The Emperor heard the small remark, but decided that it would be impolite to respond to it. Instead, he laughed quietly.

They came to the lounge It was An Excisitly Furnished Bar Around one of the Larger tables was sat
"That's Colin Teighnmouth, Captain of The SS Duchess, Joseph Greenback Captain of the SS Spiridon, James Lyttelton of the SS Regent, Holly Egmont, Captain of the SS Maginot and Brian Ripley, Captain of the SS Nostromo." Simon said Pointing at each captain

"The Dean, Mechanology Divisional Leader of New Amerik. A pleasure to meet you all here today," The Dean said, pleasantly. His clothing shifted, and then four mechanical hands extended outwards, snaking their way towards four of the captains as he held his right one out to shake hands.

The Captains All looked Bewildered and Shook the Hands

The Dean nodded, and stood back, the arms once more disappearing smoothly into his clothing, like they had never existed at all. He looked around, and asked, "So, there are five of you currently on break? Are there any captain on business at the moment? How many?"

"Just Captain Amanda Hislop of the SS Redfern," Simon said "The Redfern Is Our Best Ship and Was ready First, If I remember correctly Its Headed to New Amerik"

The Dean nodded. "Ah, yes, Bates mentioned something about that at the last meeting. Going to see Sadevko and the Manhattan Wasteline, eh?"

A Secretary entered the Lounge and Whispered in his ear
"Excuse Me, the Salvage Company is on the Phone" He said "I'll Leave you In the capable Hands of these captains"
He left the room as the door closed One of the captains Said "Sodding Nepotism, That's what it is. The Redfern Was supposed to be My Job. Then He Puts that Red Wolf Bitch In charge! He's Useless as CEO, Couldn't Run a Piss-up in a brewery "

There was a light cracking sound. As people turned to try and detect where it was, The Dean lightly whistled.

"Excuse me, I didn't quite hear the last statement? Something about nepotism? Please elaborate, you know how these old bolts interfere with my hearing. The Dean spoke, mildly, and putting on an exaggerated accent, as if suddenly old.

All of the Other Captains Shuffled Away Leaving Captain Teighnmouth sat Alone
"That Idiot" He began, Pointing at the Door Simon had exited from "Is related to the Bitch Who is now captain of the Redfern, a Command that Was rightfully mine. Instead I get Lumbered with the Rustbucket Known as The SS Duchess. All because She's His Cousin AND Might I add, A Non-Human."

The Dean nodded, and then stepped forward, closer. "You know, I heard that. Indeed, I did. And I don't like what I hear. And I think you're a very lucky young man, because if it were William Bates who heard you say that instead of me, he would be revving up his saw right now. And if the Emperor were here instead of me, he would be drawing his blade. Now, I must say I don't think it's wise to attack another person of an allied country, especially since you haven't committed a crime. So instead, I'm just going to show you something."

He had gotten closer, with more and more appendages working their way out, snaking towards Teighnmouth and grappling with his arms. As Teighnmouth did presumably whatever it was one did when forty four and still growing arms are being latched around you, The Dean seemed to lean in, and with a swelling of his robes engulfed the man's front.

Within the mass of mechanical implements, writhing hands, and the breathing of The Dean's ragged breath, The Dean did the single worst thing he could do to a person without physically harming him.

The Dean revealed what was under his robes to Teighnmouth.

Everyone else in the room Shuddered as if someone had passed over their Graves

The Emperor looked on calmly and unamusedly at the scene, and muttered an extremely unkind remark about "stupid amateurs". His only non-offensive comment was "How do you fit all those arms in there?"

The Dean stepped back, and nodded.

"Consider telling him this, fellow captains. Let him know that he, through his words, have personally offended a number of the leaders of New Amerik, as well as the Emperor himself and the head of the prevailing serial killer organizations. Tell him to watch his tongue....and that speciesism gets you nowhere."

Simon Reentered the room and His Eyes Passed over the Comatose Teighnmouth disinterestedly
"All done Here?" He asked
