Furthermore, please double check your broadcaster has their broadcaster booth confirmed. You will be allowed to conduct interviews on the days that your broadcaster is in the booths, broadcast live from the village and do whatever you'd like in there really!

How is it going to work
Sign-ups for the WorldVision Village will close on 25th May 2023 @ 21:00 BST so hopefully, you can get your entrants in by then! The RP section of the thread will then open at that point and users will be able to post exciting updates in the run-up to the open day WorldVision Village.

Red Carpet RP If people would like to have a red carpet RP, that will happen on the discord thread but I would encourage people to RP about what was worn on the red carpet between the 26th and 27th May and if I get enough posts, it might feature at the WorldVision Song Contest.

WorldVision Village The night before each day (so on Day 1, the 27th May at around 11pm) I will post the official line up of what is to happen and users can post what their representative is doing on that day, and for the broadcasters who are in the village, they can post their stories/interviews or twitter posts etc from their day at the village. BITC will be doing this throughout the week.

Day 7 will run between Saturday and Monday when the Jury votes close so users can have more time to RP for the final day.

More about Saintlake

Near Saintlake Station...

Saintlake is one of Britonisea's main tourism attractions. The river in the city leads to this large lake which is around 2,100 hectares big making it the largest body of water in the city. Saintlake is located near the Mile which means it has spectacular views of the Doportedas business centre skyline yet, thanks to the lush greenery around it, makes it seem like a break away from the madness. The large Titian carpet will stretch alongside the waterfront, starting from the busy station-end before going to a small castle alongside the waterfront where the Opening Ceremony will occur behind closed doors. All WorldVision entrants will arrive in black chauffer driven cars, where they can step out - to meet and greet the hosts for the show, Paulette Harrington and Joe Wilson, before walking along the carpet to meet fans and the press.

Everyone will arrive in alphabetical order, except for Britonisea who will arrive last. Thus, Achaean Republic will be the first nation to arrive at the Titian Carpet.

Fans can easily access Saintlake by taking either the Central or Bromedam lines to Saintlake Station or you can take the Lightrail Doportedas which has an adjacent station.

Like anything in Britonisea, everything was done on a big scale. The "Titian Carpet" on the weekend before the contest would take place bySaintlake, one of Britonisea's main tourist attractions. Saintlake offered spectacular views of the Doportedas Central Business District with its tall modern skyscrapers and office blocks whose facades reflected into the crustal blue waters below. The large Titian carpet stretched alongside the waterfront, starting from the busy station-end before going to a small castle alongside the waterfront where the Opening Ceremony would occur behind closed doors. Hearing about the length and magnitude of the carpet prior, Prilla opted for some sensible footwear.


As the sleek black car gracefully pulled up to the venue, Prilla and her six female backing dancers emerged, exuding poise and confidence. Prilla's entry blasted in the background. The vibrant energy of the enthusiastic crowd and the media frenzy gathered on this picturesque summer afternoon was incredible. Dressed in exquisite, locally made Malta Comino Gozoan dresses, the group looked nothing short of spectacular. Prilla, in particular, stood out in her baby blue dress, adorned with a stunning embroidered hem that flowed elegantly with every step she took. She held a delicate white handbag in her left arm, adding a touch of elegance to her outfit. Completing her look were two shimmering silver earrings, tastefully adorning her ears. Her backup dancers wore equally gorgeous dresses in complementary hues, accompanied by chic sunglasses that added to the already impressive ensemble. With a small MCG flag held high in her hand, Prilla waved to her adoring fans, who cheered in response. Positioned to her left were the charming Paulette Harrington and Joe Wilson, the esteemed hosts for the afternoon's highly anticipated Titian carpet event.


The music stopped as the hosts spoke. "Welcome back to our show! We are delighted to speak to the delegation from reigning champions MALTA COMINO GOZO! Prilla, we appreciate you taking the time to join us!"

Prilla smiled playfully and curtseyed to her adorning fans, many of whom had travelled here from MCG.

Thank you for having me. It's my pleasure to be here.

"Indeed, it's a dream come true for me to represent my country on such a global stage!"

"We are in the amazing Doportedas for the competition. How has your experience been so far?"

"Ah! The city is beautiful, and the people have been very welcoming and friendly. I've enjoyed exploring different neighbourhoods and trying out the local cuisine. The whole city is so excited!"

"Let's talk about your music now. What inspired you to pursue a career in music, and where do you draw your inspiration from?"

"Music has always been my passion since I was a child. Growing up in a family of musicians, my parents encouraged me to follow my dreams. I get my inspiration from personal experiences and the world around me. I believe that music has the power to heal the soul and bring people together."

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the WorldVision Titian Carpet event, where the stars of the 107th WorldVision Song Contest gather for a week-long celebration of music and talent.

This year's event is taking place in Doportedas, and it promises to be one of the grandest Song Contests ever, with a multitude of pre-show events and parties planned. Our friends from Britonisea certainly know how to throw a spectacular celebration!

This afternoon, we'll have the pleasure of witnessing each of the competing artists grace the Titian Carpet, which combines the essence of a fashion parade and a movie premiere.

Now, for today's event, the artists will be called in alphabetical order, starting with the Achaean Republic. That means our very own Beepeean representative, Isaac Dixon, won't have to wait long before stepping onto the carpet."

Galiya Nott Hits the Titian Carpet in Doportedas

Just one day before the rehearsals are set to begin in Doportedas, the artists make their Titian Carpet debut, where gives them an opportunity to interact with fans, journalists, and each other before the contest officially begins. The nations were introduced alphabetically, save for Britonisea, the host country, who was due to be the last to walk the carpet. Being from Polkopia, Galiya Nott was scheduled to walk the carpet after Placely Placington's entrant, Melty. As she awaited her cue to step out of her car, Galiya sat in the back seat, palms sweaty. Prior to the event, she was super excited to have the chance to meet people face-to-face, but now that she was actually here, she couldn't help but feel a bit anxious. She had always been a bit of an anxious person - even before stepping on stage to sing, her mentors had to work with her to conduct breathing exercises to calm her nerves. She had never publicly expressed her anxiety, as her "brand" relied on her being confident and unapologetic to showcase her diva attitude, and anything that slightly contradicted that could be detrimental to her career. So, she always dealt with this in her own way, taking medication if need be, but tonight the pills didn't seem to be working, and the nerves were taking over.

She almost missed her cue to step out of the car, but once she did, she looked around at some of the journalists at the front of the area, who turned to focus their attention toward Galiya. One of the members of the Polkopian creative team, who had been the one to open her car door, extended his arm toward her. She took his hand and squeezed it as she made her way toward down the carpet. Although she was smiling, her mind was moving a million miles a minute. What if she stumbled? What if she was rude to someone, or said something offensive? Her team hadn't prepared her for some of the questions she might expect, and simply told her to "be herself."

She was gestured to proceed down the carpet by herself and she approached the first clump of journalists who were shoving past one another to be at the front of the row. Someone handed her a Worldvision pamphlet, which had already had signatures from some of the other participants, and she allowed herself to laugh a bit. Okay, this wasn't so bad, she could sign a few pieces of paper. She chuckled and signed her name on an empty space and handed it back. She then posed with a couple fans for pictures, and started to walk further down the carpet.

"Galiya! Galiya! Have you had a chance to listen to some of the other songs?! Which one is your favorite?"

Galiya took a step back after a journalist practically shoved his microphone in her face. She laughed and placed a hand on his, gently pushing his arm away to give her some space. She knew everyone would like to hear her say that Britonisea was her favorite, of course, but she remembered the advice she was given prior to this event. Be yourself she said to herself and took a deep breath.

"Well, um, I like the song from Besen a lot. I also like the one from Ugunnustan." She paused as if she was going to say more, but bit her tongue and nodded. "Yep, those are my favorites." She let out a nervous laugh and moved down the line.

"Galiya, what do you think of the Britonish song? Do you think it'll win?"

"No, I think I'll win," she said sarcastically, but then her eyes widened as she realized what she had just said. "No, no, I'm kidding! It's a great song, I actually watched Vha Mehlodhivestoile and she... I forgot her name, Ella? Emma? I'm so sorry, I can't think, but anyway, yes, she's a great performer and I can't wait to meet her!" She let out another nervous laugh and some of the other journalists laughed with her.

Galiya sighed and proceeded down the carpet. Okay, she thought to herself, I hope they didn't take that as rude. Some of them were laughing, that's a good sign, right? She fought the sudden impulse to turn around and talk to the journalists again to clarify what she meant, and kept moving forward.

She approached a group of fans who were all cheering her name and she laughed. She hugged a couple of the fans, signed more memorabilia, and took some photos.

"Galiya, how do you feel? How are you? I'm so excited to see you!" One of the fans exclaimed, in Polkopian.

Galiya laughed and responded back in her native tongue, "Well, I'm excited too, Polkopia's back and we're here to win!"

The fans laughed and gave her one last hug before she proceeded to move forward. She then approached the host(s) of the event, who were standing near a backdrop of the Worldvision 107 logo.

"Ahh Galiya from Polkopia! Welcome to Doportedas! Did you catch the view of the city from Saintlake?"

"Well," Galiya paused, "Not yet, I mean, I've been answering questions all evening, but I'll try to get a good look this evening."

"You should! If you stand right over there, you can get the best view of the skyline." The host pointed toward the end of the Titian Carpet where there seemed to be a gap in people. "Of course, the entire waterfront is beautiful, but over there you'll be able to get the best view of the city."

Galiya smiled and nodded. "I'll definitely check it out, I've seen pictures of the city and I'm excited to see it all in-person."

The host smiled. "So how does all of this compare to life back in Polkopia? It it much of the same?"

"Well, not quite," Galiya laughed, "I'm from Peeto, and it's not nearly as..." Galiya paused as she tried to think of the word in English. She moved her hands around a bit as she tried to come up with the word, and the host mimicked her movements, causing Galiya to burst out laughing. "No, I don't know, everything is so bright and busy here, and it's beautiful, but it's a lot quieter at home."

The host nodded, "Yes, yes, this is true, but it's Worldvision season, and we're excited to welcome everybody here! Do you-"

"Flashy!" Galiya burst out, but then covered her mouth. "I'm sorry, that's the word I was trying to think of!" Her face turned a bright red and this time, the host burst out laughing.

"Yes, I guess you're right," the host said once they stopped laughing, "but you look absolutely beautiful today, who are you wearing?"

"Oh, Stas Ilyovitz, he's a Polkopian designer," Galiya said, looking down at her dress. Stas Ilyovitz was a name most followers of Polkopian fashion trends had heard of, but was by no means a 'big' name. Ilyovitz was commissioned to design her Titian Carpet dress as well as her outfit for her Worldvision performance.

"Okay, last question before I send you off, can you tell me anything about your Worldvision performance? I'm sure I already know the answer, but I'll try anyway"

Galiya pursed her lips together in a tight smile and looked around. She then shook her head and laughed. "I'm sorry, I can't say anything!"

"No, no, I figured! Okay, well be sure to have some champagne and enjoy your night! Good luck!"

"Thank you," Galiya said, before taking a glass of champagne that was offered to her by a nearby server, as she continued down the Titian Carpet. This wasn't nearly as bad as she was expecting. In fact, this was actually kind of... fun?
