Bio: Born to the House of Espelande, a low ranking aristocratic house in Aureumterra with landed estates near the city of Stávanger, and the daughter of Baron Björn and Baroness Klara Esplanade, Johanne always grew up in a dual environment of sorts. Being part of the petty aristocracy gave her access to some amount of privilege, though her lower rank reduced that considerably. She grew up mostly on her family’s estate, the Esplanade Manor, attending a local private school for young girls of rank in the area. While attending formal balls, banquets, and parties with her parents and friends in the local area, she would also go hiking, backpacking, fishing, with her father.

Her father and mother, despite their family history, were keen on making sure she grew up outside the reach of the Crown of Aureumterra and whatever political machinations it tangled people into as Johanne came of age. Toward that end, they sent her for secondary education to Germany, along with many other members of prominent Aureumterran families. It was here Johanne became acquainted with many heirs and heiresses of prominent aristocratic families in Aureumterra, something which would come to haunt her later in her life. She took a keen interest in science and biology, rare for a girl in Aureumterra of her rank, and finished her schooling near the top of her class. She further spent a year in Germany going to a local German medical school, completing her MD equivalent and returning to her home soon afterwards.

Studying medicine by profession, she ended up becoming a practicing doctor and served as a field medic for the Imperial Army for a year. During her time in the service of the Imperial Army, she was assigned to COIN battalions in Iceland fighting the flaring insurgency in the 90s. At the time, she was indifferent to most of the Empire’s policies regarding its overseas holdings, and dutifully fulfilled her role during her tour. However, she also became friends with a few locals and, much like her parents, grew a distaste for many of the Empire’s actions. Her contact with Icelanders who would later go on to become insurgents invited an investigation into her House by the Imperial Guard, though her parents connections managed to cover it up for the time being.

Having settled back at her family estate in Stavanger, she spent the next couple years as a general practitioner and opened a hospital in the city for commoners, something which ostracized her from members of her own extended family and the rest of the aristocracy, as it was seen as a profession not fit for a woman of her rank. Life was rather mundane for her during these years, and she would continue to attend balls and gatherings in hopes of finding an adept husband. Despite many suitors from the local aristocracy taking her fancy, she never found anyone she’d like to have married, and remained unmarried for much longer than most women in Aureumterra.

Eventually, her actions back in Iceland, along with her father’s opposition to the recent brutal counterinsurgencies undertaken by the Empire in Iceland, came back to haunt the family following the assassination of Empress Lisette III and the coronation of Emperor Frederik IV. A purge initiated by the Emperor against almost every aristocratic house in the Empire to root out any opposition to his rule or sympathy to insurgents. Johanne’s connections to many Icelanders, along with her father’s views put the family back in the spotlight of the Crown, further worsened by the fact that she had fallen out with the woman who would later become Frederik’s wife and Empress of Aureumterra, Ingrid Korsagärd. Fearing a probable purge and imprisonment of herself and her family, she quickly sought to marry off to a foreign country not only to save herself, but her entire House…

Bio: Born October 15th, 2004, Margot was the last of six children, after five years, and the second daughter of the Elise-Bourbon family, born to Emanuel de Elise and Marie de Bourbon. Typical of a French-Lux Pulchrean daughter of a noble family, especially one related to one of the ducal families, she was brought up extensively as a lady. But sadly(for her traditionally minded family), the internet age had reached the youth. Enthralled by the dark culture of the 90's and 2000s, and emboldened by the growing subculture among the rebellious Lux Pulchrean youth, she came to be a bit of a "black sheep", quite literally. She had taken up a gothic appearence with black clothing, atypical piercings, boots, black lipstick, odd hair, but remained her somewhat girly self. Even when sent to the ONMI, it didn't change her. Nonetheless, she was brought up in the same etiquette schools as her sister Cecile, regardless of her other "interests". As much of a pain it was, she battled through it. In 2022 she graduated from a girls' secondary school, Sacred Heart Academiy(Académie du Sacré-Cœur), with high honors, no plans for university yet.

Her family life pivoted when in 2019, Cecile was approached for courtship and marriage by His Majesty Cleone IV, and married in 2020. More eyes were on their family now. More and more families had approached them, for one reason or another. Margot especially got attention from families with young sons. But those were shot down rather quickly.

Now older, and slightly more mature, Margot is at least willing to attempt to fulfill some of her family's expectations. But how can you beat your sister who's already the Queen? Why, try to be a queen yourself. Not feeling particularly pressured, Margot shrugged and decided to try her hand.

Although not a traditonal girl, she has fallen for traditonal interests. Since a child, she had taken up ballet and in her early teens found a fascination with fencing, even earning a province championship. She also took up horseriding, although only rides casually now. And just to be the untraditional girl she was, she had taken up savate, but that didn't last long.
