The Collection Collection v2

Hello all! I am Giovanniland, a card collector, and I recently found the older version of this thread by Ponderosa, which hadn't been updated for some time. So I offered to continue this amazing project, keeping the original collections and updating them along with adding even more. Here it is: The Collection Collection v2!

DISCLAIMER: All credit goes to Ponderosa for creating the original thread and allowing me to use the previous code and format. This thread was created with their permission to keep this project updated with the newest collections.

The Collection Collection aims to host general-interest collections only, therefore some collections with personal/utilitarian purposes will not be included here. Examples:
  • Cards of a given rarity that you own (unless you've gathered more than anyone else in a given season)
  • Friends/favorites
  • Regional collections (unless you own the largest one, which will be listed under Volume Collections)
  • Cards for sale
  • Self-collections (see Catsfern's dispatch for a list)
Other notes:
  • I will add separate season collections about the same theme for the the first 3 categories (Rarity, Volume and NationStates). For the other categories, if you own both of them and wish to have both featured, you can simply add the cards to the same collection or submit whichever has more cards.
  • Updates are done every Sunday! On the first Sunday of the month I also go through all existing collections to prune any that does not exist anymore, while the other Sundays are just for new additions.

Rarity Collections: Legendary, Epic, Ultra-Rare, Rare, Uncommon, Common: these are the six card classifications. Sometimes, you may wish to scroll through the entire list of cards, looking for one to catch your eye. These collections strive to make that possible.

Season 1
Every Legendary Card of Season 1 by Koem Kab
Getting all of the 184 legendary cards from Season 1 requires a boatload of cash, an eagle eye on your bids, and a fleet of farm puppets to finance the collection. This feat has also been achieved by other collectors such as Ballotonia, Elegarth, Fauzjhia, Luna Amore, Mikeswill, Noahs Second Country, Refuge Isle, Riemstagrad, Siwale, The Northern Light, The Tampa Bay Rays, The Unified Missourtama States, Vilita, and Witchcraft and Sorcery.
Wop's Epic Collection by Wopruthien
A collection of all 1,832 season 1 Epic cards, and the first non-legendary rarity collection to be completed. This is an epic feat also achieved by Riemstagrad.
Pretty in Purple: Every Ultra-Rare by Karen Matheson (puppet of Refuge Isle)
Refuge is pretty close to the 5,498 Ultra-Rare cards she needs for a complete set, of which 4,657 are already collected!
House of Blues by Mara Jade-Skywalker
This collection holds almost 12,000 Season 1 Rare cards! There are less than a thousand cards left, mostly ex-nations.

Season 2
Complete Season 2 Legendary Collection by Feu de Glace
There are less legendary cards here compared to Season 1, but it's still an extremely hard challenge to gather them all! This was the first complete collection, however Alistia, Ballotonia, Chimes, Dr Hooves, Elegarth, Fauzjhia, Fhaengshia, Grea Kriopia, HumanSanity, Ioavollr, Koem Kab, Laudesia, Mediobogdum, Mikeswill, Minskiev, Noahs Second Country, Numero Capitan, Osheiga, Philville2, Pytong, Racoda, Radicalania, Refuge Isle, Riemstagrad, ROM, Seanat, The Atlae Isles, The Northern Light, The Unified Missourtama States, The United Peoples of Centrism, and Witchcraft and Sorcery have also achieved the feat.

Power to the Purple: Every UR II by An Actual Hurricane (puppet of Refuge Isle)
The sequel to Pretty in Purple is completed, with all 5,045 Season 2 Ultra-Rare cards! It's an ultra-rare sight to see such a big collection.

Uncommon Cards by CartAgRiem 021 (puppet of Riemstagrad)

Common Cards by 9003
9003 is the nation with the most cards in the world, with over 250,000 of those being of common rarity! They hold around eighty percent of all existing common cards.

Special Mentions
Wrong Season by Guaylandia (puppet of The Cosmic Mainframe)
Legendary cards are special for their rarity, but some don't have that prestige in every season. Here is a complete collection of non-legendary cards that had achieved that status in other seasons.

Volume Collections: These collections are recognized for the impressive feat of quantity on top of quantity. In order to make it into this group, you need an extremely large collection united by a single, identical property.

Emojination by OuO
If you're a social media user, you've surely seen emojis. They are everywhere, even in cards!
Geared Up by Authoritaria-Imperia
Gears of all types are here! The owner is geared up to buy even more gear cards.
Paired Pictures by Twinister
This collection houses any card that has a pair of things, be them animals, people or just objects.
Project Car & Other Land Vehicles by Dr Hooves
Many cars and other land vehicles, including those that are named "Projects" for some reason.
Rubber Duckies by Ballotonia
This rubber duck collection will certainly bring childhood memories for some! The love for the collection is so deep that the owner has changed their flag to an animated version for the time-being.
Ships by Incredible Bums
A veritable fleet of ships, both old and new.
Skeleton Closet by Hugo Boss
There's a few big ex-nation collections out there, but this one is a real graveyard.

The Collection Boneyard: This category is dedicated to collections formerly displayed in one of the categories above, but whose owners have ceased-to-exist. Most collections here can, however, be perused as long as the string "/nation=x" is removed from the collection URL (except if the collection was the entire deck).

Celestial Bodies by Antibuda
A rising collection with a hundred cards with the Sun on them.
Hungary-Romania Friendship Collection by Best Friends Forever
If it's got a Hungarian or Romanian flag, the Hungary or Romania names, or even mentions a region of Hungary or Romania, you can find it here.
No Badges by I Hate Badges (puppet of Morover)
Here are cards without even one badge: no founder badge, no easter eggs, not even issue stat badges! Surprisingly, there are over 10,000 nations that fulfill this requirement, and you can find almost 500 of those in the collection.
Not Holland by Card Test (puppet of Holland DS6)
A display of over two hundred flags from the European country of the Netherlands.
Season 1 Delegates by Panpan105
A display of all but one nation that were World Assembly Delegates of their region during the Season 1 snapshot, with a smaller size than its Season 2 counterpart listed above in Volume Collections but still holding a very impressive amount of cards.
Season 1 General Assembly Authors by Auralia
Here's a complete Season 1 collection of every nation that has contributed a resolution to the General Assembly.
Stan by Ssejekistan (puppet of Voxija)
Can you stan this collection of over 300 nations ending in "stan"? I can.
The Endangered Philippine Eagle by Emark
This collection houses cards related to the Asian country of the Philippines.

That's all for now. Post a comment with another unique, interesting collection and I'll be sure to add it!

Thanks for doing this Gio!

I'd like to mention the Second Best Card Collection here as well since it is nearing 1500 cards of various classifications of the number 2.

Thanks for doing this Gio, this is awesome! I was going to mention my gif collection, but I see it's already up there! I'll let you know when I get both seasons in one collection; I'm only one card away now!

I particularly enjoy Ancot's collection of single-color flags, as well as The Soylent Green Party's "You Suck at Cooking" collection.

A good friend of mine made these collections, which admittedly violate one of the criteria for this list, but I think they're impressive enough to warrant inclusion.

From what I see, you only have a Lazarus collection in your deck, and the OP says no regional collections.

Yes, I replaced some collections because the previous one of that theme wasn't the largest or most complete anymore, and GIFs was one of them. I'll update it when you complete both seasons.
Also, I wasn't expecting you'd link my collections, lol :) I didn't include any of them because 1. no regional collections rule, and 2. it would be biased to include mine but not any other. Of course the size factor highlights them (especially the season 2 version), but it's still a tough decision on whether to add or not, and for now, I'm not adding them unless a lot of people agree that it should be there.

Hi! This is really cool, thanks for reviving it!

Anyway, I’ve actually had my own collection of feline friends going on for a while now: Cats! :3

I can’t compete with Feline Masters, and I’m happy to see Alanis Star in on the game too, but just wanted to say I existed!

Thanks and have a nice day!

I think that such an expansive collection could be an exception to the rules here.

I concur - collections of small regions (like mine, lol) aren't worth including, but a collection like yours that's a thousand cards strong, or TNL's version for The North Pacific, has grounds for inclusion.

They are interesting indeed! However, I asked them if it'd be possible to gather all cards in one collection. Like I said in the OP, if anyone can do that instead of having S1 and S2 collections, it would be better.

First of all, I´d like to state, that I´m very glad (and thankful), that the "collection thread" has been continued (especially since my own collection is noticed here  ).
But I couldn´t help, but find some of the noticed collections pretty outdated, as they seem not to have been maintained by their owners for months, thus stagnating; this might be because of the owners running out of space, lost further interest in specific collections, or maybe even decided to stay with "season ones" only. Also some are complete (without any sign for it) or close to this.
Therefore I propose, that these collections should be evaluated by someone (or anyone who likes to announce his own collection) and maybe updated/replaced by bigger/newer ones of the same theme or marked (as some already are) as continued or completed.
I also would like to encourage "theme or other specific collecting players" (and I do know for sure, that there is a whole bunch of them) to announce there collections here (and not to be shy about and wait, if someone else does so), regardless if originally was meant otherwise - because I guess, that otherwise we would miss many interesting and genuine collections (if not someone occasionally stumbles across and find them "showworthy").
And then, I also would like if some of those collectors would renew their postings in the forum and therefore participate more in the open market instead of silently collecting (how should anyone know ?), or relate on private farming or occasional gifts.

Hello! I'm pretty sure I reviewed every collection before posting the thread to update progress. I also removed some that didn't exist anymore, and replaced some who weren't the biggest/most complete in their category anymore. However, if you spot a mistake I left out, feel free to comment here.
I was busy these last days, but I'll double-check soon to see if I missed anything and add the most recent submissions such as yours.
New collections are added by submissions on this thread, but also if I happen to stumble across a collection theme that isn't included yet. If I see a collection that has its theme here already but is bigger than the current one, I'll replace too. I think all of those should stay, even if they're not being updated or are Season 1-only, as long as they're the biggest of that theme. I figure some of these owners don't use the forums a lot, but nevertheless their efforts should be recognized, if they build an unique collection.

Weekly Update!

If you didn't know yet, I'm planning to do a weekly check on all collections, to check if any ceased to exist, and such. Note that I have real life duties so it's not guaranteed, but I'll try to update it as often as possible.
In this update, I revamped the NationStates-themed collection category, adding different seasons to some collections. I also added a few collections that I either randomly found, or were submitted here (the ones below). Note, I'm looking for geographical, real world collections to include, since that category doesn't have that many entries. I'll be searching, but if you know of any large one, feel free to post!

Coffin-Breathe wrote:Small, but unique somehow https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/collection=23087
and from the same person a really pretty one https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... card_vault

Added the second one! The first one was too small and ceased to exist, sadly.

I was thinking on whether to include this or not, but I guess it's interesting enough to get a place in the NS-themed collections.
