Welcome to Solanna. Please retire to two light seconds from the planet surface, for now. We’re doing something that may go horribly wrong and we wouldn’t want to hurt anyone. Specifically, the ship hovering just over those yonder pyramids may start talking in a sinister voice and shooting at everything in orbit at any time.
As for actual things that need doing, a brief list:
- See if you can’t find any bits of Solus’ last vessel. We shot it to bits, but it’s proven very good at informational subversion and there’s a worrying prospect that any bits of battle-debris anyone picks up could do… unpleasant things. See attached notes on speculative design of Solus vessels. There’s a lot of debris from Kajali ships here too (no survivors that I’ve noticed, unfortunately) which is of rather less importance at the moment.
- As soon as we’re done down there, we should probably look closer at those pyramids, and the other ancient structures on Solanna. A full analysis of the materials and design is in order, to see how they compare with ‘modern’ Solus vessels.
- According to the radio reports of my cousin down there, the control systems of this installation were purged before Solus left. That suggests that we might need to work out how to get these things running – certainly there must have been some motive for that. We could definitely do with analysis capacity, we’ll need to work out what some of this stuff actually does, and soon-ish.
If there's anything you need, let me know.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the interior status in the Derivan Generator Pyramid Complex? Specifically, it appears that the Solus-vessels forcibly purged the computers of SGPC. Are the systems of that complex running adequately?

Subject: Anomaly.
I shall attempt to be brief. We’re from a short time into the future. The anomaly currently surrounding us is not our doing, but we think, that of the entity known as Solus. We have engaged several of their ships before coming back here, and it is expected that an attack is imminent. Even if it is not, we have all been sent two thousand years back in time, and we expect the entire region will be devastated in some way soon. We are convinced that we must evacuate you (and by this, we mean all Kajali) as soon as possible; we have prepared the capacity for everyone – though not necessarily in comfort – and some equipment and other national treasures (after people are seen to), to go forward to the ‘present’ in stasis.
Obviously, we wouldn’t presume to tell you what to do, but any time lost in this matter may cause countless avoidable deaths. We will cooperate with whatever you decide is necessary, but have released some of this information to the press already in an effort to ensure that people understand what has happened.

RE: Anomaly
Well, this is unexpected. Still, we can confirm what you've said. We lost all contact with external Federal assets, the Triumvirate, and VERITAS a few moments ago following a few days of degraded communications. Much of the Home Fleet is also unreachable, though this is to be expected as much of it was beyond the perimeter of this anomaly you've mentioned.
What is present of the Home Fleet is equivalent roughly to three colonial garrisons such as those at Mars and Venus; I'm ordering them to a defensive posture. Should we come under attack during evacuation efforts, they should be able to delay any such attack considerably.
Also, my people tell me that your message originates within ten kilometers of my location. I assume, then, you had intended on evacuating the Parliament and Imperial Palaces personally?
