Zhouran Central News Agency 11/20/XX Zhouran Promises To Not Intervene In Zimbabwe Coup Ministry of External Affairs says that Zhouran In regards to the recent coup d'état happening in Zimbabwe, the Ministry of External Affairs has stated that the People's Republic of Zhouran will not intervene and will instead remain neutral. The coup, which started a few days ago on November 14, has resulted in the dictator Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace Mugabe being placed under house arrest while elements of the Zimbabwe Defense Forces engage in a power struggle against Mugabe loyalists and a faction of younger generation supporters known as "Generation 40". The Embassy of the People's Republic of Zhouran in Harare issued warnings to Zhoruanese citizens in the Zimbabwean capital to stay indoors because of the military activity in the city while the Ministry of External Affairs warns Zhouranese citizens to reconsider travelling to the impoverished African state. Grand Admiral Tan Zhineng, current Premier of the Central Council, called "for everyone to make dialogue and avoid any form of violence", stating that "Zimbabwe must find a peaceful resolution to end the coup". However, at the same time, he also blamed President Robert Mugabe for getting himself into trouble by failing to address the socioeconomic issues of the country which have left Zimbabweans impoverished and angry, while also criticizing Mugabe's draconian leadership and corrupt bureaucracy. In regards to the safety of Zhouranese citizens in Zimbabwe, Senior Marshal Su Rongyu, current Chairman of the People's Defense Council, has stated that ZPA Air Force assets in Tanzania are "on standby to rescue Zhouranese citizens in Zimbabwe" and that ZPA Ground Force troops in the embassy remain on "full alert in the event that the coup becomes unstable and violent".
