A lot of numbercrunching to do yet.
Thanks for your interest, Naraba also.
After results are in, I might make a poll on the president.
Possible candidates are:
Roza Kamparano, Authentic Green, current President
Aleksandra Kuiristo, M6I, former President
Ralfo Nadanto, Left Green, Agriculture Minister
Jarrn Silvarr, Conservative, bishop.
The approximate political spectrum from left to right is M6i, Rugha, Left Green, Verda, Residual Green, Authentic Green, Diskordia, and Conservative. Diskordia is a libertarian party, and the middle four parties are all Green. An new issue for this election is the application of the Gay Church for recognition as a mass organisation. Diskordians and IOndependents are more sympathetic to this than ther others.

Maldekstra Verda
"Lasita" means "left" in the sense "left behind". "Maldekstra" and "dekstra" are left and right in the political sense.

Could you give a description of the parties' platforms?

This site stresses me out, so I rarely come on here anymore. I'll try to be civil and respectful towards those I'm debating on here. If you don't extend the same courtesy then I'll probably just ignore you.

All results are now in and the state of the parties is as follows:
Partyseats% voteseats 2009
Movement for 6th International3613.030
Revolutionary Unified General Alliance3513.530
Diskordia3312.433
Left Greens3311.523
Authentic Greens3212.033
Residual Greens3111.131
Verda2511.524
Conservative239.1n.a
Independent165.936

This means that the only possible government is a continuation of the present 5-party coaltion. A right-wing coalition would have only 86 out of 264, a left-wing coalition only 104, and a Green coalition only 121. It has been agreed that the current administration remain until a new government can be formed. However, President Roza Kamparano lost heavily, so there will have to be a new President. Unusually, the likely candidates are all men. They are Ludviko Instruisto of RUGhA, currently Senior Vice-President and Minister of Finance, Ralfo Nadanto of the Left Greens, currently Minister for Agriculture, and Vladimiro Shoforo of Authentic Greens, currently Minister for Education.
There is still some number-crunching to do, because, although the additional members have been allocated to the various parties, who actually takes those seats depends on how many votes they got in their constituencies, not on a party list system.
If the coalition parties cannot agree on a President, the vote will come to the full house. which will be interesting.
(OOC I'm going away for a few days to the RL Esperantujo. More next week, when IO;ll try to include hustings and a poll.)
