's donations, Wasc and Advait, Zeo's sleeplessness.... I am sure I am missing some still!!!!

The people and the sweat is what won the day, and beat TNP's inertial roll. That said, I also need to shout out some of our opponents - Sunset Shimmer kept our Tractors on their toes and had a solid second on Labels (which were a bitch to stash). Lower Kingdom came out so strong on Shipping Containers that, save Ava's efforts, we once believed their 300-container-lead was nigh impossible to surmount (and Segmentum Tempestus made a valiant late-game effort to catch up). Liberty Democratic Alliance did their best to catch up on gold. Spiritus, of course, went hard on taters, and gave us a good run for our money in the earlier part of the event. Pony Lands fought hard on Kittens. Refugia was matching us 1:1 on electronics for quite a while. And last, but perhaps most notably, Democritus fought us tooth and nail on Uranium, even briefly stealing the late-game lead before we gave up on making nukes and drained Kyoshi. You each deserve credit - you fought hard and long, we just fought harder and longer. Fair fights, all of them. Kudos.

This was really a load of fun. The VC's, the long hours, the logos and discoveries and puns. I appreciate everyone's efforts, and am glad you all participated, even if I missed you in my named shoutouts above. Thank you to both all the regions and all the individual old friends who participated. It really makes me chuffed to see S.U.S. ending the game ahead in all categories - especially when my stretch goal early on was even just reaching #1 in all categories just long enough to take a screenshot. I wasn't even around all day today due to IRL volunteering, and you carried everything home. <3 I appreciate you all, and am glad to call you friends.

Good job to all participants, and see you next year...unless it's a boring repeat ;P

I wonder if this follows pareto principle.

So 80% of goods are owned by 20% of the regions. 1913 regions means 382 regions for the top 20% of regions.

Given the fact the the vast majority of the world population resides in the top 382 regions, I’d assume it would be much more like 99 - 1

Sadly unless we get a data dump of regions and their stashes, I can't check that anymore. There were a few things I wanted to look into, and I also suspect that a region or two that could have been top25 overall was missed due to falling below top25 in each individual category.

This actually was the case with World of Beetles which CoCoCo didn't catch since they seem to only have used data on the top25 lists, instead of aggregating the region stashes individually.

Despite having built the tools ease the pains of processing the region stash data, collecting one region at a time was quite tedious, so I didn't venture much further than trying my best to determine the top25 overall
