I have a question about deck capacity

Postby The Ferret Lands » Sat Dec 22, 2018 11:21 am

So, I currently have about 700 cards in my deck, with a capacity (the default) of 50. Will I lose 650 cards at some point (during an update?), or will it prevent me from getting new cards, or... I don't really want to lose my whole deck, and even if I spent all of my bank upgrading capacity it wouldn't come close to matching. If anyone has any ideas, thanks.

You'll keep all your cards and you can buy new ones with bank. You can't open packs tho unless you free up the space

The cap is too low and it costs way too much to upgrade capacity

Hence if you support NS you get doubled the amount of capacity, which is beneficial in the long run.

I'm kinda annoyed at how expensive it is to upgrade deck capacity. I have 3 new packs of cards that I can't open because I can't afford to upgrade my deck capacity. I've been trying to sell the majority of my cards so I can either upgrade or have enough space in my current capacity to open them, but so far I still can't see what new cards I have. And I'd rather not junk a bunch of old season one cards, especially since ex-nation cards (of which I have a ton) seem to still be pretty valuable.

I agree the card capacity limit is a bit steep. I just burned about 500 cards to get enough funds to hold 300 cards, and I still have 600. It looks like each additional 50 cards costs 1.00 * X^2 bank (best guess about a formula), where X is however many times you will have made an upgrade at that point. So to get to a capacity of 1000, you need to make 19 purchases, which works out to be (19^2 + 18^2 + ... 2^2 + 1) * 1.00 bank, or 2,370.00 bank. However, if you are a site supporter, you only need to make 9 purchases, working out to 285.00 bank, or about 1/10th as much. These are enormous sums of cash that would require the clever sale of hundreds of top value cards to have a chance of ever reaching that size. I understand the need for a sink, but the starting limit of 50 cards is kind of small, and I think collection sizes of 1000+ should be reachable. Also, the site supporter thing feels too much like a pay-to-play situation.

My suggestion is to start everyone out at 100 cards, sell space at half the current rate, and give site supporters an additional 250 cards of space, rather than doubling. This gives newer players an edge early on, while still creating a sink for big collectors, and thus a way to fight inflation. It should be feasible to get up to a capacity of 1000 if you really want, extremely difficult to get up to 2000, and basically impossible to get far past that.

The first purchase to get to 100 deck space 0.50 wasn't bad *then sees it cost 4.00 for 100 more space*

It's bit of a jump and a joke to do that honestly it should go up in .50 each time makes more sense not here u need 4.00 for more space!
