Rewriting Communist Manifesto, but for trading cards

A spectre is haunting the card-trading minigame— the spectre of communism. All the card-farmers of the forums have entered into an autoscripted alliance to exorcise this spectre: Noah and Koem Kab, Mikeswill and Giovanniland, XKI Cards Co-op Radicals and Frisbeeterian police-spies.

Where is the card-trader in opposition that has not been decried as communistic by its opponents in power? Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of communism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?

Two things result from this fact:

I. Communism is already acknowledged by all card-trading powers to be itself a power, and,

II. It is high time that Communists should openly, in the face of the whole forums, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Communism with a manifesto of the party itself.

To this end, Communists of various nationalities have assembled in the Selling Cards for Cheap forum and sketched the following manifesto, to be published in the English, French, German, Italian, Flemish and API languages.

The history of all hitherto existing card-trading is the history of class struggles.

Card farmer and receiver of cards, provider and buyer, scammers and scammed, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of the card-trading culture at large, or in the common ruin of the contending bidders.

In the earlier epochs of history, we find almost everywhere a complicated arrangement of society into various orders, a manifold gradation of social rank. In Ancient Nationstates we have the farmers, the serfs, the card farm masters, in the Later Era, card farming armies, the forgotten accounts, the legendary cards, scripters; in almost all of these classes, again, subordinate gradations.

The modern bank accumulating society that has sprouted from the ruins of Later Era card-trading game society has not done away with class antagonisms. It has but established new classes, new conditions of oppression, new forms of struggle in place of the old ones.

Our epoch, the epoch of the autoscript, possesses, however, this distinct feature: it has simplified class antagonisms. Society as a whole is more and more splitting up into two great hostile camps, into two great classes directly facing each other — Auto-Farmer and Card-Trader.

From the card serfs of the Century-Theme Ages sprang the chartered puppet-farmers of the earliest farming regions. From these farmers the first elements of the autofarmer were developed.

The discovery of API scripting, the publishing of free scripts, opened up fresh ground for the rising autofarmers. The RMB and forum markets, the creation of farming regions, mass-selling to the puppet-masters, the increase in the means of exchange and in commodities generally, gave to trading, to bidding, to gifting, an impulse never before known, and thereby, to the revolutionary element in the tottering manual-farming society, a rapid development.

The Early Nationstates system of manual card farming, in which card pack production was monopolised by small-scale farming guilds, now no longer sufficed for the growing wants of Season 3. The scripting card farm system took its place. The manual card farmers were pushed on one side by the introduction of middle class script users; division of farming between the different farming guilds vanished in the face of division of labour in each individual card farmer's arsenal.

Meantime the markets kept ever growing, the demand ever rising. Even regular scripting no longer sufficed. Thereupon, large scale card farms began to satisfy industrial production. The place of manufacture was taken by the giant, New Era farming; the place of the middle card collectors by their master card farmers, the leaders of the whole farming armies, the modern bourgeois.

Modern industry has established the autofarming market, for which the discovery of autoscripting paved the way. This market has given an immense development to bidding, to trading, to communication by TGs. This development has, in its turn, reacted on the extension of the card market; and in proportion as bidding, trading, telegrams, puppet regions extended, in the same proportion the autofarmer developed, increased its capital, and pushed into the background every class handed down from Season 1.

We see, therefore, how the modern autofarmer is itself the product of a long course of development, of a series of revolutions in the modes of production and of exchange.

Each step in the development of the autofarmer was accompanied by a corresponding political advance of that class. An oppressed puppet under the sway of the manual puppet-farmer, an armed and self-governing association in the card collective(4): here independent urban farming regions (as in Codex Ylvus and Deep Storage); there taxable “card co-ops” of the big farmers (as in XKICC); afterwards, in the period of autofarming proper, serving either the semi-automated or the fully scripted as a counterpoise against the puppet-masters, and, in fact, cornerstone of the great farming regions in general, the autofarmer has at last, since the establishment of Modern Scripts and of documentation, conquered for itself, in the modern representative Art Census, exclusive numerical sway. The executive of the modern census-taker is but a committee for managing the common wealth of the whole class of auto-farmers.

The autofarmers, historically, have played a most revolutionary part.

Well, but the most important conclusion is : the card-farming system bears the signs of its end in itself; it might take a while, but in the end it´s already doomed therefore. All the hard working and suffering proletariat of the card game has to do is showing some endurance and let it all work out - if then there will be chaos or orderly, human and amical co-existence of the members of the proletariat, who can say ? But whatever the fall of the current system will bring, it will be better than the current status quo.

The manual farmer, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all dropping, laundering, idyllic relations. It has pitilessly torn asunder the motley tactics that bound puppets to its “natural superiors”, and has left remaining no other nexus between puppet and puppet than naked self-interest, than callous “bank payment”. It has drowned the most heavenly ecstasies of manual-farming fervour, of chivalrous enthusiasm, of newbie sentimentalism, in the icy water of egotistical calculation. It has resolved personal worth into market exchange value, and in place of the numberless indefeasible chartered freedoms, has set up that single, unconscionable freedom — Free Trade. In one word, for exploitation, veiled by heists and political illusions, it has substituted naked, shameless, direct, brutal exploitation.

The manual farmer has stripped of its halo every occupation hitherto honoured and looked up to with reverent awe. It has converted the robber, the scammer, the dropper, the gifter, the man of trades and farms, into its paid wage labourers.

The manual farmer has torn away from the family its sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation to a mere bank relation.

The manual farmer has disclosed how it came to pass that the brutal display of vigour in the First Season, which heisters so much admire, found its fitting complement in the most slothful indolence. It has been the first to show what puppet’s activity can bring about. It has accomplished wonders far surpassing Helawan museums, Minoan Gardens, and Xorien cathedrals; it has conducted expeditions that put in the shade all former powerhouses of farming and pull events.

The cardfarmer-bourgeoisie cannot exist without constantly revolutionising the instruments of card production, and thereby the relations of card production, and with them the whole relations of nationstates society. Cardfarming in the old modes of production in the primitive form, was, on the contrary, the first condition of existence for all earlier cardfarming classes. Constant revolutionising of card production, uninterrupted disturbance of all trading cards conditions, everlasting uncertainty and agitation distinguish the cardfarmer-bourgeois epoch from all earlier ones.

All fixed, fast-frozen modes of card production, with their train of primitive and venerable methods and ways of card production, are swept away, all new-formed ones become antiquated before they can ossify. All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and users and players are at last compelled to face with sober senses the real conditions of card trading, and their relations with their own kind.

The need of constantly expanding card decks for its commodity trading of trading cards chases the cardfarmer-bourgeoisie over the entire space of the nationstates community. It must trade everywhere, commodify everywhere and spread cardfarming-imperialism through its colonial-cardfarming-puppets everywhere.

The manual card farmer has through its exploitation of the world market given a cosmopolitan character to selling and buying in every country. To the great chagrin of Reactionists, it has drawn from under the feet of farms the national ground on which it stood. All old-established national farms have been destroyed or are daily being destroyed. They are dislodged by new farms, whose introduction becomes a life and death question for all civilised nations, by puppets that no longer work up indigenous raw material, but raw material drawn from the remotest zones; puppets whose products are consumed, not only at home, but in every quarter of the globe. In place of the old wants, satisfied by the production of the card farming empire, we find new wants, requiring for their satisfaction the products of distant puppets and climes. In place of the old local and national seclusion and self-sufficiency, we have intercourse in every direction, universal inter-dependence of nations. And as in material, so also in intellectual production. The intellectual creations of individual nations become common property. National one-sidedness and narrow-mindedness become more and more impossible, and from the numerous national and local literatures, there arises a world literature.

The card farming movement, by the rapid improvement of farming scripts, by the immensely convenient means of the telegram, draws all, even the most casual players into card-farming civilisation. The cheap prices of common and uncommon cards are the heavy artillery with which it batters down all opposition and forum players, with which it forces the NSG and Forum 7 user's intensely obstinate hatred of card games to capitulate. It compels all nations, under threat of CTE, to adopt the new era's mode of production; it compels them to introduce what it calls civilisation into their midst, i.e., to become card farmers themselves. In one word, it creates a world after its own image.

The card farmers manual and automatic have subjected the smallest card collectors to the will of the larger ones. It has created enormous bank, has greatly increased the value of the less common cards, and has thus rescued a considerable part of the population from the idiocy of not owning cards. Just as it has made the smallest card collectors dependent on the larger ones, so it has made the medium sized and manual farmers dependent on the civilised ones, nations of the last era of farming on this era of farming, the human against the script.

The cardfarmer-bourgeoisie keeps more and more doing away with the disparate states of card production, of the means of card trading, and of card property. It has agglomerated imperialist-colonialist cardfarmer puppet nations, centralised the means of card production, and has concentrated cards in a few hands. The necessary consequence of this was cardfarming centralization. Disparate or scattered means of card production, with separate independent nations, users, traders, bidders, askers, and auctions became lumped together into one regional cardfarming-bourgeoisie, with one cardfamer-bourgouisie administration, one cardfarming events, one regional cardfarmer-bourgouisie interest, one etiquette of card trading and one group of the richest cardfarmer-bourgouisie.

The cardfarmer-bourgouisie, during its rule of scarce two years, has created more massive and more colossal means of card production than the first petty-bourgouisie cardfarmers in the very first season. Subjection of the code and computer programming resources to the cardfarmer-bourgouisie, development of programs, knowledge of trading strategy, regional programs, guides, colonialist-imperialist cardfarming puppet nations, etiquette, pull events, Discord servers and general cardfarmer class intercourse - what earlier years or months had even a presentiment that such productive forces of card production slumbered in the lap of NS website-wide cardfarmer-bourgouisie class intercourse?

We see then: the means of card discovery and exchange, on whose foundation the automated cardfamer-bourgeoisie built itself up, were generated in early card farming society before advent of automation and programs. At a certain stage in the development of these means of discovery and of exchange, the conditions under which early card farming society (manual card farming society) discovered and exchanged, the manual card farming society's organisation of card discovery, card trading, and card selling in one word, the manual card farming relations of property became no longer compatible with the already developed and new automated card farming programes; they became so many fetters. They had to be DEAT; they were DEAT.

Into their place stepped automation, accompanied by gameplay customs and ideals adapted in it, and the trading and forum influencing sway of the automated cardfarmer-bourgeois class.
