Card Trading Strategy Discussion

Postby VoVoDoCo » Sat Mar 31, 2018 8:07 pm

This is a place to discuss how to best deal cards.

This is my strategy.
1. Advertise all my cards in the trading center.
viewtopic.php?t=439412&f=42&view=unread#unread
2. Junk all the common ones
3. Send telegrams to nations who are uncommon or above and letting them know you have their card. Jack up the price. :ugeek:

4. Use accumulated capital to buy your own card, region members card, or your sworn enemy's card.

Do you guys have any strategy?

Junking the common ones seems to be pretty straight forward, I can't see their value ever going up. Using puppets also seems like a viable strategy to open more card packs and generate some bank.

Sit on Region-mate cards and all cards above Common.

Wait until accumulated sufficient capital after a few hours/days.

Sell Region-mate cards at a large mark-up.

Sell Common+ cards to their owners at an even higher mark-up.

1. Junk Commons in general, especially in puppets

2. Use money made by junking in puppets to buy Common cards from my main nation (this one) for more than ten times their worth.

3. Sell any Rare or Above cards to my main nation for 0.01

4. Profit.

This all kinda depends on the end goal of the game I think.

Except that currently there is none. As of now its completely open ended. I expect that there will be an update in the next few days that will change all of that.

I'm selling most of mine based on their population. For every billion, it's an extra dollar. More if they are active within a couple days.

I’ve been using puppets for farming. I hope it’s not frowned upon.

Assuming newly created/refounded Nations get cards, I’ll make it up to them. I’ll collect all of myselves.

1. Junk all the common ones.

2. Offer set sales for uncommon ones.

3. Find my card, then my region's leaders' cards.

Would jacking up the price of a card make it more rare?

It probably won't affect the game coding or change the actual card's rank, but it could make it harder for other nations to get their hands on it.

Exactly. Don't jack up cards prices, unless it's completely justified.

Looking at DLN's card, we can see that it's already been found twice and sold for .01 two times as well.

Although I wasn't there to see it, I have a hunch that DLN's card was legendary before those trades occurred. Unfortunately it's just a hypothesis at this point.

One thing I'm doing is checking how long it's been since someone logged on. Even if they're common, if they've been on recently I'm holding onto them in hopes that they'll want to buy their own card and I can make the slightest of profit.
