You no longer have to choose between making your own news thread or TGing someone else to run your story in their news thread. If you still want your own news thread, fine. This is if you want to casually submit your story without having to dig up an old news thread or start a new one. This can range from local news from a city in your nation to national news to world news involving your nation or its allies. I will just lay down a few guidelines.

• Make your stories neat and presentable
• Put at least some thought into your story (Don't put spam stories, F7-type stories, or one liners such as "This just in! My nation just cloned Justin Bieber 1000x and then genocide n00kt them all!!!!!1!1111!")
• This is NOT the satirical F7 thread that sounds similar, this is for actual IC stories.
• Keep your stories in-character (also try to avoid using OOC phrases such as "my nation")

This thread is OPEN, feel free to submit your news stories as long as you follow above guidelines.

I'll let it go. This is like a news thread where anyone can submit a story. So in your case you could, say, create a news story about a crime in your nation and post it.

A official opening ceremony happened today as secretary of state Nike Nicaea and Queen Anastasia Johns activated the reclamation nanos in the western desert outside of polar city on Terra Niciae, These nanos will capture and sequester radioactive & toxic particles in glass to be collected by other nanos and turned into glass blocks for disposal.

This marks the official beginning of operation green Niciae, a massive planetwide clean up of Terra Niciae from the effects of the civil war. The operation will take approximately 4 years to complete and will cost 500 billion credits, but as the Queen stated in her speech "the net gain to the economy and environment will be priceless".

Advance polls opened today for Fatatatutti's Presidential election. Turnout has been brisk all day and is expected to remain so until election day.

Front-runner Alphonse arrived at the polling station at Sunset Avenue Elementary School early this morning, accompanied by long-time friend and confidant Choo-Choo Kamehameha, age seven, formerly eight. Sources inside the polling station reported that Alphonse flew up onto the table and attempted to eat the pencil. Choo-Choo declined to say whom she had voted for, since she is a personal friend of both leading candidates, Mickey Chang and Alphonse.

Last night's televised candidates' debate elicited several pointed questions from audience members for Mr. Chang and some of the lesser-known candidates.

Alphonse did not attend and seems oblivious to the fact that is name is even on the ballot. Despite his aloof campaign style, he has remained high in the opinion polls. His staunchest supporters are confident that his joke candidacy will translate into real votes in the ballot box.

When asked if it would be embarassing to lose to a duck, Mr. Chang said that he trusts the people of Fatatatutti to choose the best candidate for the job.

News from Aelmeadow

Today the Orwyn Central Military Command and the Imperial Governor of Aelmeadow confirmed that a meeting with a new race did occur. In the release it is admitted that even the best laid plans fall through. As they did quite literary. Just yesterday High Admiral Oster met with Admiral Umka of Len-Marx on a moon of the planet Aelmeadow is located. As of now the planet has no name as both the Emperor and Imperial Governor Levey agree that the name should be picked by the natives of the planet and that name only will be recored in Orwyn history. For distinction to the military and trade ships it is on charts as OIH-543A43. The meeting between Oster and Umka went well with a new military agreement ready to be signed by both parties. As Umka was returning to his ship the connection between them broke. Since most if not all crew members of the Azasu preform their daily duties in nanosuits Orwyn Imperial Guardsmen were able to respond to the incident within seconds. The crew from the Len-Marx shuttle feared the worst and tried a failed attack thanks in part to their quick actions and lack or forethought. High Admiral Oster being the sliver tongued man he is was able to talk down the situation and keep damage to a minimum. At the moment Admiral Umka is still in the Orwyn shuttle on the moon receiving basic care. It has been suggested by the medical crew to relocate him to the Azasu temporarily so recovery can be expedited. Upon closer inspection of the link between the shuttles it was confirmed as an accident as our shuttle was not built to handle the weight put upon it.

Homosexuality Ban

The government of Capitalist Arcadia passed a bill banning homosexuality. The Ministries of Culture and the Interior were quick to offer asylum to the people the law effected. A summit between many nations is scheduled in the next few days. Unlike other governments that cut relations with Capitalist Arcadia the government of Orwyn has established and embassy to better understand them.

Ishidra

The nation known as Ishidra has passed two laws one banning religions and the other approving capital punishment for illegal aliens. Out cry from many nations was great. In the out cry of the first law the Orwyn government again offered asylum. After much discussion the first law was repleted. The second remains in effect.It was enacted when Ishidra was a member of the World Assembly. The Orwyn Foreign Ministry offered advice as to leave the World Assembly so as to have greater power over them selfs. Ishidra did follow that advice. Many rumors have been flying about war with Ishidra. The OCMC confirmed it was not the stance of Orwyn to fight a war. It seems though sides are being formed as nations move around their "wet" navies and other military related equipment. The official government stance as always is to not interfere with anything on Earth.

Verbergerkinnh Celebrates First Anniversary of Its National Guard


Verbergerkinnhese troops march down Polun Avenue

IMGORTUR, VERBERGERKINNH - The Verbergerkinnh National Guard celebrates the first anniversary of its founding with the usual pomp associated with this newly-incorporated state. Drummers and buglers in full regalia went to the tune of "Defensa," the military tune of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft. Following them were the tanks and armored personnel carriers, or APCs. Finally, the men and women of the National Guard themselves, marching to a steady tune and shouting "Ready!" to the crowd. They saluted to President Makhdoum Be and Governor Bill Enkomya, who were standing on the steps of the state Capitol. Verbergerkinnh was incorporated into Abanhfleft on December 21, 1992, currently the last state to enter the nation. The Fleftic Congress has only recently approved the formation of a National Guard in the state on this day of the year 2009.

This is unnacceptable in the modern world, and we call on the government to prepare sanctions against the nation in order to bring it into line with the rest of the world"
At Confederation House, President Richard Baxter said that he was "deeply troubled" by the law and "would not rule out anything" in response to this.

Wikipedia and Universe Sends Aid and Deploys Warships to Italian Maifias Following Nuclear Attack

Following a barrage of nuclear strikes on the Armed Republic of Italian Maifias by Hardenburgh and requests for aid by the former, Wikipedia and Universe sent supplies and decontamination teams to the nation to rebuild and clean up. In addition, the Wikipedian Navy deployed the Aegis cruiser WUNS Ó Conaire to Italian Maifias to protect against further strikes. Other ships were deployed in open sea near the area on standby. Since the conflict with Hardenburgh ended, the ships are scheduled to leave the area and return home.

Following rumors that a storm of raw sewage was heading for the Dog Hold, people began rallying in the capital city of Talvhord demanding that the government "do something". College students wielding signs bearing messages such as "Stop the coming shitstorm! Literally!" gathered in front of the parliament building and protested. Prime Minister Disrohb Leidaun addressed the populace, saying that "Should this rumored sewage storm be found to be actually heading toward the Dog Hold, the government and its services will act accordingly to ensure the safety of all Holdian citizens." Leidaun also stated that he would be willing to detonate a small nuclear warhead over the ocean in the middle of the storm in order to dissipate the storm "if it ensures the safety of the Dog Holdian people".

Air Crash Puts Mailing Company in Jeopardy

BOHUDA, MUFEWEK - Mufewek Mail Flight 16, a routine flight from Onghawesk to Bohuda, crashed near the outskirts of Bohuda. The company, long known for using obsolescent aircraft for its services, has taken responsibility for the crash. There is much evidence to suggest that Flight 16 went down due to engine failure. The crew have been identified as Semyon Dilattu, pilot, and Remy Serroni, copilot. This is the fourth such crash for Mufewek Mail in over a month, resulting in a total of two deaths and over five hundred injuries, most of them innocent bystanders on the ground. Congress has already put forth a motion to ban Mufewek Mail from operating within both the state of Mufewek and the Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft, although this can be reversed if Mufewek Mail agrees to bring all of its aircraft to present standards. Company president Bilbo Sobolov has not yet made a statement.

On June 6, 2010 at 10:30am, President Clinton Truong was shot at the chest by a unidentified masked man in the crowd while making his speech for his re-election, the masked man also shot Vice President Simo Pajdic who was unfortunately fatally shot at the head. President Truong was quickly rushed to the New Melbourne Hospital where doctor says he is currently in critical conditions. As of this stage Secreaty of State Cynthia Tang will be Acting President while President Truong is under surgery. The unidentified masked man was shot dead by Secret Service while trying to flee from the scene

When all peoples of Cheona are busy to work in Jiang, a industry complex in Cheona, the big explode was happen in one of factory in there. The small factory that known is that the shoe factory exploded and killed all of worker in that factory. Cause of the explosion was still under investigation by the security forces of Cheona Empire. But, provisional estimates of this explosion is that there is a large gas cylinder explodes.

"There is.... A big explode... In that factory... I see that building is burn and explode twice... All man in here screaming loudly. I just run and find police to secure this area..." said one of witness in surrounding area.

Proceeding firefighters to evacuate victims of the explosion was carried out several minutes ago. While the relevant data about casualties still vague.

After a long conflict in the northern Põhjamaa region of the Dog Hold, Holdian forces withdrew troops from the region and declared their mission was a success. On November 15, 2009, after anarchist guerrillas armed themselves and began rioting in towns in Põhjamaa to "create an anarchic utopia in Põhjamaa that the people need", the Dog Holdian Military was deployed to the region to restore order. Following the formation of the Holdian Anarchist Free State Organization (HAFSO), an anarcho-communistic terrorist group that began ordering weapons from foreign nations, the Holdian military became far more committed in the area, battling guerrillas in the forests and cities of the Põhjamaa region.




"The anarchists were a new enemy, and a very hard one to defeat.", said General Frederik Metsamees, who led the operation. "Like many insurgent groups, they are elusive and violent. However, since they are hardened anarchists, they also rarely have a hierarchy; they don't believe in it unless it is absolutely necessary. They don't surrender easily, either. You can take an anarchists home, have killed all of his fellow insurgents, and taken all of his weapons, and he will still keep coming at you with his fists, nails and eyeteeth." Metsamees said to the press. Holdian tactics used to wear down the guerrillas included air and sea patrols to prevent shipments of new weapons from arriving, blowing up and completely destroying all caches of weapons that were found, and confiscating all weapons from every dead anarchist to prevent them from falling back into the hands of fresh terrorists and then destroying them. Dog Holdian soldiers also conducted sweeps of forests, burned all anarchist camps, and put multiple soldiers on every street corner of a city as well as in the streets. Towards the end of the conflict, most anarchists were starving and demoralized and simply threw away their weapons and headed back to their homes.


After the last belligerents were either killed, imprisoned, or simply decided to stop fighting, cities returned t peace and stability and the Dog Holdian military began to withdraw. Following the withdraw, Prime Minister Disrohb Leidaun spoke in Talvhord. "This is a proud but sombre day for the Dog Holdian people, there was much loss of life, but now we can return to a peaceful and stable realm for which we all have yearned."
