The EPIC Cardlympics Open To ALL! #9
Posted: Mon Oct 05, 2020 1:53 pmCalling everyone big and small, I don't care if your big farma or a little guy, a scripter, a grifter, or a shifter. This months games are for you!
First the boring stuff like rules and sign up
The rules!
1. No outside influence from nations you own/control is allowed to impact your Olympic puppets
This means you can not gift in to them (you can gift out if you would like)
This means no buying or selling from nations you control
This means no hosting pull events with your main for your puppets (you CAN hold a pull event with ONLY the cards on your olympic puppets bank/cards)
This means you can not "block" bids, with a non-Olympic nation, you are more then welcome to bid on everything that another player has bid on with ONLY your Olympic puppets.
This means no bank transfers in.
This list is not fully inclusive but rather a list of some examples of what is against the rules.
2. No asks for more than 30 bank.
The logic behind this rule is to limit the amount of luck involved in winning and rather be testing players skills at using non standard ways to make more bank, such as flipping cards, finding the best market, and getting more creative then just opening packs and junking cards.
If a card is being sold at 30 and someone up bids it past 30 that is okay but remember you can not use outside nations to up the price. (you can use your own puppets however if they have the bank but you can not set an ask above 30)
If you get a really good legendary card that you do not want to sell because it is way above 30 hold on to it till after the games or gift it out.
3. Good sportsmanship
This is key, in the past we have had some issues with certain players being less than friendly. If a player has a long streak of bad sportsmanship I will issue stronger and stronger punishment ending with being permanently banned from the games.
4. Players can only win 1 category
Well duh because you can only be first you can't be first AND second
Prizes and what are we collecting today!
The winner of the 9th games will be whomever collects the most Epic cards!
And of course what are the games without prizes!
If you have the most Epic cards at the end of the games you will win not 1 not 2 but 3 legendary cards!
Second place sticking to the number theme will get 2 legendary
and third place will get 1 legendary.
of course this would be to normal and when have I EVER been known to be "normal" I say screw being normal, giving away boat loads of legs is WAY better!
The Wild cards!
Presenting a new way to win just by playing!
Depending on how many people sign up for the Cardlympics I will add an additional lottery style prize with every single person who enters and starts the games will have an equal chance to win it.
1-5 players -> one wild card!
6-10 players -> two wild cards!
11-15 -> here is where the fun happens! If we get more then 11 people signed up I will pull all wildcard lottery draws on the 15th AND the end of the month resulting in double the prizes! and of course three wild cards drawn on the 15th AND the end of the month!
16-20 -> four wild cards drawn on the 15th AND the end of the month!
20+ you can do the math but more wild cards!!!
With that the games are on good luck and happy farming. Go write an epic! wait no collect epics that's what I mean!
