Voice of Mod loses Issues Author badge

Postby Ballotonia » Sat Jul 20, 2019 8:05 am

Greetings,

The existing card set for season 1 is not intended to change anymore. However, on rare occasions we do run into something which requires a change. For instance, when a flag which was supposed to have been removed by moderators lives on as the picture on a card. Then the card gets changed as well.

The card 'Voice of Mod' erroneously had been given an Issue Author badge on its card even though the nation never authored an issue. It got there due to technical limitations / a glitch having to do with the issue editing process. And so, that issue author badge has now been removed from the nation AND from the nation's card. No credit should be given where it is not due.

The total number of issue editor cards in season 1 is thus 194, not 195, for those of you who were keeping count.

Darn. I wish I had found out about it sooner. It would be like a rare, misprinted stamp.

The difference being that when we fix it, it fixes ALL copies. When they fixed the print run on the Inverted Jenny stamp, the Postmaster-General didn't send crews of inspectors to the homes of stamp collectors to replace the errant copies.

I know. But it would have been a cool thing to know while it lasted.
