Bidding Etiquette

Postby The Double Wing » Thu Jan 31, 2019 4:44 pm

So yesterday I got rather heated telegrams accusing me of sniping, penny bidding and generally wasting someones time. Are such practices uncouth? I mean if I pop into the trade market and I see a good deal on a card and I throw down a bid at the last second is that frowned upon?

If you drop in within the last minute and do a .1 bid it can be very irritating for the person who went looking for the card. Quite a common occurrence sadly. There's some players who only penny bid.
Happily oblivious to NS Drama and I rarely pay attention beyond 5 minutes

Personally, you can penny bid but after a few tries you should start throwing higher amounts to not un-necessarily extend out the timer. Seeing two penny bidders increase bids by 0.01 in the last second to extend another minute an auction eventually lasts 3 hours is just frustrating to all.

Everyone should have more productive uses of their time. :)

Looked at a legendary card, sellers from 10.00 and up, guy puts down 0.02 bid amidst bids up to 7.00. I'm like, why????

Still trying to figure out the nuances of this card game. It's certainly not ordinary the way people use it.
