I don't know if it's the best place to put this, and those who have seen my previous forum posts may know I have talked a lot about this, however I am a bit disappointed that NationStates decided to have this new N-Day in February, one year after the start of the Russian Occupation of Ukraine. The anniversary of the start of the war is on the 24th February, N-Day is on the 25th/26th of February, shortly afterwards. I feel like this is very distasteful to the people of Ukraine who have had to deal with this, and it tarnishes the community image of NationStates

I really agree, man. Having this happen the day after the first-year anniversary of the Russo-Ukrainian war is a tarnish to this community.

I hate this too. It only exacerbates the fear/threat of nuclear warfare.

I say we have the NationStates team donate a portion of their funds to Ukraine. Preferably for medical aid, defense, and reconstruction on United24, Volodymir Zelenskyy's official website for Ukrainian donations.

Defend Ukraine. It determines the global balance of democracy and fascism, and fascism will kill us all if Russia conquers this innocent country.

I don't think we should nuke freedom allied nations. On the other hand, dictatorships and/or autocratic regimes in general should be nuked with extreme force.

1. NS literally had to ask the playerbase to fund Eluvatar's dinner after he got the site back online over Christmas. If NS HQ cannot buy their own administrators a nice evening out with the family, what makes you think they can send money to much broader, non-NS-related humanitarian relief efforts in countries with small NS playerbases? (You didn't see any announcements of HQ donations to Turkish earthquake or Australian bushfire appeals, for instance.)

2. If the date of N-Day is objectionable, it can be moved. When N-Day⁵ in September 2020 clashed with Yom Kippur, thus preventing a major faction leader from taking part, [violet] admitted she mistakenly moved that year's start date; Reppy mooted a permanent August date the following year to avoid future conflicts with the observance, although this year's event is scheduled for September 30th.

That is an interesting idea! I've never heard of UNITED24 before, but hopefully I will be able to donate to them. However, I'm not sure if the team will be able to (afterall, we don't really know how financially comfortable they are). If they can though, they should! Salava Ukraini! Слава Україні!
