Minoa’s stash of headlines, item descriptions, etc.

No refunds? I’ll show them no refunds…

Here is a UI data dump of all the headlines, item descriptions and other stuff that I came across. Because we need a permanent record of the event.

Basically that is all I can do if I can't farm more than the initial 15 boxes of stuff or have enough time to steal more than one of everything for Funen, while wrestling with the Web Archive snapshot system. So instead I will stash the UI strings.

Action results

It has been reported that WA Members get four types of goods. I cannot confirm this because I have no WA nation.

Welcome to the Trade Fair, The [Title] of [Nation]! You have been allocated [1+] [Units] of [Goods] and [1+] [Units] of [Goods]!

Your inspectors find goods! But it turns out, they actually discovered Tractor Parts, which look very similar to Gas Centrifuges. Somewhat embarrassed, they return empty-handed.

Destroyed a Gas Centrifuge.
Destroyed a Shipping Container.

Shipping failed: The [Title] of [Nation] is not participating in the Global Trade Fair.
Stashing failed: The [Title] of [Nation] is not participating in the Global Trade Fair.
Unable to locate target nation to inspect.

I do not know if this is a red or green error, but Tinhampton reports the following error messages when you try to inspect your own goods, or ship goods to yourself:

Inspecting yourself? Good thinking. The greatest threats come from within. But all seems well... for now.
You cannot ship goods to yourself.

Intervals (times approximate until confirmed by a techie or something)

  • Time between actions: 20 seconds
  • Time between leaving and rejoining the Trade Fair: 2 minutes

Item descriptions (and packaging type)

Tractor Parts (Crates, item ID 3)
Tractors, but in parts. To the untrained eye, may resemble gas centrifuges.

It's a box. There are kittens inside. You can play with them, if you want. And you do. Oh, yes, you do.

Humanitarian Potatoes (Sacks, item ID 5)
Hungry people need protein. And starch. That's what you get from humanitarian potatoes.

Inspector Uniforms (Crates, item ID 6)

You were never really sure what bullion was before. Bars? Lumps? Slabs? Now you know. Now you wonder how you ever thought it could be anything else.

Sticky Labels (Rolls, item ID 11)

Question for players: so far I know that when you first join the Trade Fair, you get 15 units of two types of items. I do not know if there is a minimum and maximum ratio (is it 1-14 or 5-15 or something else?).

I'm pretty sure I started with 4 types of goods- Centrifuges, Coffee, Shipping Containers, and a crate of Inspector Uniforms. I don't remember how many of each beyond the uniforms, but this was within, oh, the first 10 minutes of the event. Could have been some tweak later on.

I always got two types of items. The amount was anywhere from 1-15. I believe the least starting total I had was 3 (2 of one item and 1 of the other) and the most was 30 (15 of each item).

I started off with at least 4 types of goods - I think uranium, potatoes, centrifuge, shipping containers, and sticky labels. I remember being surprised that none of my other puppets had as much variety. Might be because of delegacy?

I mean, are there any changes from the default below, as in that the text acknowledges WA membership?

Being in the WA when joining the fair = huge increase in goods gained. Proven.

I mean, are there any changes from the default below, as in that the text acknowledges WA membership?

I don't recall any such change offhand, but obviously I can't check now (Delegate, and the event is over now anyway).
Nation May also be called Ebsas Shomad.

There's one more piece of text that hasn't been recorded here, and that I didn't think to write down- an error message for what you get if you accidentally attempt to inspect your own nation. But I can paraphrase it pretty closely;
Code: Select all
Ah, inspecting yourself? You find nothing, but good thinking. The most dangerous enemies are within...

That was my fault for not considering such a possibility. There then must be a variant for a nation trying to ship goods to themselves. :(

I made a note on that in the OP.

The self-investigation message:
Inspecting yourself? Good thinking. The greatest threats come from within. But all seems well... for now.

The self-shipping message:
You cannot ship goods to yourself.

Both of these messages were documented by Jutsa in the early hours of the event.

Thanks, and do they both trigger a waiting period, or do they both have no time penalty (as it happened when trying an action with a nation who is not in the Trade Fair)?

You're also missing the messages for reduced cooldowns based on possessed goods (like having Inspector Uniforms allows you to complete inspections faster, etc.). Unfortunately, I didn't save most of these (and there were some actions I never performed anyway).

I know. There is only so many actions I could think in time to try out. It can be argued that it was very hard to keep the inventory intact without being hounded by inspectors almost immediately.

Well, you'd only need one item of each type to test this, and not even all at the same time.
