You were hiding your original puppets, and the fact that you had cheated by switching to puppets that had cards and bank on them in the middle of the Olympics.

Except they didn’t have any points before the games

They did have points before you switched to using them.

Since I occasionally take part in the cardlympics I figure I'll chime in.

It's unfair to switch puppets in the middle of the games; even if you didn't start using those puppets until after the games had already started. If people were allowed to switch puppets they could create thirty or forty puppets at the start of the games and then mix and match the ones that had the best luck over the course of the month; which could mean they end up with 10 legendaries to sell rather than someone who used the same 10 puppets all month and thus had a lesser chance of just getting lucky.

The games are supposed to be about the skill of farming, of knowing where to find a market for your cards to make the most bank and not just how lucky you are when opening packs.

But that's just my .02 bank, and people are free to ignore if they'd like.

I say put it in thee rules

But still 9003 saying my intent was to cheat was incorrect, I had no intentions of causing trouble

The puppet ItsMeMomo4 had almost 200 bank when you switched it, surely you didn't cheat... but any way 9003's message states he doesn't wish for this thread to be cluttered up so I'd say we all stop for now (emphasis mine):

If you choose to play again in the games please do so with genuine interest and not malicious intent or willingness to break the rules. The next step is a permanent ban from the games. If you have an issue with this we can discuss it further via TGs as to not clutter this thread up.

Yeah from selling a bawkie card after the giveaway started

Also he refused to correct the part where he said I joined with the purpose to cheat which I did not

Puts on glasses
Let me quote the rules you so obtusely ignored:
9003 wrote:[…]
The rules!
1. No outside influence from nations you own/control is allowed to impact your Olympic puppets
This means you can not gift in to them (you can gift out if you would like)
This means no buying or selling from nations you control
[…]

2. No asks for more than 30 bank.
The logic behind this rule is to limit the amount of luck involved in winning and rather be testing players skills at using non standard ways to make more bank, such as flipping cards, finding the best market, and getting more creative then just opening packs and junking cards.

3. Good sportsmanship
This is key, in the past we have had some issues with certain players being less than friendly. If a player has a long streak of bad sportsmanship I will issue stronger and stronger punishment ending with being permanently banned from the games.

[…]

(The games end at the start of the last major of the month)
(And starts NOW you may start collecting!)

All emphasis mine.

First of all, it's pretty obvious you designate ten Olympic puppets which will participate in the Olympics until the end. I trust you've understood that much, and will only continue with the chronological order of other violations:

You violated 3. by editing your post from the BloodForTheBloodKing to the ItsMeMomo puppets. This wouldn't matter much if you hadn't farmed either series yet (but why would you switch, then?). You could argue that technically, BloodForTheBloodKing series are still the puppets participating (because you signed up with those), but why would you edit your post then? The answer is obvious. This was done to try to switch your Olympic puppets, to gain advantage from:

Violating 2. because you'd sold Bawkie S1 (very cleverly from the same puppet you're posting from now) for 190 bank (or, as you and your puppets like to call it, "points"). Had you put up an ask for 30, as is the limit in the second rule, Bawkie would have had to put up a bid of 410 bank. Before you go on trying to wiggle your way out of this by saying "yes, that was it!!": during the same auction, Bawkie sold 4 copies of that card for exactly 190 each to his puppet. That would mean he too would have had to ask 30 and put up 410 bids, for a total of 5*410 = 2050. I'm sure I could try to calculate if they had that much cash on hand, but I'm sure you already get the point.

Additionally, violating 1. by selling epics from Momoshiki to the edited-in "olympic" puppet line (cough also, to the puppet you're posting from cough). Presumably, because you didn't have bank on your Olympic puppets yet when TCM posted their epics sale thread. Buying them with your main allowed you to prevent other Olympic competitors from buying them (first 1. violation) and to re-sell them to at lower prices to the "olympic" puppets (second 1. violation). This, too, was done while giving a big fat middle finger to rule 3.

Whilst you try to present yourself as forgetful and harmless, it is quite clear from this sequence of events this was premeditated, and that all those shenanigans were done for your personal benefit. Any argument you come up with trying to defend yourself, you subsequently try to avoid any discussion about¹ and prefer to just beat around the bush and go on and on in irrelevant circles. You're not forgetful, you're just failing miserably at trying to conceal your lies and manipulations.

I am honestly surprised 9003 hasn't permanently banned you from future events.

[1]:
a) ⇒ I wasn’t trying to hide who I was
(but you switched puppets)
b) ⇒ how is changing puppets me hiding who I am?
(you're hiding who the puppets you signed up with are to use those with more bank)
c) ⇒ Except they didn’t have any points before the games
(They did have points before you switched to using them.)
d) ⇒ Not before the games started Now, presumably, the plan is to go back to c) ad infinitum

Hello all,

Just to let you know I'm dropping out this month. I have "farm fatigue", a crippling disease where I can't motivate myself to log into puppets and randomly answer issues. ;)

Good luck to you all - it looks like you're all miles ahead of me as Olympians!

Well sorry for you

as for me. I think, I can feel I won't win. (my luck is some kind of trash..)

I'm 5th... and there is no way i can even win this.
also I hate to create solely for farming.

Edit : I am also developping my puppet. namely pizza industry

That's why I have to take a couple months of R & R between bouts of competition. Hope to see you in future games when we've both recovered.

Announcement:

I'm not longer participating in this olympic games. I won't find much time to buy all the cards to compete and i find it a bit hard to play on the epic market independent of my main nation activities.

Good luck to all the remaining competitors!

Could someone explain to me how this works? I am planning on joining in November. Do you make 10 new nations? I am so confused

Make ten new nations and collect as many cards as you can of whatever kind the event calls for

Thanks to everyone for a well played Olympics and to 9003 for the prizes! Although I did indeed pull a crazy high total of five legendaries throughout the month, I also gathered significant amounts of bank by other strategies and that was nice to do (plus, I didn't use two of five legendaries pulled - Drasnia was simply too high to sell, and Gnejs was pulled on the last hours so I didn't need to use the bank).

Animu Place wrote:congrats to Giovanniland for winning

Thanks! You also collected a ton of epics, and even in the end when I held an advantage, I still watched the market to prepare if you had found a valuable card to overcome me in epics. Well played!

Congrats Giovanniland and Animu Place! And thanks 9003 for hosting the games.

I only managed to get one legendary on my Olympic puppets but I made up for it with two Testlandia on my other puppets.

I have a couple of questions about the cardlympics
1. Can we gift/sell/buy throughout/within our puppets?

2. How do you win? Is it whoever has the highest MV of all of their epics?

3. Can we join events/giveaways with our puppets?
