People like Noah do things to help everyone when they can easily choose not to. Do you think Noah is only known for the massive giveaway? If you truly believe that, you are wrong. Moreover, other traders attempting to emulate is probably not out of goodwill more than a pathetic effort to simp for clout in the cards community. There are more reasons to do kind things than just to get recognition for it.

I don't see the need to be critical about something like that, especially on the giveaway thread itself. Do we have to question the donor's motives or toss out accusations?

DavanteAdams has given away cards for free, so no one lost anything here… except DavanteAdams themself, out of generosity. I don't see any reason to be unkind to them or to imply some kind of ulterior motive when all they're doing is something nice.

Indeed there is, Ron. It's also possible they've found the card game to be addictive for them personally and it has interfered with their real world lives. An example is sleep deprivation from being up all day and night playing the eternal never ending card game. The "elite card playing community" may not want to confront the issue but I will. My explanation is a conceivable one for these two giveaways and also for many other players just quitting the game outright.

I do agree, I was a bit harsh on DavanteAdams and for that I apologize, but for a cards player who claims to quit cards, yet openly be active on the market and interfere in my auctions, I don't think that looks a lot like 'quitting' cards, especially when it was an inflated common Davante was sharking after. This is the aspect of Davante's 'quitting' I question, to what end can you claim something and go against that? I have no problem with Davante Sharking commons, but I do not respect those who cannot hold their word. This is why I, along with others it seems, believe that this is a publicity stunt. It is an honorable endeavor to give cards away.

(To those who are wondering why im doing this, it is quite similar to what Nixonion said. Except that it is because of my grades. Yeah. Uhh Im a freshman in High School and my grades had dropped significantly, they ARE getting better, but this is why i stopped. Because I knew that if I gave away my cards I would have no desire to start over if I had no more.)
