It looks to be a very knowledge oriented event.

Could the default be not to get questions we've answered correctly before, if there are still new questions out there?

This is... really hard! Working on the issues quizzes since I actually know some of the answers, but all the other topics are complete guesswork for me!

I would say this is not just about testing your existing knowledge, but also sort of a scavenger hunt. Nearly all of the answers can be found somewhere on the site!

Well, quite a surprise from me. It's really hard, and most of it seems like it's asking about things from 2000s. This is where I suffered a lot, given my relatively new status as Nov 2015.

And yep, I totally found out the Site Supporter price by checking the price, and the GHR question by perhaps checking the GHR request I did. The answer for the GHR was wrong though.

The beauty of it is, you can find all the answers on NationStates or offsite forums - at least for Newcomer level, and at the moment. I don't happen to know how difficulty increases at this rate.

Discord is an online chat, and it's just for more convenience in general.

Containment vessel, mainly. Otherwise we'd have threads about it cluttering up all the forums. This way discussion is centralized and has better control with regards to answer spoilers. Compared to some of our previous events (WA elections, looking at your event forum specifically), this one is expected to be fairly chill and low-key though.
