Lets look at the facts: N-day 2021 was Horrible. HORRIBLE.

A place for governments-in-exile, plucky survivors, unlucky survivors, the horrifically mutated, and other assorted characters to ride out the nuclear hellstorm until it's safe to go outside again.

It'd be more practical to limit factions to 1 nation per person, maybe with only WAs like with the raiding/defending meta. The event would also subtly push more people into the World Assembly this way too.

All you can do to win is either follow the crowd and go to someone’s giant super-faction, or start your own faction in a thread a few days beforehand, and try to get popular.

Hey, uh, ain't nuclear armaggedon horrible too? If anything, this was the most realistic-feeling n-day I've experienced. There's a clear huge winner thanks to puppetry who gets a very hollow victory, and everybody else is eradicated—sounds alot like IRL nuclear war to me. Y'all's anger makes complete sense, but as a puppetry expert and staunch nuclear disarmament supporter, this all feels perfectly in the spirit of the IDTENW.

That wouldn't work since most people don't give a crap about the WA. A better Alternative is Active Nations. Forum, Issues,.Board, ETC

Your second point is filler to me. That's the point of N-Day: people team up, people nuke you. That's how this works.

And no, there definitely was a winner this N-Day. You can't possibly say that the Crabhorses "didn't win". They won it. Was it won "fair and square"? That's questionable. If you look at the current N-Day meta, it was totally fair. The correct question would be "is the current meta fair?" That's up for debate, but in my personal opinion, no. It certainly isn't.

And no, there were no bots. There were only *scripts*. Basically, you press a button on your keyboard and it performs a certain action (such as destroying incoming missiles). Are scripts stupidly annoying? Yes. Were there bots? I don't think so.

Edit: grammar.

The obvious choice for stopping puppet spamming would be making it WA only. However, you just know a lot of people kick up a fuss about that.
Merry Christmas!

Crabs aren't even allowing other factions to fight each other. They block everything.

I had sort of expected myself to break my promise of not participating this year around, but noticing the massively lopsided factions this time around put me right off due to suspicions it'd be an utter bore to behold, and it certainly was. On the bright side, at least that stopped me from going to bed at like 04:30 in the morning again like last year, which I am grateful for.

Blacklight is an isolationist, and notably xenophobic, interstellar corporatocracy.
Its government and society are made up of three massive conglomerates.
They maintain joint control over affairs normal governments would otherwise be concerned with.

Maybe there should be no more events of this kind because things like Discord allow for too much co-ordination off site to the point of being able to just destroy the competitive aspects. As in how does one prevent puppets when they're a core component of raid/defend from being used in mini game events? How does one prevent all the regions from just uniting as one because everyone wants to win?

Was it fun? A bit. I loved waiting for the start of N-day and then trying to nuke BBD and Giovanniland (I failed, you know, they're in CotA, the big puppet spam region). People in the PA discord were pretty hyped and I saw some fellow TRR members. Was it fair? Not really. I feel guilty for making a total of 11 accounts of mine participate, but that's a low number compared to the 1000+ puppets of Crabs. A nice thing to see new buttons and features I've never experienced, but the no-lifers destroy everyone. The thing is, they have some commitment using many alts, that's some login speed-running.

The age of the players isn't as young here anymore if the forum traffic is anything to go by. So you have more complex strategies. I was around during "eternal summer" when kids back then were far more common

Well people under 13 are banned from the forums until they turn 13...

(NS players are still very young. TSP's rmb is hell from kids under 13. I think I heard that a RMB regular said they were 9 but I can't verify that atm)

I doubt that will ever happen. I'm sure the Crabs realized, just as my fellow potatoes realized very quickly, how boring this N-Day was until we decided to go down in a blaze of glory. I'm sure there will be a more competitive battle next year.

Or is it that I'm getting old and the technology of internet speeds and login managers has improved since back when I was first here in 2012. As in I remember my internet and computer back then being abysmally slow in comparison to today's equipment. As in the tablet I use today for baseball mobile games is more potent than the desktop I had 10 years ago.

Indeed. They wouldn't even let me target another faction unaffiliated with them just to stop me from gaining just a little bit of points.
