Anyone else noticing patterns and puppets?

It didn't take long for me to run across nations with the same mottos, same demonyms, same unique flags, and/or same name with numbers. Many of these things being strikingly uncanny that they're probably puppets. Anybody else been running across this? Find anything I haven't? I created a collection to show what I mean? I'm actively collecting these. It's kind of interesting.

Ha, I'm glad you posted this. I'd been meaning to post questions about my similar finds since the April event. I would love to hear explanations, or even their owners come forward.

The gaeslan cards, definitely, I've junked probably a hundred of those.

Lilarchy, too...junked so many of them

Those "Vinny" cards I found mildly amusing in the beginning, but now I junk em without a second thought

Those strange moths, often accompanied with the motto: "skin on skin, let the love begin," seem to belong to a controversial raider, Woodhouse

The Worker Councils, SRBT, and those tic-tac-toe cards seem to be commie / antifascist refounds of captured "fascist" regions, from groups like antifa or MT Army

There are also these strange, slightly blurry white palm trees on a light blue background. No clue about them

I've been collecting those "Marionnette Furtive" cards:

https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... triumphant

Don't know their origin, but they seem to live in a raider puppet storage. I like them

You are much more prolific with this than I am :p

I have at least one of those mareonette cards, it's a cool flag, didn't see a pattern.

What about those "Parhasques" nations, that has to be one of the first ones I've noticed.

Ohh yeah, I've only recently become aware of those cards.

I noticed the Chinese characters as the motto, and the good names -- not just gibberish or numbered sequences, they often have real names of places -- and that they're all in the rejected realms. I hadn't noticed the "Parhasques" demonym before.

No clue about them. But that's another mystery I'd love to have solved.

There are also all of the "Benevolent" cards: the aliens, numbered 1,2,3 etc. I was collecting them for a bit, but got rid of them to make room for other collections.

I think it's Korean, it looks blockier than Chinese.

Lots of oddballs with lots of puppets on NationStates :p

Here's another flag design I find all the time:

https://www.nationstates.net/page=deck/ ... 8/season=1

No clue what the design is actually supposed to be...I always think of an electric fan, or a pinwheel

That's actually one of the real-world flags one can pick directly from the nation creation page, namely the flag of the island of Yap, in the Federated States of Micronesia.

No kidding.

Yap adopted a flag on 30 May 1980, designed by John Gilinung. It was first hoisted on 1 March 1981. It's (king's-)blue, and on the centre in a white ring is the stylized silhouette of an indigenous boat with sail hoisted, and a "Rai" or "Fei", the money-stone of the islands, all in white. In the centre is a five-pointed star. The proportions have been variably reported as 3:5 and 37:70.

Had to look that up. Fascinating. Apparently, the symbol is a stylized boat.

Thank you for solving at least one of these mysteries for me.

I've seen a lot of cards with the same flag as this one, I suspect most of them are someone's puppets.

That's a fairly recent puppet collection so no cards. They're talking about puppet groups showing up as cards.

I have been accused several times that, and I laugh every time but apparently every nation with the confederat battle flag, word Dixie or Confederat in the name or anything even slightly relating to the CSA is my pupet. I'm not that stupid my only puppet, well x puppet merica ball is a puppet done right.

The socialist communist states is a less obvious collection of puppets. All his puppets names have nothing in common besides being Japanese/Korean.

Really? you weren't founded that long ago, I didn't even know you existed to place any blame when I open those cards

Well, actually, there is sort of a pattern. Most of my puppets, with the exception of a few, are characters from Haruhi Suzumiya, which I saw for the first time last month.

Anyways, most Pokemon cards do seem to have, what I think, Japanese or Korean mottos.

After seeing the motto so many time,

Do YOU believe the MT army will save Nationstates from hate?

Indoctrination really works!

It's Korean. And if you look, they all share the same animal ... which is an obvious hint as to the puppetmaster, a player known for their vast number of puppets.

I used to have 10 gaeslan cards before I junked them to clear up space.

Another thing is that they're all located in the Rejected Realms, so it might be someone from there.

Well, there are all those cards (mostly containing the word "queen" somewhere) from nations having only two letters in their name, but various flags and located in the region "two letters", which is officially declared to be a "puppet storage"...
