Synopsis of Movie:
In 1901, Georges arrives at the Institut de Technologie in Ortenberg, a place of lavished laboratories, coal‑heated lecture halls, and a faculty divided between tradition and innovation. He is not yet the icon he will become; he is a poorly paid assistant, mocked for his unkempt hair and distracted manner, and barely tolerated by senior academics who consider his ideas naïve. His days are filled with tedious tasks: calibrating faulty chronometers, repairing induction coils, and assisting in dull experiments meant to confirm long‑accepted Newtonian principles. Yet beneath this monotony, Georges carries a private obsession - the nature of time. He scribbles constantly in notebooks, filling them with diagrams of trains, clocks, and beams of light. His colleagues tease him for “thinking in metaphors,” but Georges insists that the universe must be understood through thought experiments, not just machinery.

A key early scene shows him staring at the institute’s massive Foucault pendulum, whispering to himself a repeated sentence, "If motion is relative, then time must be, too." Georges is on the brink of a revelation, but he cannot yet articulate it. The second week begins with a humiliating setback. Georges presents a paper to the faculty proposing that the speed of light is constant, regardless of the observer's motion. The room is a mixture of silent, stiffled confusion, and curiousity from others. Professor Matthias Clair-Halden, his most vocal critic, calls the idea “childish fantasy.”

Shaken, Georges retreats into isolation. He wanders Ortenberg's streets, visits a clockmaker, and spends nights pacing the institute's observatory. These sequences show his mind working through imagery: gears turning, stars wheeling overhead, trains passing through the valley at dawn. A breakthrough comes during a storm. Lightning strikes the institute’s telegraph tower, disrupting the synchronized clocks used for regional railway coordination. Georges is asked to help repair the system. While watching two clocks fall out of sync, he realizes simultaneity is not absolute. This moment is portrayed with operatic intensity — the ticking of clocks becomes the film’s leitmotif, the sound design tightening as Georges scribbles equations on the wall with chalk.

He rushes back to his dormitory and begins assembling the foundations of what will become special relativity. Pages pile up. Diagrams of moving trains, beams of light, and observers in motion fill the screen. The montage is frenetic, almost feverish. Georges writes, almost casually: E=mc2. He stares at the formula, unsure whether it is genius or madness. The film lingers on his trembling hand - the moment the modern world is born.

The final week shifts from discovery to confrontation. Georges attempts to present his new theory to the institute’s board. Halden dismisses it as “ideological contamination,” accusing Georges of undermining centuries of physics with abstract speculation. The word idéologie becomes the film’s thematic anchor: the conflict between entrenched academic dogma and revolutionary thought. Georges finds an unexpected ally in Dr. Amélie Varnier, a mathematician whose quiet brilliance has long been overshadowed by the institute’s patriarchal culture. She helps him refine his equations, challenges his assumptions, and ultimately becomes the first person to fully grasp the implications of his work. Together, they prepare a manuscript to send to Nortuan scientific journals. But Halden intervenes, attempting to block its publication and threatening Georges’ position.

Georges refuses to recant. Amélie confronts the board, arguing that science must evolve or die. Their defiance inspires several younger researchers, who begin to see Georges not as an eccentric but as a visionary. The film ends with Georges leaving Ortenberg. Snow falls as he walks through the streets, manuscript in hand. The institute looms behind him, a fortress of old ideas he has outgrown. A closing title card notes that his paper, once published, will ignite a scientific revolution.

Main Characters & Actors:
- Simon Bousquet as Georges Édouard: An aspirational physics student at the Institut de Technologie d'Ortenberg whose theories on the relationship between general and special relativity draw both speculation and support from fellow students and faculty.
- Jean Serre as Matthias Clair-Halden: A physicist and professor teaching at the Institute.
- Élisa Bocuse as Amélie Varnier: A mathematician teaching at the Institute, often overshadowed by the patriarchal culture.
- Jordan Plouffe as Baptiste De Guignes: The director of the Institute from 1892-1903.

Synopsis of Movie: In 1992, amidst the backdrop of a nuclear test conducted in the mountains of coastal Yuan, a group of scientists discovers a colossal dragon-like creature, later named Fatalis, deep within the earth. It is a time of great secrecy as the world is unaware of the monstrous life forms hidden beneath its surface. The scientists, led by Dr. Li Wen, believe that Fatalis poses a significant threat to humanity and decide to destroy it using the nuclear test. As the ground shakes, they believe the explosion has wiped Fatalis from existence. However, in the aftermath of the test, reports of unusual seismic activity surface, hinting at the resilience of this ancient beast.

In 2025, the city of Chonsheuan, once known for its bustling markets and vibrant culture, is thriving. Among its residents are key characters, each with their own ties to the city and a shared history; Chen Yu: A passionate environmental journalist who has been investigating unusual geological activities near the Chonsheuan region; Liu Mei: A resourceful geologist and Yu’s childhood friend, known for her expertise in seismic readings and her stubborn determination; Wang Zhi: A retired military officer and local legend, who often shares tales of creatures from old folklore, dismissed by the younger generation; Tang Jie: A daring young inventor with dreams of creating a public awareness campaign about geological safety.

A sudden mine collapse rocks the foundation of Chonsheuan, shaking the city to its core. The ground trembles violently, and out of the chaos, Fatalis emerges—an immense, scaled behemoth with terrifying eyes and a roar that sends shockwaves through the streets. As Fatalis wreaks havoc, the city of Chonsheuan turns from a place of life to utter devastation. Buildings crumble under its weight, and panic spreads as citizens flee from the monstrous creature. News reports and broadcasts capture the altercation, painting a picture of terror and confusion.

Chen Yu, Liu Mei, Wang Zhi, and Tang Jie band together amidst the chaos, each contributing their skills to survive and understand the creature’s origins. Understanding that traditional methods of fighting such a creature are futile, they opt to employ a strategy of research-based tactics to contain Fatalis. Chen reviews archival footage of the 1992 nuclear test while Liu studies geological maps to determine where Fatalis might go next. Meanwhile, Wang makes use of old military contacts to gather resources, and Tang develops innovative devices to send out a warning to surrounding cities.

As Fatalis continues its destructive path towards neighboring cities, the stakes grow higher. The group discovers that the creature is not just driven by destruction; it seems to be searching for something—perhaps its nesting grounds disturbed by the nuclear test years earlier. Fearing for the safety of more cities, the group sets out on a treacherous journey to close the gap between them and Fatalis.

The military hopes to harness Fatalis’ power for their own ends. They hire mercenaries to kill the creature so it can be studied in their labs.

Through their encounters, they learn that Fatalis is not just a mindless monster but a creature that once held power over the land, revered in ancient myths. This revelation leads Liu to theorize that they might have to approach Fatalis not as an enemy but as a creature needing to regain balance in its world. The group composes a daring plan to contain Fatalis using a series of advanced tech devices Tang has invented, aiming to create a shield based on frequencies to calm the creature rather than further provoke it.

As they reach the outskirts of Shanghan as Fatalis approaches, the group sets up their devices in preparation for the imminent clash. Tension runs high as they anticipate either a showdown or a potential peaceful resolution. Citizens rally behind them, inspired by their resolve against hopelessness. In an explosive climax, Fatalis arrives in the city, its presence striking fear into the hearts of many. The group launches their plan and engages Fatalis directly. The devices emit sound waves aiming to communicate with the creature instead of attacking it. The scene is fraught with tension as the team must evade the destruction every time Fatalis unleashes its fiery breath.

As they activate the devices, an unexpected connection forms between Liu and Fatalis; she feels its ancient pain and suffering caused by humanity’s intrusions into its territory. The connection momentarily calms the creature, allowing the group to communicate a resolution. The climax continues with an emotional confrontation between Liu and Fatalis, presenting an opportunity for understanding rather than further conflict. As the creature hesitates, the team realizes that its rampage stems not from malice, but from a deep-rooted instinct to reclaim what has been taken from it.

In a pivotal moment, Liu Mei steps forward amidst the chaos, undeterred by Fatalis’s immense size and fierce appearance. With every ounce of courage, she calls out to the creature, tapping into her knowledge of ancient lore and the myths surrounding it. With the help of her research and a compendium of old tales, she speaks of balance and the importance of the creatures who once roamed freely. As her voice reaches the creature, the energies surrounding Fatalis seem to soften, and for a fleeting moment, there is a shimmer in its eyes—a flicker of understanding. It is a moment that resonates deeply with the spectators, as they witness this astonishing interplay between humanity and the ancient being. The device’s frequency harmonizes with Fatalis’s natural rhythms, creating a bond that transcends fear.

While Liu continues to forge a connection with Fatalis, Chen, Wang, and Tang work frantically to stabilize the area and protect the remaining citizens. The device they created—now partially successful—acts as a beacon, attracting Fatalis’s attention not in rage, but in awakening something deep within its core, reminding it of a time when humans and monsters coexisted harmoniously.

The once desolate streets of Chonsheuan become filled with hesitant hope. People watch as Liu strives to connect with Fatalis, realizing that it is both a powerful force of nature and a symbol of humanity’s neglect for the balance of their shared world. As Fatalis begins to calm, the towering figure lowers its head to Liu’s level, and the two form a moment of mutual recognition—an unspoken vow to restore the balance upset by human actions. With Fatalis pacified, Liu and the group recognize that their fight isn’t over yet. They must ensure not only the safety of Chonsheuan but also address the underlying issues that led to this catastrophic reveal of Fatalis in the first place. They leverage their newfound connection to advocate for environmental protection and preservation efforts to ensure such ancient creatures are respected and their rightful places in the ecosystem restored.

The film transitions into scenes of rebuilding and restoration. As Liu, Chen, Wang, and Tang spearhead new initiatives to survey and protect natural habitats, the government takes notice and begins to establish conservation policies inspired by their proactive measures. Fatalis is not only accepted as a feature of the land but revered as a guardian of the natural environment. In the closing scenes, as the sun sets over Chonsheuan, Liu stands on a hill overlooking the city. Fatalis can be seen soaring majestically through the sky, a silhouette against the setting sun, symbolizing hope, rebirth, and the profound connection between humanity and nature. The film ends with Liu and the group, gazing up at the sky, contrasting the previous fear with a sense of wonder. Together, they vow to protect both their city and the ancient beings that dwell within the earth, recognizing that guardianship goes hand in hand with respect for the forces of nature that have existed long before them.

Synopsis of Movie:
Joano (a salesman in Bandara) is driving to the sleepy village of Riacho de Santo Miguel, San Pedro to attend the funeral of his late mother, Rosa. During his walk through the village, he encounters his former neighbour Gloria and begin to talk about their moments with Joano's mother and the past however Gloria interrupts the nostalgic mood with news of dogs disappearing mysteriously, including her own dog, a Shih Tzu, called Tomas, and recent cases of missing people around the area as well as Nicolau's, Joano's father, worsening mental health; she offers Joano a room at her house to stay for some days which Joano accepts gratefully. Joano moves to the living room to rest but encounters a dog cage which leaves Joano paralysed in fear until Gloria interrupts him, promptly returning him into a good mood.

The day after, Joano meets up with his siblings, Martin (a solicitor in Fortaleza) and Francisca (a fashion designer in Salvador) at the park and discuss their shared childhood experiences and their adult lives; their father, Nicolau, abruptly arrives in a drunken state and disturbs the trio about men and beasts which pushes them to leave. As Joano walks back to Gloria's house, he encounters Dr. Pardo (the village surgeon and family friend) who seems distracted and disinterested in Joano's questions and quickly leaves the scene, leaving behind Joano confused.

Whilst cleaning the dishes in the kitchen, Joano discusses with Gloria who is smoking in the living room more about his mother when he notices something moving in the garden from the kitchen window. He immediately investigates outside and discovers a motionless and bleeding dog-man hybrid; the hybrid collapses just as Joano approaches for and when he shouts for Gloria, he notices a bloodied dog tag etched with 'Tomas'. Gloria arrives and also notices the dog tag, breaking down in tears. The next day, Joano is digging up a grave in the garden for Tomas when he remembers the trail of blood — he leaves to investigate where the hybrid came from and arrives at a barn near Dr. Pardo's house, noticing a backdoor however he is interrupted by Dr. Pardo, now aggressive, wielding a shotgun. Before the situation escalates, Francisca intervenes and pulls Joano away to the hostel where Francisca is staying at and the pair discuss the disappearances of the dogs, as Francisca has become interested in it, and Dr. Pardo. They formulate a plan to distract and drug him at the local bar which he frequents whilst Joano investigates the barn for any evidence concerning the dogs. During their discussion Martin enters the room bewildered as he found a hybrid corpse, unaware of Joano's encounter, and when pursued by Francisca to join in the plan, Martin readily agrees.

At the bar Martin finds Dr. Pardo and talks to him, slipping a white powder into his drink without detection however immediately Nicolau disrupts the pair and pulls Martin outside of the bar whilst hurling threats and beating him to a pulp. Meanwhile Joano arrives at the barn and sneaks in, photographing an operating theatre and several dog cages and kennels with one home to a sleeping hybrid however the investigation is cut short when Nicolau and a drunk Dr. Pardo arrive, prompting Joano to hide who overhears of Nicolau's boasting of beating Martin, alerting him to notify Francisca of Martin's situation. Unfortunately Dr. Pardo notices Joano and stumbles towards him before falling over, attracting Nicolau and forcing Joano to escape. Joano continues to run towards the park where Francisca and a bloodied Martin are standing and exchanges the photos, shortly departing to prepare for tomorrow.

The next morning Joano is dressed for the funeral and is waiting at the park for Francisca and Martin when he notices blood patches on the grass. Before he can investigate, Dr. Pardo approaches him and tells him to drop his interest about the disappearances however Francisca and Martin arrive and ward off Dr. Pardo. At the funeral Joano prepares to tell Francisca of the blood at the park when midway the service is interrupted by Nicolau who damages Francisca's car and threatens to kill them like dogs. Curious of the blood, Joano brings Martin along to investigate the park, tracking the bloodied grass to a bush with another dead dog hybrid — though larger and more human-like. Attempting to contact Francsica, Martin sights upon another dog hybrid, this time, walking on the street. The pair flee as the hybrid soon chases them into the woods and fortunately manage to escape before they are both knocked out.

Joano wakes up after being dowsed by a water bucket, revealing that Dr. Pardo had knocked them out and locked them in dog cages alongside several other dogs. Martin is next to him though is still unconscious. Joano repeatedly asks Dr. Pardo his role in the disappearances of the dogs and the people but he remains obstinate, instead focused on his nearby surgical tools, and soon leaves. Amidst his state of claustrophobic panic Joano notices Nicolau entering the barn and immediately questions. Nicolau reveals his dabbling in witchcraft and dark magic, prompted by recent visions from the demon Belphegor who had demanded a sacrifice of his kin to prevent a global cataclysm. Nicolau further reveals that the demon gave Dr. Pardo, who joined in Nicolau's rituals, the ability to create artificial life in order to establish his army on Iearth and together they were able to drug many of the village’s dogs and people to be hybridised to fulfil Belphegor’s demands. Nicolau begins to taunt Joano whilst preparing him for the operation with memories of punishing him as a child by locking him in dog cages and treating him as a dog. Taking advantage of his father’s lack of awareness in the moment, Joano escapes the cage and jumps out, wrestling Nicolau to the ground and knocking him out; Joano attempts to free Martin, now awaken, but Dr. Pardo arrives with the shotgun. Joano tries to reason with Dr. Pardo, now panicked and increasingly more aggressive, but Dr. Pardo is stabbed by Francisca who had stalked Nicolau since the funeral. Francisca joins Joano in trying to free Martin but is shot with a revolver by Dr. Pardo who dies immediately from his wounds. Joano hurriedly gathers the surgical tools and manages to pull out the bullet and patch the wound before returning to Martin.

As Martin is freed, Nicolau reawakens now bloodied and injured and begs them to give mercy however, from the childhood memories of the treatment Nicolau dished out, they decide to lock him up in a dog kennel home to a hybrid and release the imprisoned dogs and call the police, immediately leaving the scene in Francisca's car.

Synopsis of Movie:
The film first details the establishment of leper colonies and hospitals as part of the Liberal Reforms in the late 1910s to '20s before focusing on the waning years of Sozinhalândia and San Rafayel under the respective directorship of Henriki Pateriso and Egberto San Joano. Isaki de la Cruz (the narrator) provides the story of Wallenland's last leper colonies by presenting evidence such as records, photographs, newspaper clippings, and footage and interviewing former staff members, former patients, museum staff and historical experts, and the local residents. The film also weaves the everlasting stigma surrounding leprosy and other similar diseases into the narrative, exploring the taboo impacts of Wallenlander society on disease and medicinal research as an inhibitor in the social suffering of not only lepers but also those suffering with cancer, skin conditions, and physical disabilities in the modern day.

The documentary ends with a solemn reminder presented at San Rafayel Leper Cemetery of the mental and physical anguish endured by the patients at these colonies and the lasting stigma of diseased folk.

Director: Burrabâhiwama Tradutor and Miogaśiianema Tradutor

Production or background information (optional): Filming took place at the former last colonies of Sozinhalândia and San Rafayel which are still inhabited by some former patients and staff and their descendants.

Synopsis of Movie: In 2008, Clark Hall is tasked with infiltrating the criminal enterprise of tech businessman Redvers Keech, who is prepared to sell new surveillance software to a terrorist organization. Hall enters Keech's company headquarters in Mönusÿnthys, where he is confronted by Keech and his men, but Hall reveals he has already planted a bomb in the server room. The bomb explodes, seemingly destroying all traces of the software. Hall then kills Keech on orders of V and leaves as the building is engulfed in flame, walking past arriving emergency responders and a teenage boy who looks on from a gathering crowd.

In the present day, Clark Hall is in Aseu Port, undercover as a tourist enjoying Revolution Day celebrations. His cover gets him into a luxury resort, where he eavesdrops on a criminal, Orestis Christallis, hearing him mention “Kimon” and a plan to bomb the national football stadium during an international match, with the heads of state of several Northern Cantalle Islands nations in attendance. Hall intervenes and sets off a sprinkler system, shorting out the bomb and causing it to explode and kill most of the criminals at the meeting, but Christallis escapes and Hall gives chase. When Christallis boards a helicopter, Hall leaps aboard and, after stealing Christallis’s unusual bracelet, throws him out of the helicopter.

Back in Allengin, Henry Criswell is furious at Hall’s unofficial activities and suspends him from duty. Knowing there's more to Hall's actions, Mila Green visits him at home and asks him what he’s up to. Hall shows her a video from V, who died a year ago, asking him to assassinate Christallis and then attend his funeral to uncover his associates. On Criswell’s orders, Logan Fox tags Hall with a tracker, but discreetly agrees that he will cover for Hall for forty-eight hours. Fox gives Hall a watch packed with explosives and a pen with a tracking dart in the tip.

At the funeral in Tyrnatini, Hall meets Christallis’s widow, Andriani, and saves her from assassins. Andriani tells Hall about a meeting of her husband’s criminal associates that evening, and Hall infiltrates the meeting. There, he watches them discuss the need to assassinate “Kimon”, someone who has fallen out of favor with the organization. Hall then witnesses a brutal murder by an enforcer, Zinon, and is then recognized by the organisation’s head, Iisak Kukkonen, and has to flee. Hall is chased through Tyrnatini by Zinon and Kukkonen's bodyguard Corr, but eventually escapes, maneuvering his pursuer's car into a canal during the chase.

Mila Green calls Hall and tells him that “Kimon” is an alias of Mr Aranda, from the Selleno cartel Hall had previously tangled with.

Meanwhile, Criswell’s rival intelligence chief Emrys Butler attempts to create a worldwide, total-surveillance organisation called ‘Manu’ with other intelligence agencies around the world. Butler makes his argument for Manu at an international summit of the intelligence communities, urging them to join on, but the proposal loses by one vote, to Criswell’s relief.

Hall travels to Norasa to find Mr Aranda, who assumes Hall is there to kill him. He tells Hall it’s too late, as he’s already dying after an assassin poisoned him with thallium. Hall realises Mr Aranda’s last concern is to protect his daughter and persuades him the best way to do that is to tell Hall where she is. Mr Aranda tells Hall his daughter, Candela Arán, works at a clinic in Apelnisse, and Hall should ask her about “Ménétries”. He then dies.

Hall meets Candela at the clinic, but she won’t cooperate. As Hall unites with Fox to discuss next steps, they witness Candela being kidnapped by Zinon, who is unaware of Hall's presence at the clinic. Hall pursues Zinon and his men in a car chase through Apelnisse, and rescues Candela, though Zinon escapes. Fox examines Christallis’s bracelet and discovers files linking Kukkonen’s organisation with Hall’s previous missions. Candela tells Hall the organisation is called “Savale”, and that “Ménétries” is a hotel in Dabatta that her mother and father used to visit annually.

As Hall and Candela travel for Dabatta, Criswell and Green watch a news report of a terrorist attack in Tregueux, where a bomb destroyed a stadium and resulted in mass casualties. Butler says the incident has encouraged other international intelligence agencies to sign onto Manu, which will go into effect within 48 hours, to Criswell's suspicion.

Hall and Candela arrive in Dabatta and travel to “Ménétries”, staying in the same room her mother and father used to stay in. Hall discovers a secret room containing a computer with the co-ordinates of a facility in the steppes of Kossmil that isn’t on any maps. Hall and Candela travel into the steppe by train. While on the train, they’re attacked by Zinon, who’s about to kill Hall when Candela shoots him and Zinon falls off the train. At the facility in the steppe, Hall meets Kukkonen, revealing he is the son of Redvers Keech, born Isacc Keech and having changed his name. Kukkonen tells Hall how he has manipulated the events Hall pursued for years; Kukkonen provided technology to Victor Raven, bombs to Saraiva Pedroso, financed the Selleno cartel, and directed Attyte's cyberterrorism. Now, he has succeeded in having Manu approved, after setting off more bombs, and will soon have total surveillance of the world. Kukkonen makes Candela watch a video of her father being poisoned and Hall one of V giving a farewell speech. One of Kukkonen’s guards knocks Hall out. Hall wakes up tied to an operating chair and about to be tortured to death. Kukkonen starts torturing Hall, but Hall sets his watch to explode, then passes it to Candela, who throws it at Kukkonen. After the explosion, Hall and Candela escape, destroying Kukkonen’s facility in the process.

They return to Allengin to meet Criswell, Fox, and Green. The group plans to arrest Butler and prevent Manu from going live, though Candela says she can’t be part of Hall’s world of violence and leaves. On the way to arrest Butler, Criswell’s car is ambushed. Criswell escapes, but the assailants grab Hall and take him to an old dockyard building which is wired for demolition, but not before Green fires Hall's pen tracker at the assailants' vehicle. Criswell attempts to arrest Butler in his office, while Fox tries to hack the Manu system. Butler attacks Criswell and in the ensuing struggle falls to his death, while Fox finally manages to terminate the Manu system.

In the old dockyard building, Hall finds Kukkonen, who triggers the countdown for the demolition explosives and reveals he has taken Candela as a hostage. He tells Hall he has to choose whether to save himself or die trying to find Candela. Kukkonen escapes as Hall decides to find Candela. Green, keeping watch on the building, witnesses Kukkonen board his yacht, with Candela as a prisoner on board. She tries to contact Hall but can't get through to him, so she runs inside the building. As the explosives detonate and the building starts to collapse, Green intercepts Hall and reveals Candela was taken to Kukkonen's yacht by Corr. Hall and Green narrowly escape the exploding building by boat and they catch up to Kukkonen’s yacht in the river and Hall boards it.

Aboard the yacht, Kukkonen is furious at Butler's failure and plans to detonate a bomb at the EI8 headquarters as collateral. However, before he can give the order, Hall appears and takes out Corr, freeing Candela in the process. He has a chance to execute Kukkonen, but instead knocks him out, captures him, and lets Criswell arrest him.

Criswell, Fox, and Green each testify before Elbresia's parliament on the status of Elbresia's intelligence agency. Hall is summoned but misses his appearance. Hall and Candela drive in a luxury car through the countryside of Shoassau, as Hall tenures his resignation with EI8. He and Candela arrive in Montemera and the Montemera Basilica, where they kiss.

A post-credits stinger shows a clandestine meeting in a dimly lit underground bunker. An unknown figure, shrouded in shadow, whispers "Savale was just the beginning."

Synopsis of Movie: The film opens during the opulent coronation ceremony of Emperor Jiao, the last heir of the Huin dynasty. Amidst a breathtaking landscape adorned with ancient temples and lush greenery, the ceremony is attended by representatives from the twelve realms of Yuan, each governed by extraordinary leaders known as the Realm Guardians. Each realm possesses unique powers, such as elemental magic, beast summoning, and ethereal arts. As Emperor Jiao takes the throne, the atmosphere is vibrant yet tense, given the precarious alliances and historical rivalries among the twelve realms. Dreams of unity and prosperity are echoed through the air, but underlying doubts linger about Jiao’s ability to rule effectively and fairly.

Emperor Jiao struggles with the burden of leadership. Highly idealistic and passionate, he longs to maintain peace and cooperation among the realms but counters political pressures from his advisors and the volatile Realm Guardians who guard their domains fiercely. As he speaks of a new era of collaboration to the gathered leaders, whispers of dissent ripple through the crowd, led by Lord Mian, the ambitious Guardian of the Frost Realm, who silently plots to challenge the newly crowned Emperor. Following the coronation, tensions rise as the realms begin to express dissent over the Huin dynasty's governance. Each Guardian, who wields substantial power and influence within their respective domains, struggles to keep their interests aligned—with old grudges simmering and ambitions resurging. Lord Mian seeks to ignite these tensions, viewing Emperor Jiao’s idealism as a weakness that can be exploited.

Quan, a fierce warrior and skilled strategist from the Fire Realm, emerges as a central figure who believes in the possibility of unity. She recognizes the growing unrest among the realms and, knowing the devastating consequences of war, takes it upon herself to negotiate peace and defuse tensions between the Guardians. As she navigates through various realms, Quan encounters fierce resistance, particularly from Zhannai, the brutish Guardian of the Stone Realm, whose interests clash vehemently with Jiao’s vision. Tension grows as Zhannai, incited by Mian's dark promises, begins to rally discontented Guardians to form a coalition against the Huin dynasty.

As explosive confrontations erupt between rival factions, the lands become embroiled in skirmishes that unleash elemental chaos, disturbing the long-held balance of power across the twelve realms. With the Guardians at odds and escalating conflict imminent, Emperor Jiao dispatches his loyal advisor, Chexi, to seek a counsel of wise elders believed to possess insight into ancient prophecies that may guide them through turmoil. Led by the elder Du, their guidance reveals the existence of the Twelve Seals, powerful relics that can restore harmony across the realms when united. However, each Seal lies hidden, guarded by the spirits of the realms that only reveal themselves to those deemed worthy.

Quan joins Emperor Jiao and Chexi on a quest to retrieve the Seals, into the heart of each realm. Their journey takes them from the fiery mountains of Fire Realm to labyrinthine caves of the Stone Realm, each destination filled with trials and adventures that test their resolve, strategy, and alliances. Along their journey, Quan discovers an unexpected bond with Tan Zhou, a rebel warrior from the Wind Realm, who possesses secrets of his own. Torn between the desire for unity and the deep-rooted ambitions of the Guardians, they face dire choices that forge their fates and ultimately reveal hidden truths about their pasts and their connections to the Seals.

As the quest for the Twelve Seals culminates, Lord Mian hatches a plot that leads to an unforeseen assault on Emperor Jiao’s palace, igniting a full-scale war among the realms. The Guardians, fueled by mistrust and ambition, engage in an all-out battle for supremacy, unleashing untold destruction across Yuan. The elemental forces rage, revealing the immense powers forged through centuries of cooperation that are now threatening to tear the realm apart. In the chaos of war, Quan, Emperor Jiao, and Tan Zhou rally the Guardians loyal to peace against their adversaries in a fierce struggle that tests the limits of their courage and beliefs. Awakened by their resolve, the spirits connected to the Twelve Seals reveal themselves, guiding them to unite their strengths against the chaos and challenges presented by Mian’s coalition.

In a climactic showdown on a battlefield, the Guardians face the repercussions of their decisions as the power of the elements clashes violently. The Battle for Unity becomes a spectacle of magic and might, with earth-shaking clashes between warriors wielding unique elemental powers. Each Guardian faces their past choices and the implications of their actions as the tide of battle shifts rapidly. In the midst of the chaos, Emperor Jiao confronts Lord Mian. Fueled by rage and betrayal, Mian accuses Jiao of weakness and incompetence, claiming his ascension has led them all to ruin. Jiao, steadfast and resolute, counter-argues that true strength lies not in division, but in the ability to unite in the face of adversity. The clash between them is fierce, showcasing Jiao’s patience and hope against Mian's unyielding ambition and desire for power.

At the height of their confrontation, Quan finds herself torn between aiding Jiao or confronting Zhannai, who has become increasingly savage in his quest for dominance. In a moment of clarity, she remembers the visions imparted by the Elders during her quest for the Seals—a vision of unity amidst chaos. Using her newfound resolve, she rallies the remaining Guardians, encouraging them to embrace the lessons they’ve learned and to stand together against Mian’s forces. Her impassioned speech ignites a spark of unity among the fractured factions. Guardians who had once stood on opposite sides realize that they are stronger together than apart, rekindling old friendships and trust.

As the battle reaches its climax, Jiao and Quan are finally able to retrieve the Twelve Seals from the spirits of each realm, even as the fighters clash around them. When united, the Seals resonate with their combined elemental powers, creating an extraordinary manifestation of unity that floods the battlefield with light. The Seals allow Quan and Jiao to channel their energies into a powerful wave that unites the elemental forces. The resulting surge of energy overwhelms the chaos created by Mian and Zhannai, bridging the divide between the factions. This combined magic restores balance and halts the conflict, giving way to a moment of calm amidst the storm.

Mian, seeing the strength of their unity, realizes that he has misjudged the potential of collaborative strength and that he has let ambition cloud his judgment. As the light washes over him, he is confronted with visions of the pain his actions have caused throughout the realms. He makes a pivotal choice, surrendering to Jiao, signaling a desire for redemption rather than destruction. Zhannai, battered and realizing the futility of his ambitions amidst the united front of everyone he sought to destroy, also yields. This act of surrender initiates a transformative moment of forgiveness and understanding, and Quan encourages the Guardians to heal old wounds, acknowledging the long-standing grievances that have fueled animosity.

In the aftermath of the battle, the realms stand together, united under the symbol of the Twelve Seals, which become a powerful artifact embodying unity and cooperation. Emperor Jiao oversees a new council representing each of the twelve realms, ensuring that decisions are made collaboratively, fostering diplomacy and camaraderie among the factions. As they delve into rebuilding what was lost, Quan and Tan Zhou find a renewed purpose in advocating for peace and strengthening ties within the communities. Together, they help forge new alliances and cultural exchanges, establishing a legacy rooted in understanding and cooperation.

The film concludes with a vibrant celebration where the leaders of each realm come together for a festival that celebrates their differences and shared goals. As Quan, now a revered strategist and diplomat, shares a smile with Tan Zhou under the moonlit sky, it becomes clear that this new era marks a hopeful beginning for all. In an emotional final note, the camera pans over the realms of Yuan, showcasing the beauty and diversity of each territory while capturing the bonds formed in adversity.

Synopsis of Movie: In the year of 1993, three young men are playing on a stage in Zamastan , surrounded by several spotlights and tens of thousands of people in the crowd. They are playing ‘’Faithless’’, their first hit song that has suddenly thrown the band into stardom. Their singer, the 27 year old Kevin Hansen, finishes the song by thanking the crowd for coming to their show before announcing “Thank you for coming to our show because this will be our last one. Because Black Lotus is dead, Black Lotus is f##king dead. ” The band leaves the stage while being booed by the entire crowd, now shocked and mad by this sudden announcement. Black Lotus’s song “The Destiny of a Rockstar” begins to play while a few short scenes, memories from the different band members, flashes by. First a short flashback to the band’s first gig, succeeded by a bar fight, succeeded by a big show in Oskarsviik and then a short shot of the band in an interview. The flashbacks then end with Kevin Hansen laying dead on a hotel floor beside a bottle of pills and the title, ‘’Rock'n'roll until the day I die’’, appearing on the screen while the music fades out.

The movie fades back showing a worn-down basement in Kiinavuopio, in 1985, with a young David Pourajoulla playing electric guitar with a few bandmates. David complains about the drummer playing too slow and the bassist playing out of rhythm, which leads to the musicians leaving the basement, calling David some less flattering words. Before the bassist slams the door he tells David that he won't ever find any bandmates willing to put up with his behaviour and that he will never make any good songs. David yells after them that he will become famous as soon as he finds people that actually can play their instruments.

A montage begins where David is putting up wanted bandmates posters, going to different punk venues, playing with different people that doesn't work out. The montage ends with him visiting a punk show played by the band Braindead, and David likes what he hears. After the show he goes up to the drummer, Juatan Homme, and compliments him on being a fast drummer before asking him to join the band. Juatan, disappointed in how his own band has failed to achieve any real success, decides to join David's band and he also brings with him bassist Daniel Hällqvist. Now having found bandmates that he likes, the band begins to have rehearsals in David's basement and play rather unpopular and unsuccessful gigs. The band calls themself Dahlia Nights during these gigs. After an unsuccessful gig in Kiinavuopio, in which the public boos the band off the stage, a few rowdy men in the crowd start a fight against them. All band members join in the fight which leaves both them and the attackers bloody, with Daniel Hällqvist losing a tooth. This leads to Hällqvist deciding to leave the band.

Juatan Homme stays in the band but tells David that Hällqvist is right, they need to evolve their punk sound with the growing alternative rock scene and that David should get a second vocalist. David reluctantly agrees while fixing his scars and wounds from the fight.

The narrative switches to a young Kevin Hansen in Oskarsviik, who has just been kicked out of his father’s house for quitting college and being unemployed. The dad throws Kevin's guitar on the ground, telling him “to get a job and get a life”. While walking to a bus stop with his stuff Kevin sees a flier for a job at an underground bar downtown known as Sølvkilden. Very soon after he starts working as a bartender in Sølvkilden. The bar is not super crowded but an energetic sludge punk band is playing. The punk band is Dahlia Nights, now with their new bassist Katjuk Aariak, and Kevin likes what he hears. After his shift ends, he starts drinking beer with the band and the band begins talking about them looking for a second vocalist that can help them evolve their sound. The name Kris Pedersen is mentioned, since he was their latest lead vocalist that was kicked off the band by David. Kevin offers to audition for the band, and the very next day he presents songs to the band he has written. The band agrees to let Kevin become their new lead singer and rhythm guitarist, even if David is reluctant.

The next scene shows a bunch of representatives of the label The Snow Factory attending a violent show with Dahlia Nights in Oskarsviik, in which they offer them a one album deal. A montage begins with the band recording songs to their debut album Kodename Karma, but also several instances with the band disagreeing and the drummer leaving after a physical confrontation with David. The record label recommends them a new alternative rock drummer called Filip Berg, and it’s obvious the band is divided between Berg and Hansen, and Pourajoulla and Aariak. The band finally releases their debut album Kodename Karma to some underground success, and the success leads to the band to dabble more and more into heavy drugs and alcohol, with the bassist Aariak getting kicked off the band after overdosing.

The band gets contacted by the record label NMI Records, who offers them a three record deal and an international tour. The band reluctantly agrees to the deal, heavily discussing their DIY ethics and that this will basically sell them out. They begin recording their second album Second hand Belief, in late 1989, with their new bassist Pål Ruud, and conflicts are at a high in the band. David Pourajoulla is getting more and more frustrated with losing his power and frontman role to Kevin Hansen, while Kevin Hansen's addiction to pills gets worse the more popular the band gets. David Pourajoulla gets furious when Kevin Hansen changes the band’s name to Black Lotus, and the record label pushes the other members to kick Poujarolla out. The name Black Lotus has been haunting Hansen in his nightmares, where he sees himself dying over and over again in a pond that houses one lonely Black Lotus. It all culminates in a montage that shows the success of their sophomore album ‘’Second hand belief’’, and them touring in Nortua, while the partying gets harder and the conflicts get worse. It all culminates in a show in Oskarsviik, the one seen in the intro flashbacks, in which a severely drunk Puojaroulla begins to fight with Hansen on stage, with the fight ending with Hansen throwing Pourajoulla off the stage. Hansen wants to quit the band but the drummer and their manager manages to convince Hansen to stay in the band. He agrees to stay in the band on one condition, which is that Pourajoulla is out of the band.

The upcoming scenes depict a very famous Black Lotus answering sarcastically in several interviews and getting more and more unhappy with the success of the band. An overdose in Beatavic by Hansen before a gig foreshadows where his life is going, and bassist Pål Ruud threatens to leave the band if Hansen doesn't seek help. Hansen seeks help but escapes the sobering facility after only one week and returns to touring with the band. It's hinted that the band has just released their third album to huge success, and are booked for a world tour.

During the tour the morale is at its lowest in the band, with all the members succumbing further and further to different addictions, and Hansen is obviously depressed. Pål Ruud gives an off hand comment to Hansen before an international show that he will leave the band after this tour, with Hansen replying “You won’t need to leave the band”.

The next scene is the same as the one in the beginning, with Black Lotus playing what would become their last show in Tofino, Zamastan in 1993. At the end of the concert, Hansen announces that the band is breaking up. The sounds from the booing fans and mad band members fades out while Hansen leaves the stage, with short frames from Hansen's death flashing on the screen before all music and sound stops. The last frame is completely quiet, with Kevin Hansen dead on the hotel room floor. The camera slowly pans out of the scene, with a line from the song “The Destiny of a Rockstar” appearing on screen. The text says, ‘’I don’t care if it will make my loved ones cry, I am rockn’roll until the day I die’’. The screen then fades to black, with the end credits having a memorial to Kevin Hansen, who died in 1993, and also a memorial to bassist Pål Ruud who died in 2007.

Synopsis of Movie: In 1953, an earnest, bookish young man Orsino Ciardullo (Thom Amarais) idolizes classical heroes and believes war will offer him a chance to prove his courage. His closest friends, including the boisterous Lorenzo Vassari (Constantin Auger), the gentle Matteo Brivani (Sostrato Pucci), and the stoic Giacomo Ferrand (Mariano Landucci) - share his enthusiasm, swept up in patriotic fervor and the promise of adventure. When Laysia calls for volunteers, the boys enlist together, convinced they will return home as celebrated defenders of the nation. Their departure is framed with bittersweet optimism: families waving flags, a brass band playing, and Orsino’s mother pressing a small wooden cross into his hand “to remind him of home.”

The recruits are shipped to the rural town of Émilien nestled in the rolling foothills of southern Lachau, occupied by Laysian forces. The frontlines of the conflict are just beyond the ridge. At the Camp de Saint‑Roch, the recruits encounter the first cracks in their romantic expectations. Their commanding officer, Vindonio Buccieri (Jean‑Paul Barbet), is a hardened veteran who dismisses their enthusiasm as dangerous foolishness. He drills them relentlessly, warning that “war does not reward bravery, only luck.” Orsino struggles with the brutality of training: the exhaustion, the humiliation, the constant reminders that individual heroism means little against artillery and machine guns. Yet he clings to his ideals, believing that courage will still matter once they reach the front.

The cinematography grows colder and more muted as the boys’ innocence erodes. Letters home become shorter, less cheerful. Rumors of catastrophic battles filter through the camp, but the recruits convince themselves they will fare better. The Laysian regiment is deployed to the line, where Allied forces have begun their push to liberate the region. The journey to the front is depicted with oppressive realism: endless columns of wounded soldiers, burned villages, and the distant rumble of artillery. Upon arrival, Orsino’s illusions collapse instantly. The trenches are a nightmare — mud, rats, corpses half‑buried in the earth, and soldiers whose eyes are hollow from trauma. The boys of Émilien are assigned to a dugout under the command of Sergeant Accursio Badami (Christophe Lebas), a cynical survivor who tells them bluntly that “the war will take everything from you, and then it will ask for more.”

The first bombardment is harrowing. Orsino freezes, unable to reconcile the chaos with his imagined heroism. Matteo is wounded, Lorenzo vomits uncontrollably, and Giacomo silently prays. The camera lingers on Orsino’s trembling hands as he realizes that bravery cannot stop shells. As the Allied offensive intensifies, the regiment is pushed into a series of desperate defensive actions. Orsino participates in a reconnaissance mission that goes disastrously wrong. He kills an enemy soldier at close range, a young man no older than himself. The moment haunts him, marking the irreversible end of his innocence.

Two weeks later, Matteo succumbs to infection of untreated wounds. His quiet passing in a makeshift infirmary devastates the group. Orsino blames himself for failing to protect him. Lorenzo becomes increasingly unstable, lashing out at officers and hallucinating during bombardments. His eventual disappearance during a chaotic retreat is left ambiguous, a symbol of the countless soldiers lost without record. Shattering his last emotional anchor, Orsino receives a letter from his father, describing how his hometown of Vianno has been occupied and partially destroyed and his mother had died of illness. Buccieri berates the Laysian leadership and Auberto Cecchetti in a speech to his troops, lamenting that Allies have successfully broken the lines in their homeland and the Laysian regime appears on the brink of surrender. Buccieri announces his intention to abandon the fight and passes command to Badami. Without support of the Laysian military and within the territory of another nation, surrounded by the Allies, the boys' dreams of glory are replaced by a grim determination simply to survive another day.

The Laysian regiment is ordered to hold a strategic ridge outside Ortenberg as Allied forces advance. Amid relentless assault of artillery, smoke, and confusion, Orsino witnesses the deaths of several comrades, including Sergeant Badami, who sacrifices himself to save the remaining soldiers. The ridge eventually collapses under overwhelming pressure. Orsino, wounded and delirious, crawls through the ruins of the battlefield as Allied troops sweep past. The liberation of Lachau is shown not as triumph for the Allies but as a tragic inevitability for the well-intentioned Laysian soldiers, the end of a war that has already consumed everything Orsino once believed in.

He is found by Corporals Lanese and Cerniglia, who carry him to a field hospital. There, Orsino learns that the war is effectively over for him. His regiment has been decimated; Émilien lies in ruins; his friends are gone. The film closes with Orsino returning to Vianno months later. The town is scarred, many homes destroyed, and the families of his friends mourn sons who never returned. Orsino walks alone through the quiet streets, carrying the wooden cross his mother gave him. He sits on a hillside overlooking the valley, staring at the rebuilt railway line.

The ending screen displays a quote: "War destroys the ideals we claim to defend." - Orsino Ciardullo, 1983

Synopsis of Movie: After Noriko, a recently graduated general surgeon in 1991, breaks up with her boyfriend, Minato, he throws a tantrum and refuses to accept the separation. Noriko doesn't care and subsequently begins working in the small, peaceful city of Futagoyama, only for her ex-boyfriend to begin blackmailing and stalking her in an attempt to make her yield to his demands.

Initially, Noriko ignores him, believing that he isn’t serious about his threats as she remembers him being more like an immature man than a serious aggressor. However, she begins to realize the gravity of the situation when her coworkers at the hospital start treating her differently after each of her occasional mistakes.

After a while, overwhelmed by the growing pressure of her ex-boyfriend’s blackmailing, Noriko asks the local hospital administrator to transfer her to another city, fearing that the controversy could damage her career. When the administrator asks why she can’t simply call the police, Noriko admits that she is afraid of how her ex-boyfriend might react and fears that he could hurt her. The administrator understands her concerns, and Noriko is transferred to Hokori-Shi, a colder but much larger city on Yume Island.

For two months, Noriko feels safe. Then, she discovers that her ex-boyfriend has followed her there as well when he calls her apartment's telephone. She begins to panic, and it isn’t long before Minato starts pounding on her apartment door, demanding that she let him in so they can talk. Surprised and terrified, Noriko improvises a rope and climbs out of her window before taking a taxi to the hospital.

Later that day, still extremely nervous and stressed by the encounter, Noriko makes a catastrophic mistake during surgery, leaving an eight year old child permanently paralyzed.

Within a week, Noriko once again asks the hospital administrator to transfer her to another hospital, citing her boyfriend’s continued harassment. The administrator asks whether she is serious and scolds her for failing to disclose the extent of the situation earlier. He also tells her that she should have informed him that she was working under such extreme pressure before performing surgery on the child. Noriko apologizes profusely and promises that she will file an anonymous report after reaching her new location.

Noriko is subsequently transferred to Himi, the largest city on Kaibina’s southernmost island, Samuijima, although it is still smaller than Hokori-Shi. Himi is an exceptionally cold city, and Noriko has now been there for a week. Despite the distance, she remains consumed by paranoia and fear that Minato will find her again. She barely sleeps and survives largely on alcohol, tormented not only by her fear of Minato but also by her guilt over the child’s paralysis and the mounting pressure from the institutions investigating the incident, and yet she hasn't filed a report.

At this point, the film changes perspective.

We follow Minato as he purchases 2 plane tickets to Himi. He is already running out of money after losing his job while pursuing Noriko. During the flight, Minato appears to be speaking with a woman he addresses as his mother. They discuss the amount of money and time he has spent searching for Noriko, and the reason behind his relentless pursuit is finally revealed.

Noriko had committed examination fraud and subsequently blackmailed one of her teachers after discovering that the teacher had done the same thing. Minato’s situation becomes even more disturbing when he remembers that this very teacher was responsible for his mother’s death. Five years after Minato was born, the teacher performed surgery while under the influence of drugs stolen from the hospital, resulting in his mother’s death.

As the plane approaches Himi, Minato reveals that he tried to attack the teacher several months earlier as an act of revenge. The woman warmly congratulates his attempt and praises his willpower. Afterwards, Minato explains that he does not intend to do the same to Noriko if she simply abandons her medical career or agrees to retake her examination honestly.

After the scene ends, the camera cuts back to the plane, revealing that Minato had actually been sitting alone in his row the entire time.

The following day, Minato arrives in Himi. He purchases a fish and a fishmonger's knife, intending to prepare dinner for Noriko after confronting her. He still hopes that, if she agrees to abandon her medical career or retake her examination honestly, they might reconcile. However, Minato has been suffering from persistent headaches. In one scene, he is seen talking to thin air, muttering about how he has not been well since leaving Futagoyama. He eventually finds Noriko outside her apartment. She is heavily intoxicated. When Minato greets her, she seems terrified upon seeing him, as she strikes him with the bottle of alcohol she has been drinking, knocking him unconscious in the middle of the corridor.

The film returns to Noriko’s perspective.

Initially, she considers murdering Minato and 'throwing his body to the fishes'. However, she realizes that doing so would make her suspicious because of the CCTV cameras throughout the building. Convinced that Minato will kill her as soon as he wakes up, she decides to incapacitate him instead and hold him hostage at her apartment.

Using improvised tools, Noriko erratically stitches Minato’s mouth shut. She then turns him onto his back and performs a clandestine operation on him, convinced that he will be unable to reveal the truth or kill her if he is physically incapable of doing so. Afterwards, she drinks herself to sleep, convinced that she has made herself safe. Days later, the film shows Noriko returning home late at night, once again drunk. Inside the apartment, a pale and immobilized Minato lies on a sofa. He has become the victim of Noriko’s reckless surgical procedure and can barely move his body properly. His condition has visibly deteriorated ever since he was last seen.

Noriko tries to give him some alcohol, only to remember that his mouth is still stitched shut. She awkwardly laughs before removing the stitches.

Minato can speak again, but despite the pain he has endured, he remains completely silent and almost catatonic.

The unsettling silence eventually drives Noriko to scream. She confesses everything, including the fact that she paralyzed a child while working under the pressure of Minato’s harassment. She demands to know why he is so calm despite everything that has happened.

In a desperate attempt to provoke a reaction, Noriko removes all of the restraints holding him down and kicks him. But Minato remains motionless. She eventually drinks herself to sleep once again.

The film shifts to Minato’s perspective.

Suffering from severe psychosis, Minato finally breaks out of his catatonic state after Noriko’s confession begins echoing louder and louder in his mind. Erratically stumbling through the apartment, he makes his way to Noriko’s room.

He takes the fishmonger’s knife that has been laid in the ground over the past few days, and kill her.

The credits roll as Minato is taken into police custody. A news anchor reports on the incident, explaining that Minato ultimately turned himself in.

Film Entry Application
Nation Name: Acatria

Movie Name: Rossana

Is this movie nominated for:
Best Picture [ X ]
Documentary [ ]
Documentary (Short Subject) [ ]
Animated Feature [ ]
Short Film [ ]

Synopsis of Movie:
For years, regional unrest and diplomatic tensions have destabilized the continent, and Acatria's capital of Carrico is hosting a historic summit intended to restore peace between several rival nations. The centerpiece of the event is an address by Leon Veyra, a charismatic presidential adviser and popular reform advocate who has become a symbol of a more transparent future. Security for the conference is overseen by the Acatrian Security Bureau, or ASB. Among its personnel, few are held in higher regard than Rossana Cinna. Rossana is introduced conducting precision security sweeps at the sprawling Glass Forum, a state-of-the-art waterfront convention center whose immense steel-and-glass dome overlooks Valmera Park. She is highly respected, intensely disciplined, and trusted by ASB Director Ezio Soccio, her mentor and the man responsible for recruiting her into intelligence service years earlier. The summit appears flawless.

As Veyra steps to the podium before foreign dignitaries and a global television audience, a single rifle shot echoes through the forum. Veyra collapses in front of millions. Chaos erupts. Security teams seal exits. Journalists flee. Delegates dive for cover. Within minutes, evidence begins appearing that points directly to Rossana. Security footage shows her entering a maintenance corridor near the shooting position. Digital records reveal encrypted communications issued from her credentials. Ballistic reports connect her service weapon to the assassination. Financial documents suggest she received substantial payments from foreign enemies of Acatria. The evidence appears airtight.

Before Rossana can even defend herself, she receives a private call from Ezio Soccio. Instead of demanding answers, he quietly says: "Run, Rossana. Whoever did this has already rewritten the story." Moments later, a heavily armed ASB arrest team breaches her safehouse. Realizing she has been abandoned by her own agency, Rossana escapes through the city's old harbor district. Pursued by tactical units, surveillance drones, and attack helicopters, she races across rain-soaked rooftops and through forgotten smuggling tunnels beneath Carrico's waterfront. The sequence culminates with Rossana leaping from a collapsing ferry terminal into the harbor below as gunfire tears apart the structure behind her. By dawn, she has become the most wanted woman in Acatria.

Hiding inside the capital, Rossana reaches out to one of the few people she still trusts: Dion Avallone, a cyber-forensics analyst she personally recruited years earlier. Dion meets her in secret beneath a crowded transit station. Unlike the hardened field operatives surrounding Rossana throughout her career, Dion is a quiet academic who sincerely believes intelligence work should protect ordinary people. He initially struggles to accept that Rossana could be innocent, but agrees to examine the evidence independently. Within hours he discovers something impossible. Rossana's digital profile was altered using classified software accessible only through an extremely restricted ASB program known to very few officials. Someone did not merely frame Rossana. Someone with tremendous authority manufactured an entirely new reality around her.

Dion arranges an emergency meeting in a forgotten data archive hidden beneath Valmera University. There he presents Rossana with encrypted files proving extensive manipulation of government records. Before he can reveal who authorized the operation, a bullet tears through a ventilation shaft. A sniper has located them. Dion is struck in the chest. Bleeding heavily, he seals the archive doors to delay the attack and transfers the files to Rossana. His last words are: "I checked the records twice. Somebody above us built all of this." Rossana escapes seconds before the archive is stormed. The death of Dion changes the nature of her mission. No longer seeking only to clear her name, she begins searching for who orchestrated the conspiracy and why.

Dion's files lead Rossana to Portoro. Operating beneath the city's ancient cathedral district is disgraced investigative journalist Elias Renn. Elias spent years alleging the existence of a secret network manipulating Acatrian politics from behind the scenes. His accusations cost him his career, his credibility, and nearly his life. Rossana tracks him through a sprawling underground book market hidden beneath Portoro's old quarter. When she finally confronts him, Elias surprises her. Instead of turning her over for the enormous reward on her head, he laughs. "Either you're the worst assassin in history, or you're asking exactly the same questions I am." Their relationship begins with mutual suspicion. Rossana views him as a conspiracy theorist. Elias sees her as a former enforcer of the very system he has spent years exposing. Gradually, however, they discover they are investigating the same invisible enemy.

Following clues assembled by Dion and Elias, the pair travel south past Ponte Campana. Their destination is Station Kestrel, an abandoned surveillance facility built during an earlier era of geopolitical rivalry. Gigantic radar dishes protrude from mountain ridges, and etire sections of the installation have been swallowed by avalanches. Evidence suggests the station has recently been used as a communications relay by a covert network operating outside official intelligence channels. During a violent storm, Rossana and Elias infiltrate the facility. Inside they uncover hidden archives describing dozens of major incidents over the previous decade: terrorist attacks, financial collapses, political scandals, and diplomatic crises. Many appear not to be spontaneous events at all. Rather, they were carefully engineered operations designed to manipulate public opinion and justify expanded government authority. Throughout the files appears a single codename: Horizon.

Before they can extract the archive, a well-equipped strike team arrives. A running battle erupts through crumbling corridors and collapsing maintenance tunnels. Explosions trigger an avalanche that tears through the mountainside, burying large portions of the station beneath rubble. Rossana and Elias escape aboard a tracked transport vehicle with only fragments of the data. What survives, however, is enough to reveal several names linked to Horizon. One of them belongs to a sitting senator. Senator Mara Solene.

Rossana and Elias secretly arrange a meeting with Senator Mara Solene, chair of Acatria's intelligence oversight committee. Unlike most public officials, Solene possesses genuine integrity and independent influence. The meeting takes place in Cadima at a government retreat housed within a centuries-old monastery perched atop dramatic coastal cliffs. After reviewing the evidence, Solene reveals that she had recently met Leon Veyra before his assassination. According to Solene, Veyra feared powerful individuals inside the government intended to manufacture a national emergency that would permanently expand state authority. He planned to expose them during the summit. Solene agrees to help bring the evidence before Parliament. The following morning, as her helicopter departs the monastery, Rossana witnesses a shocking act. A concealed explosive charge detonates inside the aircraft. The helicopter erupts into flames and plummets into the ocean below. Authorities immediately announce a mechanical failure. Rossana knows otherwise. For the second time, a crucial witness has been silenced.

Their investigation next takes them to Curatolo, an inactive military ammunition test range. Buried beneath its field's sands is a secret detention center erased from public records. Within its cells are journalists, dissidents, intelligence officers, and political opponents whom the government quietly disappeared over the years. The facility is overseen not by any official agency but by Horizon. There Rossana discovers Colonel Proteo Bonavita, one of Horizon's original architects. Years earlier Bonavita helped create the organization before becoming horrified by its ambitions. He was imprisoned when he attempted to leave. Bonavita reveals the truth. Horizon is not merely a conspiracy. It is a parallel government embedded throughout Acatria's institutions. Its members occupy positions in intelligence, the military, finance, media, and politics. Most shocking of all, Bonavita identifies Horizon's leader: Ezio Soccio. Rossana utterly rejects the accusation. Soccio was her mentor. He guided her career. He taught her what service meant. The idea that he could be responsible seems impossible.

Back in Carrico, Rossana examines decades-old security footage recovered from Horizon archives. Within the recordings, shadowed figures conduct secret meetings and direct covert operations. For much of the footage, faces remain obscured. Then one man steps into the light. Soccio. The confirmation devastates her. Alone in an abandoned coastal safehouse overlooking stormy seas, Rossana suffers her first emotional collapse. Every mission she ever conducted suddenly becomes suspect. Every success she celebrated may have strengthened Horizon. Everything she believed about her country appears poisoned.

At her lowest point, Rossana receives help from someone she believed had abandoned her. Catia D'Intino, a former field operative and one of her closest friends within the ASB, has spent the entire film publicly condemning Rossana on government broadcasts. However, Cata remained inside the ASB to conduct her own investigation. Risking exposure, she secretly supplies Rossana with classified schedules, security codes, and evidence connecting Soccio directly to Horizon. Together with Elias and Bonavita, Rossana begins planning a final operation. Unfortunately Horizon discovers Cata's role. She is arrested within ASB headquarters. Under interrogation she refuses to reveal Rossana's whereabouts. Days later Rossana obtains internal surveillance footage. The recording shows Cata being executed by Horizon operatives before her death is disguised as a suicide. The loss becomes the film's most painful moment. For Rossana, Horizon has now murdered not only allies but family.

The evidence gathered by Cata finally reveals the location of Horizon's nerve center: Citadel Zero, a vast underground command complex beneath Carrico. Constructed decades earlier as a continuity-of-government bunker, the facility has evolved into a hidden surveillance empire. Thousands of live intelligence feeds cover its walls. Entire floors are occupied by data centers. Every major domestic monitoring system routes through its infrastructure. As Parliament debates sweeping emergency legislation aboveground, Horizon prepares to assume legally sanctioned control over national security. Rossana assembles a final team consisting of Elias, Colonel Bonavita, and a handful of loyal operatives. Using abandoned subway tunnels beneath the city, they infiltrate Citadel Zero. A fierce battle erupts inside the facility. Gunfights spread through server farms and communications centers. Security forces pursue them through maintenance tunnels and command corridors. During the assault, Colonel Bonavita remains behind at a fortified checkpoint. Knowing he cannot escape, he detonates explosives that collapse an entire corridor, sacrificing himself so the others can reach the command center. His death buys them precious minutes.

Rossana finally reaches the central command chamber. Soccio is waiting. The massive circular room is surrounded by enormous surveillance displays showing every major city in Acatria. Rather than attacking, Soccio attempts one last recruitment. He explains that Horizon engineered every major crisis in order to preserve national stability. Terror attacks. Political unrest. Economic emergencies. All were carefully controlled. According to Soccio, democracy left unchecked would eventually destroy itself. Horizon merely accelerated necessary decisions. Rossana rejects him. She argues that a nation governed through fear and deception has already surrendered its future. Their final confrontation becomes intensely personal. Mentor against student. Father figure against surrogate daughter. Idealism against cynicism. As they fight, Elias races to upload Horizon's archives through Citadel Zero's communications network. One by one, screens across the chamber begin displaying breaking news reports. Government officials resign. Military leaders refuse orders. Journalists publish Horizon's files worldwide. The conspiracy is collapsing in real time. For the first time, Soccio realizes he has lost. Rossana defeats him but refuses to kill him. She leaves him alive to answer publicly for his crimes. Security personnel loyal to constitutional authority arrive and take him into custody as the hidden empire he spent decades building unravels around him.

Months later, official investigations clear Rossana of all charges. The truth about Leon Veyra's assassination and Horizon's activities becomes public. Numerous officials are arrested. Others disappear before they can be captured. Although the government offers Rossana reinstatement and national honors, she declines. The experience has permanently changed her relationship with authority. The final scenes show her living quietly along Acatria's coast. One evening an encrypted message arrives from an anonymous source. Attached are documents indicating that remnants of Horizon survived overseas and may be reorganizing. Rossana studies the files in silence. After everything she has endured, she finally allows herself a faint smile. Not because the fight is over. Because she knows exactly what must be done next. The screen fades to black, leaving open the possibility that Rossana's greatest mission still lies ahead.

Synopsis of Movie:
Four years after witnessing atrocities committed by the brutal regime in the fictional Central Ausianan nation of Karovia, billionaire inventor and philanthropist Gallicano "Cano" Mannella fakes his own death and assembles a covert vigilante team dedicated to eliminating criminals and tyrants beyond the reach of governments. Adopting the codename Zero, he recruits a spy (One), an assassin (Two), a parkour thief (Three), a trauma surgeon (Four), and a getaway driver (Five), all of whom abandon their former identities and become known collectively as the Ghosts. On their first mission in Sul-Ajman, the team abducts the lawyer of Karovia's senior military commanders and obtains intelligence on dictator Teodor Malý's inner circle. After a high-speed chase through the city involving both organized crime figures and police forces, the Ghosts escape, but Five is killed during the operation. Seeking a replacement, Zero recruits Ettan, a former special operations sniper burdened by guilt over the loss of his unit. After staging his death, Ettan joins the team as Seven.

Zero reveals his ultimate objective: overthrow Teodor Malý and install the dictator's imprisoned younger brother, Imrich, a democratic reformer, as Karovia's leader. One reveals that she had previously participated in Imrich's capture during her intelligence career. The Ghosts assassinate Malý's four most powerful generals during a weapons summit in Ellmau and discover that Imrich is being secretly held in a heavily guarded penthouse in Chonsheuan. The team successfully infiltrates the facility and extracts Imrich, but Three is captured and brutally beaten by one of Malý's enforcers. When Zero orders the team to proceed without him, Seven disobeys and rescues Three, creating tension within the group. In the aftermath, the members begin revealing their real first names to one another, though Zero continues to conceal his identity.

Arriving in Karovia, the Ghosts launch the final phase of their plan. One hacks the national broadcasting network during one of Malý's televised addresses, allowing Imrich to appeal directly to the public and call for democratic reform. His speech inspires a nationwide uprising, while coordinated acts of sabotage isolate the regime's remaining loyalists. As civil unrest spreads across the country, Malý escapes aboard his private superyacht. The Ghosts assault the vessel and disable its defenses using one of Zero's experimental electromagnetic devices. During the battle, Three again finds himself in mortal danger. Rather than continue his pursuit of Malý, Zero chooses to save his teammate, demonstrating a newfound loyalty to the people he leads. Although Malý initially escapes by helicopter, he discovers that Imrich and the Ghosts have taken control of the aircraft. They transport him to a refugee camp populated by victims of his regime, where he is abandoned to face the consequences of his actions and is subsequently overwhelmed and killed by an enraged crowd.

Following the revolution, Imrich becomes Karovia's interim president and begins implementing democratic reforms. The members of the Ghosts disperse and pursue their own lives, with One and Two beginning a romantic relationship and Three and Four remaining close companions. Seven discards his rifle but keeps a single bullet as a reminder of his past. Meanwhile, Zero travels to Lavoro, where he secretly watches Jolina, a woman he once loved and her young son from afar before departing to prepare for the team's next mission.

Director: Andre Streicher

Other crew (optional):
written by Harald Krauser and Ian Tanneberger, music composed by Caesar Herrlein

Production or background information (optional):
Principal production commenced on September 30, 2025. Over the subsequent months, shooting would be completed in several cities of Utobania, Lachau, Sulifa, and the Emmirian cities of Rhaga, Kuye, and Hazarabad. In Emmiria, 17 locations were used, some standing in for Sul-Ajman and Chonsheuan, and the fictional Karovia. The Emmirian military worked with the crew, providing soldiers as extras as well as aircraft that appear in the film. A lengthy car chase set in Sul-Ajman consisted of sequences filmed in Sul-Ajman itself, between October 22 and November 22, 2025, but also in Kuye and Rhaga. Director Andre Streicher was able to obtain permits to close streets to film the speeding cars. In an interview, Streicher expressed some surprise that Sul-Ajman had allowed filming of the car chase in its historic area. "There's a lot of priceless stuff in this movie," he said, "like where we have cars flying between an obelisk on display. Why they allowed me to have flying cars by an obelisk that's 800 years old, I don't know. But we didn't hurt anything." After Streicher watched their videos on VidTube, the Laysian parkour team NiceAveni joined the film's production to choreograph and perform the parkour sequences in the film. They perform stunts between skyscrapers and cranes, including some scenes on the Burj Aghabin. Principal photography wrapped on December 5, 2025. The film's production reportedly cost ℕ150 million, making it the most expensive Utobanian film ever.

Synopsis of Movie:
In March 1953, as the Allied armies advance from the unoccupied regions of Utobania toward the occupied province of Parmio, young clerk Iva Celestino works in the office of Parmio's collaborationist mayor. Though the occupation has divided families and communities, Iva and her widowed father, a respected local doctor, try to remain politically neutral and focus on survival. Her younger brother, Davide Celestino, has chosen a different path. Secretly active in the Utobanian Resistance, he is arrested after impulsively throwing a rock at a passing Laysian military convoy. During brutal interrogation, Davide breaks under torture and divulges the names of several fellow Resistance members, leading to a wave of arrests across the province.

At the same time, Abaco Paterniti, an Utobanian volunteer serving in the Laysian Army, is transferred from the fighting in Lachau to the provincial capital of Lavoro. Assigned as translator and secretary to the area's military commander, Daciano Panno, Abaco initially views the posting as a respite from the front. However, his proximity to the occupation authorities exposes him to the harsh realities of Laysian rule. He witnesses collective punishments, arbitrary executions, and the routine intimidation of civilians. Increasingly troubled, he finds himself sympathizing with the local population he is supposed to help govern.

Abaco first encounters Iva when she and her father are granted an audience with Panno in a desperate attempt to save Davide's life. During the meeting, Panno coldly assures the family that leniency will be shown to young offenders and implies that Davide's cooperation will be taken into account. Encouraged by these promises, the Celestinos leave believing that the boy may be spared. Abaco, disturbed by what he knows of Panno's methods, becomes emotionally invested in their fate.

His fears prove justified when Panno later signs orders condemning Davide and the captured Resistance members to death. Horrified, Abaco risks punishment by attempting to secretly warn Iva before the executions take place. His effort is interrupted when another officer notices the exchange and reports him. Viewing the act as disloyalty, Panno humiliates Abaco by assigning him to the firing squad tasked with carrying out the executions. Forced to participate in Davide's death, Abaco is then immediately reassigned to frontline combat duty and sent away from Parmio.

Davide's execution devastates Iva and destroys her belief that neutrality can provide protection. While sorting through her brother's belongings, she discovers that his Resistance activities had extended far beyond the incident that led to his arrest. Hidden among his effects are photographs documenting Laysian fortifications and troop deployments along the Catarine River. Through Resistance contacts, Iva learns that the images may be crucial to the approaching Allied offensive.

Determined to continue her brother's work, Iva joins the Resistance. Using her position in the mayor's office, she gains access to restricted municipal records and discovers a detailed tidal survey of the Civita Inlet, identifying a navigable channel through marshland and shallow water that could permit an Allied crossing. The Resistance recognizes the map's strategic value and assigns Iva and her closest friend, Elena, the dangerous mission of delivering both the map and Davide's photographs to Allied forces advancing on Lavoro.

Parallel to Iva's growing involvement in the resistance movement, the film follows a group of Allied soldiers participating in Operation Curti, an airborne assault intended to accelerate the liberation of Parmio. Among them are Elbresian glider pilot Sergeant Hugh Alvey, Elbresian officer Lieutenant Pardey Turner, and Free Utobanian infantryman Orio Miano. Their glider is struck by anti-aircraft fire while crossing the coast and crashes into a flooded estuary deep behind enemy lines.

The survivors struggle through waterlogged marshes and eventually reach a remote farmhouse. There they learn from the owner that Operation Curti has largely failed and that Allied airborne units have become scattered across the countryside. The farmer informs them that ground forces have nonetheless crossed into Parmio from Free Utobania and are slowly advancing toward Lavoro. With little choice, the three soldiers set out on foot to rejoin Allied lines.

Their journey becomes an ordeal through flooded terrain, constant danger, and dwindling supplies. Isolated from the rest of their unit, they take shelter in abandoned buildings and drainage structures while avoiding Laysian patrols. After an exhausting march, they are inadvertently left behind by retreating Allied troops. When Laysian soldiers eventually discover their position, a firefight erupts. Lieutenant Turner, already weakened by injuries sustained during the crash, is killed. Later, Miano becomes physically incapable of continuing. Unable to swim across a flooded channel and slowing their escape, he urges Alvey to continue without him. Reluctantly abandoning his friend, Alvey reaches Allied lines and rejoins the advancing army.

As Allied forces close in on Lavoro, resistance activity intensifies throughout the province. Iva and Elena begin their journey toward Allied positions carrying the photographs and tidal map. Pursued by occupation forces and informers, they travel through villages devastated by combat and repression. Their mission ultimately ends in tragedy when they are intercepted shortly before the decisive Battle of Noe Riveno. Elena is shot during the confrontation, and Iva is captured. Despite her mortal wounds, Elena succeeds in passing the map to nearby Allied soldiers before collapsing. Her sacrifice ensures that the intelligence reaches the Allied command.

The battle that follows becomes the film's central military engagement. Abaco, returned from the front, participates in the Laysian defense of Lavoro. Although increasingly disillusioned, he remains trapped within the army's collapsing command structure. Across the battlefield, Alvey advances with Elbresian and Saint Offeatean forces during an initial assault against heavily fortified Laysian positions. The attack devolves into a costly frontal struggle, producing heavy casualties while achieving little progress.

Allied commanders subsequently incorporate the information provided by Elena's recovered map into a revised attack plan. Identifying the previously unknown channel through the Civita Inlet, Allied forces launch a daring amphibious maneuver across terrain the defenders had assumed impassable. Emerging unexpectedly on the Laysian flank, the attackers destabilize enemy lines and begin forcing a retreat.

During the chaotic fighting, Alvey and Abaco encounter each other amid ruined defensive positions. Both men raise their weapons and hold one another at gunpoint. Recognizing in the other a weary soldier rather than a fanatic enemy, neither fires. After a tense silence, they lower their weapons and move on, each disappearing into the confusion of battle.

As Laysian defenses finally collapse, Iva escapes captivity during the retreat. In the disorder of the withdrawal, she is attacked by a desperate Laysian soldier. Abaco intervenes and kills the assailant, saving her life. The struggle leaves him critically wounded by enemy gunfire. Iva, drawing upon the medical skills she learned from her father, desperately attempts to treat him. As Allied artillery echoes across the town and the sounds of liberation approach, the two share a final quiet moment. Abaco expresses regret for his service to the occupation and sorrow over his role in Davide's death. Despite Iva's efforts, his injuries prove fatal, and he dies beside her.

Soon afterward, Alvey and advancing Allied troops enter the liberated streets of Lavoro. They find Abaco's body lying near Iva. Understanding little of the personal history that brought them together, the soldiers can only observe as Iva rises and silently walks away into the crowd of liberated civilians. The scene closes the intertwined stories of sacrifice, guilt, resistance, and redemption that have unfolded throughout the occupation.

In an epilogue, it is revealed that the Allied victory at Lavoro allowed the reopening of the city's strategically important port, dramatically improving Allied logistics along the Parmio coast. The success of the offensive contributed directly to the wider liberation of Parmio Province on 1 August 1953. The film concludes by noting the sacrifices of both soldiers and civilians whose actions helped bring an end to the occupation.
