SACTO Advanced Wargaming & Military Realism Training Center
Thread WIP / Closed For Now
||INTRODUCTION||
Welcome back to The Crucibles, Hunter-Killers.
This thread is established to commemorate SACTO decennial anniversary, and as of right now, this will also serves as a soft relaunching of SACTO alliance community in mainstream NS/II roleplaying scene. Well SACTO has been active back in 2014-2018 period but majority of our community had moved forward from NS roleplaying, and SACTO pretty much went into dormancy ever since. This thread, hopefully, will change all that and bring back SACTO from the shadows.
What this thread is about?
This is will be a fully military centric roleplay. Conventional roleplays in NS/II is a combination of competitive storytelling in which players writes a story involving characters, situations and try to apply their skills against each other in order to secure a 'win'. The Crucibles will skip characters, plots, etc and instead focus on the following - detailed strategic writings on military appreciation process - which includes but not limited to mission planning; course of actions analysis; concepts of operations planning; scheme of maneuvers, and the wargaming execution itself. Here, we will focus on planning a war and executing those plan.
This will be a logical based & strategic decision making roleplays. (And also test your concise writing skills).
As a Hunter-Killer, you shall roleplay as the commander, assisted by your staffs; be it at the tactical or operational level, you will be commanding all the way from a company tactical levels or all the way to operational level division formations.

How The Crucible works?
IMPORTANT: Players will plan and execute the wargame based on actual RL terrain but using your nations lore and technologies.
The Crucible will be based entirely on actual topographic maps to enhance realism to maximum. (Unless players can offer up highly detailed fictional maps based on their nations, the high level wargaming required as much detailed as possible and for now actual world maps shall be used.)
