From: President Ingram Hasely, the Democratic Republic of Cazatania
Greetings!
For the past eight years, the Democratic Republic of Cazatania has remained somewhat isolationist because of my policies. My people made the decision to embark on this course of action when we were still recovering from three years of near constant occupation by the tyrannical British Londinian empire. Our economy was in shambles, our government was falling apart, and our people were traumatized by the horrible crimes that the Londinian occupation forces committed against them. We didn't want to risk another devastating war, and we didn't want to become the puppet state of another nation; we still wished to be independent, as we always have. So, we waited in the background of world events for nearly eight years, fighting three short wars overseas, and a long drawn out one at home against the communist insurgent menace. That time has given our private sector time to rebuild itself into a massive powerhouse, and for our industries and businesses to begin trading with the rest of the world. In those eight years, Cazatania has become one of the most prosperous and liberty loving nations of Greater Dienstad, with the largest GDP per capita in the region. In the past year, the people of Cazatania have begun to seek a relationship with the world, that beyond one of our allies and regional partners. Cazatania has recovered from the trauma of constant warfare, and is now opening it's gates to the world.
To usher in this new age of peaceful cooperation, my staff and I have organized a Diplomatic Formal at the Presidential Palace in our capital city, New Berlin. It is open to the leaders and delegates of the world who wish to establish ties with Cazatania, as well as other nations in attendance. The event starts at 5:00 PM on the 7th of July. I hope to see you at the Formal, and I hope for peace, prosperity, and tolerance between our peoples.
Sincerely,
President Ingram J. Hasley
President of the Democratic Republic of Cazatania
Second Lieutenant (Retired), Cazatanian Army, 112th Infantry Division
