Should there be a ban on nuclear tests?

Postby Bergnovinaia » Mon Jul 27, 2009 12:08 pm

Would it in your opinion be good to Ban Nuclear Testing in the WA?

Here's a few of my reasons:

1) A test firing could be percieved as an attack and other nations could fire backing starting a nuclear holocaust.
2) Nuclear bobms have detremental effects on the enviroment no matter where you test fire them. Tests may not harm humans but they could harm animals and plants.

Firstly Bergnovinaia, you might want to double check your posts, and run them through one of the many freely available spell checkers. Poor spelling tends to reflect badly on the poster, and many won't take the post seriously.

Also this more sound like it should go in another forum - perhaps, General, or if you mean it for roleplaying in II. I doubt if many interesting in discussing this will be seeing it in this forum.

You can always ask a mod to move it to the more appropiate forum- by starting a thread in the Moderation Forum.

I'm not really sure that there should be a "band" on nuclear tests. They might die :palm: . Anyway, nuclear tests need to have guidelines, and be monitored, but they shouldn't have a ban placed on them.

In a perfect world we would not need them, but we do not need to test them, chances are they work

:palm: shame on you because this is a weird joke.

Returning on the issue, i think we don't have to ban unapproved nuclear test, but have to do some regulations on this problem.

Seriously what's the point of testing a missile to see if it works. Guess what! If it works you know it works but you dont know about all of the other ones. It's a chance that nations with nukes just have to take.

A strong defense is key to a protection of ones borders. If people respect each other than no need to use them.. Having nukes secures peace through security. Also in Ernestland many medical innovation have come from our intense nuclear program.

Hm... What's the point of this pole anyway. I thought there were no wars in this game. Isn't it pointless to test unusable weapons.

There no ability in Game Play / Game Mechanics for war.

That does not mean that war can not be RPed out. Go take a look at II.

There shouldn't be any ban on nuclear tests or any restrictions placed on them. It's entirely upto each and individual nation to decide on that it's own.

It's a nations sovereign right.

We're not saying that you can't use nukes to defend/attack. We're just saying that nuclear tests are unecessary, are a conerning matter of international security, and could have a negative impact on the enviroment.

Unnecessary? Wouldn't any nation after building their first nuke set it off to make sure it works?

Yes. However, what's keeping a natoin from assuming there isn't a flaw in any other missle?

Both are good points, but as long as we have the right to build and maintain nuclear weapons, we have the right to test them. That's the standpoint of the Imperial Republic.

If you ask me Nuke testing should not be illeagle for it can be usefull in defence. Radation Sickness is just a sideffect than the real Effects. just like atomic testing it can poison an area for centuries. but if matained it can cause no further damage. i have some prototype suits that protect the user from such radation and testing. the problem is is that its only good for Nuke testing not atomic. We had had a soulution for it but it was stolen by a terrorist cult called Three Sticks. The Government has the final decesion not the world!
