Added you and Racoda; the list is now at an impressive amount of 11 collectors. Congrats!

I've just about started my collection, but I've been starting my collection based on the default NS++ mottoes featured in "The Second Coming" by Yeats.

Just for posterity even though I posted it in discord as well: I've also just completed my Season 2 legendary collection! https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=33039

Now to start working on S1. :P

The latest weekly update is here! (well, not really weekly, but...)

Congratulations! I've added your nation name to the list of collectors who have collected all season 2 legendaries.

"The Second Coming"

Added it under the subcategory Humanity & Society! I really like the idea, and I presume there is a ton of nations to collect.

Other changes:
  • added a whole deck themed on black and yellow flags (Sirian Pirates), which I stumbled upon a few days ago and found the concept really interesting;
  • added Riemstagrad's 13th Puppets collection, whose season 2 branch is now completed;
  • replaced Top 10 Card Collectors with a larger top 50 list;

I would like to submit the Updated Catsfern Collection under theme collections. The updated Catsfen collection now contains 232 Catsfern cards 129 copies of season one and 103 copies of season 2, and the collection is being ever expanded.

I'm afraid I'll have to decline, as this ruling on self-collections stands unless a large amount of collectors want them back and have a convincing argument to do so:
Giovanniland wrote:That is correct as of now. When I asked Ponderosa permission to create the 2nd version of this thread, I copied the old collections and there was in fact a self-collection from Catsfern. Then other people managed to collect even more copies of themselves, such as me and Noah. However, I felt that self-collections weren't really interesting or relevant for the people viewing this thread, so they were removed and will stay as such unless a large number of people want them back.

The second weekly update of February is here! Besides checking all collections, here are some noteworthy changes:

  • Riemstagrad has been added to the list of season 2 legendary collectors, which makes them the first nation to completely collect 2 rarities in the same season, namely legendaries and epics. Congrats!
  • Asteria by Vylixan achieved the milestone of 1,000 cards recently, therefore its location has been changed to the Volume Collections.
  • Changed the wording of the OP introduction a bit.
  • Added the newly-created collections Snowflakes by Ice Make and Cards Upon Cards by Authoritaria-Imperia. Congratulations to both!

Thanks for reading. If there's anything to fix or an interesting collection to add, comment below or send me a telegram!

A small correction: I don't think i'm the first one to complete 2 rarities in one season: I know that at least Noah collected Legends and Rares a long while ago, but i am the first one collecting both highest rarities :)

I also completed all "2-shar-cards" of season 2: https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=17269 This should contain all cards with names of only 2 characters long. I don't know if that is good enough to make the collection collection.

First nation, not first player, Noah's rare collection was on another nation than his legendary collection, I have emphasized in the quote below:

If you want to send me any cards, best if you send it to this one, Holland DS6, I just need more bank on this account if I want to upgrade the limit, but I just keep wanting to buy cards worth more, cards I like or cards for a collection that I am working on, I already had a lot of cards in the catagory, so mind as well make it an official collection that I could possibly already complete. I try not to break the rules, so if I do it by accident, please just tell me mods, although it would have to be through the TG only for mods, like Ransium had to due to class region. I didn't really check for spellings, so it may be a little unclear, sorry. :P More in my factbook on card+gifts.
Finally getting my own card soon!

Thanks for spotting those collections! I've added them under Geographical and Objects subcategories, respectively.

What do you exactly mean? I've checked the collections on your nation, none seem unique and/or of general interest enough to earn a place.

That said, I have two collections I plan to submit, though I must admit, I’m not sure they’re impressive enough to be included in here. Either way, I’ll be continuously working to increase them, so no rush including either for now, just need to do another round of bank transfers to afford the bids I’d have to place.

The sky is falling and I don’t know why! is a nuclear destruction themed collection, while Requiem is a death themed collection, filled with cards memorials, evilness, etc.

Using multiple collections, exploring the various aspects of a road trip:

Places to Visit - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28511
How to get there? - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28509
People to Meet - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28513
Accommodations - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28515
Restaurants and Bars - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28510
Refreshment - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=33672
Bad Weather, Hazards, Roadsigns & Emergencies - https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=28514

Does anyone have suggestions on cards to add to these collections?

I'd like to introduce my Tarot Cards of Breaking Bad collection: https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=34512

The cards in the collection spotlight the main characters and reflect on other aspects of the show. Fans of the show will get the significance of most of these cards.
Questions on them are welcome as are any suggestions for further additions to this collection of now more than 100 cards. Enjoy!

I like the collection, though Enewetak's The Atoms Family collection with a similar theme (and a larger size) is already included in the thread.

Those are awesome collection ideas! Especially when they build one big collection when put together. I linked the entire deck in the Humanity & Society subcategory, if that's fine with you, though I don't really have name ideas for the whole set of collections so for now I named it "A Road Trip" - you are free to suggest a better name! I personally don't have any card ideas for the collections right now, but I will keep an eye on cards that fit there when I farm cards.

Nice collection! It's been added to the Entertainment subcategory. Though I don't have any ideas for card additions right now.

Other news:
  • I've made the monthly check of all collections to see if there's any that does not exist anymore, since it's the first Sunday of the month;
  • Replaced the previous USA flags collection (whose owner is now ceased-to-exist) with another by Vylixan, composed only by user uploaded flags hence the smaller size;
  • Added the Swans and Turkish Things collections by Nacoa Dya and Barlyy respectively. Congrats!

Very happy you've enjoyed perusing the collection!

Planning on adding S3 cards when (and if) they become available. They will surely nurture the imagination and more ideas will sprout. ;)

I haven't seen this thread in a while. Anyway, I've decided to start collecting cards. Again (I was Antibuda before). So, I've started a collection of cards with diagonal lines on them, such as my flag. I only have 5 so far, but I started this 5 minutes ago.

That's a cool collection idea! :) Just a thought from a fellow card collector — you could probably get a really striking effect if you made a sub-collection for all the cards with stripes going like / this, lower-left to upper-right (and maybe another for the ones going \ the other way).
