Welcome to Amethyst, the Elfen Imperial Capital of the Holy Empire of Elvwitand, a vast castle city, in the heart of Elvwitand, where the rivers converge and the politics of the land convene and commerce thrives! Elf, mages, human, dragon, vampire, beast, arachnid and so many more alike come to the city to see the sights and soak in the culture or better yet participate in combat! Welcome to the Capital, a new RP where you explore a vast fantasy city of all kinds of creatures. Though a fantasy based world, All are welcome to participate regardless of tech level and add or disregard these happenings in your canon as such. Though I'd sure hope you'd have some kind of canon with little old me :)
How/When You'll Arrive: Don't fret too much about this aspect because you'll already be in the city and enjoying yourself. But for a little roleplay background building sake, ordinary people will have arrived by the sea any point from right away to a day or two ago, really doesn't matter. Other fantastic methods of arrival (e.g. beaming down, magic portal, etc.) can have also occurred. It's up to you how much if any background details you want to fill in. You can start either day or night and ask to be progressed or regressed as you desire. Time of day will determine what events are open or what kinds of people you'll encounter. Example, you'll see more vampires at night or more younger children during the day and so on.
How You'll Get Around: If you're a normal person, plenty of options exist but foot is most common. Giant buses carried by Woodland Hippocampi (our national animal) can also shuttle people around place to place, or maybe you'll find a friendly witch to give you a lift on her broomstick!
What is there to See: Plenty of sights can be seen though time of day can also effect this. I don't have an exhaustive list so any suggestions, I welcome. But here's a few;
- The Great Castle Caerleon: Standing high, tall and proud, the crown jewel of the empire home of the Imperial family and Empress herself. Guided tours are offered but be sure to follow your guide lest you find yourself eternally lost in the maze of endless corridors. [Tours during Day; Exterior accessible at Night]
- The Battle Arena: Don your chainmail bikinis and leather thongs, grab your broadsword and battleaxe or simply buy a ticket to the national sport of gladiatorial fights. Nobody dies as blades are all enchanted and a mage can heal but a knockout is still a loss. Fame, fortune and glory awaits the winner at the end. VIPs will get access to the Empress' personal arena box! [day and night]
- The Hunters Guild: Feeling adventurous and courageous ? Join a quest at the Hunters Guild or learn what drives the souls of many in the Empire to protect the lands from devastation. [Day and Night]
- The Imperial Library: Endless array of knowledge at your fingertips, the literary soul of the Empire, walls of books floor to ceiling! [Day]
- Pubs: need a drink or a hearty meal, plenty of these line the street. Barhop or find a watering hole to plant some roots in. [Day and night]
- Saint Innes Academy: Where the best and brightest students of the Empire go. Get a tour of the school and maybe learn a thing or two. [Day and Night]
- Communal Baths: Great minds do their best thinking in the hot water or maybe you want to sing your heart out? [Day and Night]
- Katoomba: Chances are you arrived here via this beauty of a ship, a fully rigged three masted sailing ship travels long and far under the courageous captainship of Runze Vuvriroh and her mate, Ukneha Ame. If you came aboard this ship, show your appreciation to the Captain for navigating the unforgiving Unknown Sea and delivering you safely. Not the only ship naturally but a real pride of the Guild. Take a three-hour tour aboard around the harbor and down the tri-river delta. [Tours Day; but also accessible at night]
- Areal Tours: Pegasus Skyland Tours will give you a stunning view of the city from above. [Day and night]
- Infinis: A Mighty Clock in the heart of the city square. Small on the outside by absurdly large on the inside! [Day and Night]
- Temple Row: The religious center hub of the Capital home to the temples of the deities in Elvwitand. All temples are accessible and welcoming to guests but certain chambers are restricted to clergy or races. (not to say you can't slip into one of them *wink wink nudge nudge* ) Mighty stone temples hand crafted to worship in. Pay your respects to the deities, become a convert!

-The Great Temple of Fa: Named for the Goddess Fa, Goddess of Dragon Kind and the roaming dragons that control the weather of the land.
-The Great Temple of Kephy: Named for the Goddess Kephy, the Goddess of Human Kind
Many other shrines and churches exist for minor deities and subsects but these three represent the core beliefs of Elvwitand Mysticism
As said, not an exhaustive list, plenty of things can come up, out of the blue so let's world build together!
Few basic rules:
1. Remember, treat your fellow players with respect.
2. Make sure forum rules are followed. There are some uh ahem activities one might engage in a big cosmopolitan city but remember it can't be put into greater details.
3. The focus of this about tourism and leisure and enjoyment. No characters will be off the table for now but ideally you want to send someone or someones to enjoy the sights, not a political entourage. Some of you may indeed have a chance to meet the Holy Empress herself but trying to engage her in diplomatic business she will simply giggle and tell you, "We're enjoying the sporting tournament and not engaging in business now." Speaking of my Empress,
4. Any attempts to assassinate her you will be cut down immediately, so don't even try. This is not that kind of RP.
5. Not really a rule but remember this is a fantasy based RP so have fun with it! I'm just encouraging creativity is all.
On Battle Arena Tournaments: Originally I was planning on this thread being a tournament focused RP but the logistics into planning that seemed more suited for NS Sports and probably well beyond my capabilities. I'm happy to allow you to fight each other in the arena but that would be something you need to work out between each other. If you desire to fights with my NPCs, results will be generated through random dice rolls if you are willing to go on a matter of trust for fair results. As mentioned there are no serious penalties for losing matches, you won't die or be kicked from the RP or anything like that. Other ideas, I welcome your suggestions.
