Question about market value

Postby Il Sonno della Ragione Genera Mostri » Tue Sep 06, 2022 5:27 am

Hello.
I go straight to my question: what precisely affects the market value of a card? I thought it was the mean of the bids in the card history.

Today I bought this card:

https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... 3/season=1

It was sold just once before, in the end of 2017, for 0.30 bank price. And of course the Market Value of the card was 0.30 bank.
Then I bought it for 0.49 bank, so I guessed the Market Value should increase a bit: 0.30+0.49 = 0.79 / 2 = 0.39 bank.

Once the countdown has ended and I regulary payed 0.49, the Market Value istantly dropped to 0.01.

WHY THAT ?

The MV is estimated at the median of the last five regular trades of a card; your card only has had two trades in history, so price is going down to JV. But I´d say, you have no reason to worry about, as you have got a series one, two owners only card for a very humane price...

As far as I know it's the average of the last 10 trades that are not selftrades.

It starts at 5 trades, and then 10 once the trades counter reaches and records that number of trades.
I exist, and so do you.
