At first I thought it was going to be another puppet rant but I actually like some of the ideas your putting out.

I like the idea of not being able to buy and sell in the same auction (but this could be worked around with puppets very easily)

I don’t think an our right ban scripts or puppets is the answer either, it’s more of a bandaid fix that a doesn’t address the why. If they were not as useful in card farming you’d see a decrease in use and a more fair game. Moving away from issues is the best way I’ve seen to lighten the load. We could go full loot box with a random timer and a button that has a chance to open a pack of cards. However that’s not ideal either.

They should issue each nation it's own S3 card to restore hope. One would think they should have the formatting/template for the S3 card by now.

I think the bigger thing is they want to make sure that some of the issues are handled to make sure that the cards mini game can stay around long term and not be a old people party on the leaderboard.

Easy fix for that - get rid of the leader board.

Instead of issues, another idea is that you can "buy" packs for say 1.00 bank. Give everyone .05 bank per hour, but make it that it stops counting after 24 hours if not collected (So you need to log in and collect at least once a day, or your .05 per hour will stop at 1.2bank a day). In theory that will allow each person to make enough bank to buy a pack of cards a day. If you are over deck capacity you don't get the .05 per hour
If people don't want to buy cards well they can just keep banking the bank and use that money in auctions/to buy deck space.
Maybe have a "card shop" where you can buy a pack of cards for 1.00 bank, 3 packs for 2 bank, 5 packs for 3 bank etc... Thus some could try work out if it the gamble of buying packs of cards and potentially pulling cards worth more than the bank spent is better than trying to buy/sell on auction etc...


Another thing to consider is stopping transfers/trades to accounts that are over deck capacity. Again it may prove to be unpopular but it could liquidate the market a bit if people start selling off cards so that they can trade/open packs in the future - and will make people think more about the collections they wish to keep. Again, having more cards than deck capacity at the moment is an exploit that the game allows so those doing it are not doing anything wrong, but if it was changed, it would force a few people who hoard cards to consider what their collection goals are etc... or they will run the risk of paying for high deck expansions.

Hey... an idea. In the meantime why not release one non-transferable S3 card to each nation specifically of that nation so these players that entered the game after Dec. 2018 can have one card which represents their nation? It might alleviate some discontent.

Could even make it an Easter Egg sort of deal too. Better than getting another banner. It would show they care, whereas now i'm not feeling that so much.

When do you, the people of NationStates.net which was created by the Australian author Max Barry author of Jennifer Government and Syrup which was so far the only Max Barry novel to become a movie and creator of the now defunct NationStates 2, think that new trading cards will be added?

Raise some revenue and pay for the moderation costs of creating them. We pay for telegram stamps do why not a small fee for a card?

Have a 3 month window to "mint" your card but anyone can collect it, trade it or find it just as people can do today.
